Her Adventures in Temptation is the third book in the School for Scoundrels series, but it can be read as a standalone. Ever since I read Her Lessons in Persuasion (book 1), I’ve been invested in the welfare of these five orphaned friends. I adore these soft and sexy heroes. There’s a lovable underdog quality to these characters that I can’t help but root for them. Of course, the icing on the cake is their book club! I also admire these strong and unconventional heroines. Myrtle is an endearing character. She’s a math wizard with a sweet tooth. Instead of marriage, Myrtle wants to use her business acumen to assist women in managing their fortune. I love that Simeon not only encourages her, but also helps her to achieve her dream. Simeon was raised by an artist single mother, who instilled in him the idea that his art must come before everything, including love. However, when circumstances force Myrtle and Simeon to fake an engagement, they learn that they don’t have to choose between love and their careers—they can have it all!

If you’re looking for a cute, light read, do check out this fluff and enjoy! I think Fenton’s book is up next. I can’t wait!

How stunning is that cover?

My thanks to NetGalley and Avon for providing me with an e-ARC. All thoughts are my own.

First off, look at this cover. I don’t know why clinch covers are disappearing and I hate it. This cover is STUNNING! Anyway, the book was also great. It was light hearted and not as plot driven as previous entries. I had a great time reading!

This a great series of engaging men and their love stories.

In this book. Simeon Jones, an artist, meets Myrtle Allen when he is accused of having an affair with her sister in law and Myrtle enlists him to leave to London with her so she can start her life on her own terms rather than marrying as her brother was insisting.

When they get to London Myrtle is enlisted to help her niece get through the Season, and she ends up being "encouraged" by her brother to present to be engaged to Simeon when they have been too friendly in public. The misunderstanding of this book is that both are in love but don't want to be the reason the other doesn't use their gift (Simeon's art and Myrtle's head for numbers).

I really enjoyed the characters and assume that the next book will be Fenton's since he shows back up and his "mystery" is discussed among the group. This book was a bit more lighthearted and not as plot heavy as others, but it would be a good choice for readers who enjoy books about independent women and bluestockings.

This book is also one of the few where not only are children not a big part of the story, but there isn't an epilogue that includes them having a baby to round out the story. There are few of those books so that makes this one more special. A great series to check out.

I received a preview copy and am giving an honest review..

Her Adventures in Temptation by Megan Frampton was an extremely delightful and at points LOL read. Ms. Framptons writing seems to blossom with each addition to the series. The heroines quirkiness only enhanced my likeness for her and the hero is adorable!

I want to start off by saying thank you to Avon Books for letting me read this book. Her Adventure in Temptation is the prefect book for someone looking for faking dating, spice but not too spicy, royal theme, and of course romance. I personally did not like the beginning of this book. I felt confused about the characters and didn’t really like the storyline. I like that each character had their quirks and personalities but I wish there was a more interesting way they could’ve met. I did like the description of the book and the title. I think this book will be perfect for the readers who are really into royal esc type of books! I would rate this book a 3/5.
