I devoured this book. This book was so freaking amazing. I am in love with Banks, she is so badass and amazing in every way possible. I want to marry her, Kai step aside. I love how protective Kai is of her and I am in love with the nickname little one I want that to be my nickname. This book had me so stressed trying to see what Damon would do and nervous to see if Banks would go with Kai or her brother. The stuff that Banks had to go through just for being a women infuriated me beyond belief, I can’t believe people are so cruel just because they are a women. This book was so incredible I loved it! Please check your trigger warnings if you plan on reading it!

This book is one of my personal favorites, while I don't think it would do great in a library setting. I can recommend it all those spice lovers.
It was nice getting more of Kai, but I do wish this was more about Kai.
I loved banks and Kai together, and I loved seeing the rest of the characters as well.
My heart absolutely broke for Damon, and banks as well.
I think banks and Kai are so chill and I love a man that gives a girl his credit card!!!
Although the intricacies of the fantasy world were challenging for me to fully grasp, there's an undeniable passion in the writing of this book. The author's enthusiasm shines through, creating an atmosphere that I can imagine would be truly captivating for those who delve deeper into its complexities. While I couldn't immerse myself entirely, I believe that for readers with a penchant for intricate fantasy, this book is likely a well-crafted masterpiece worth exploring.
i really loved seeing banks being a fighter and being badass. she is loyal and i loved getting to see her backstory. we get to see kai and banks history and all the fun tension between them. this series has been really fun and i love all of the suspense and mystery and i cannot wait to see where it ends!
Hideaway, told from dual POVs, is a suspenseful, dark, violent and cryptic quest for truths. While Banks is weaved into story beautifully and my heart bled for her, parts of story felt long-winded. It ends with shockers, truth, sacrifice and forgiveness. I cannot wait for Damon's story in book 3, Kill Switch.
This was a very, very dark and interesting read! I have read a few dark romance books in the past, but this one definitely took the cake!! The author has a haunting writing style that grips you and doesn’t let go until the very end. The spice levels in this story were absolutely off the charts! If any of this sounds like it’s right up your alley, then I highly recommend picking this one up. Be aware though that there are trigger warnings for harm and abuse.
Read it. Yes, it’s a dark romance. Yes, read the trigger warnings because it does touch on some sensitive topics but this isn’t a super dark book. It’s actually a great series and I liked this one even more than the first.
Kai knew there was something special with Banks from the moment he first spoke with her. And let me tell ya, he is a man a woman doesn’t mind being hunted by. And hunt he does! Banks unfortunately is his friend (or ex friend’s) sister. And so the tale begins… revenge or love?
I did go back and read book 1 of the series before I started this one. You can read this one as a stand-alone but I would highly recommend starting with book 1. Solely because this series is just too could to not start from the beginning.
I received this book from the publisher & NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. All opinions expressed are solely my own.
Chapter 1 definitely opened with a surprise. I didn’t find myself wanting to continue reading so stopped (4%). I tried “Birthday Girl” by Penelope Douglas and that one didn’t work for me, either.
Thank you to NetGalley and Berkley for the ARC.
