This story hit me on a very personal level, making it a hard one to get through. Of the three sisters, I related to Frankie right away. As the oldest in a family with a neglectful mother and an absentee father(s), Frankie had to take over parental responsibilities that no child should have on their shoulders. I was disappointed in the younger two's lack of appreciation. Thankfully, they came around by the end of the book. The healing process has a way of doing that if you let it.
I was provided a copy of this book by the publisher, but as always, my opinions are my own.
