Looking for a perfect small town sapphic fall romance with a cute dog? Look no further. This book left me just happy and smiling and ready to cuddle on the couch with my partner and drink cider. The characters are so believable and so loveable. I want to live in this town and be their friends.

This was cute if you are looking for fall vibes in a Hallmark feeling book. I enjoyed my time reading it but ultimately I know this won't be one that sticks out or makes any favorites lists.

I really loved the small town aspect of this book. Sapphire Springs reminds me of Gilmore girls and I loved the side characters and environment. However, the story left me feeling quite empty the whole time. I didn’t really connect to the characters. It felt conflicting being insta love but also having a conflict the entire novel. If it wasn’t one thing it was another with these two. I liked them enough, they’re not awful, but nothing to rave about. They just feel fine together to me.
I do wish there was a bit more character development as well. I feel like they didn’t grow much throughout the story or with each other. I would have loved to see Jenny explore other career options during her time there rather than in 20 minutes on a plane in the last few chapters of the book. I wish Blake could have received more love for her career the entire time.
The proposal in the epilogue killed it for me and made my rating from a 3 to a 2.5 star because tbh it sucked ??????? What kind of proposal is that. And the tattoo……yeah that made it a 2 star. Because that was truly incredibly cringy. I almost wish I didn’t read the epilogue.

Overall, this is a very okay book. I didn’t hate it but don’t have anything to really rave about.

Jenny is an influencer who goes back to her hometown after a scandal and to celebrate her friend's wedding. Going back to the small town after having been in LA is an adjustment but what makes it even more difficult is running into Blake.

Blake is a doctor who is building her practice in her hometown after a break up. She's happy to be home to heal her broken heart. She's just settled in when Jenny breezes back into town, her high school crush.

Jenny and Blake must work together as Amanda's bridesmaids to get the wedding in order when the weddingplanner has to cancel. Feelings resurface and they act on their attraction despite the exparation date as Jenny is only in town temporary.

I love me a good small town romance and enjoyed these two together.

An ARC was provided to me via Netgalley in return of an honest review.

I can appreciate this book but for me, it fell unfortunately a bit flat. It reminded me too much of a cheesy hallmark movie and there are definitely an audience for that but it isn't me. I also didn't like any of the main characters which unfortunately didn't help me liking it. But for each to their own.

I loved this gorgeous love story! Jenny and Blake going from enemies to lovers, alongside the influencer angle, this was a lovely light read that I couldn't put down!

Really enjoyed reading, kept me reading in every spare moment. So true that sometimes things that seemed so good in theory could be simply bettered.

Sapphic fall babes? *salutes* I'm there.

Pining for years? *sobs* SO PERF.

The way Blake and Jenny were together was (sometimes) a hot mess express. But my GOD. The feels that I got from this book and the way I came to love these characters and Sapphire Springs. I wish it was a real place with real Blake's because I HAVE A MIGHTY NEED. This is everything I want in my sapphic romances and Elizabeth Luly absolutely delivered!

Sweet, but corny in a not-very-self-aware way. It’s not the best sapphic romance I’ve read, but it’s still a fun, easy read. The stakes are very low and the story is cute.

I like Jenny and Blake as our heroines. Jenny isn’t a glitzy, glamorous internet star, but a realistic influencer, struggling to establish and keep her modest following and working through an adult dyslexia diagnosis. Blake is also unglamorous, a rural doctor spending half her time helping patients apply for financial assistance. They are both absolutely awkward and adorable about it.

Blake has a niece and nephew, who are too sickly sweet for my taste, and the Hallmark-perfect fall New England backdrop is played very straight. There is a period where the characters dress up in regency garb for a party and I am a big fan of it.

A wonderful story but the storytelling itself was lacking. A lot of the descriptive language relied on telling with very little showing. The characters were well fleshed out but the writing style did not support them in feeling realistic. I did really love the smut and the character chemistry and the banter so the book has great potential and I believe the author’s upcoming books will show great improvement.

This is the fall sapphic romance book that I have been craving! The romance is so cute and sweet. There were times I was definitely smiling and almost giggling at how cute they were. Blake is smart and sweet. She is so nervous due to her crush on Jenny, and it is just so adorable. Jenny is amazing and I really loved learning more about her as the story progressed. They both had a lot of growth throughout the story and it ended up working out so well.
The premise does sound a bit cheesy but the execution was anything but. Unbelievably well done and the perfect romance book to pick up if you are looking for some thing sweet and a little spicy.

A sweet autumn sapphic romcom about two ex-high school classmates finding each other again. I really liked the scene setting around the small town, but I find the story a little difficult to follow. An easy, escapist read.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher, as always.

Quotes:

- It was Mr. Darcy, crossed with...a very hot woman. And I was here for it. Really here for it.
- Bossy Doctor Mitchell was kind of hot. I wonder how Blake feels about role play…
- Blake was basically my hot, terribly distracting, flannel-wearing lumberjane.

Review:
I saw the cover to this book and immediately knew I had to read it. This is a story about Jenny who goes back home for the holidays runs into Blake who wasn’t a friend or enemy they were just the two queer kids that were out in High School. Neither knew how the other truly felt and that caused them to think they disliked each other. After both being part of their old High Schools career day they keep running into each other and it just gets more awkward. That is until they just can’t resist what they are feeling and decide to just date until Jenny leaves to go back to LA and no strings attached. We all know that isn’t going to work and before they can realize it they are acting very much like a couple until Jenny gets a call about a new opportunity and has to decide if she’s going to take it or stay in her small home town.

5/5⭐️

This book was an adorable fall/holiday sapphic romcom, with all the warm and cozy vibes of a Hallmark movie and the spice of a porno (what more could a lesbian ask for?)

The small town vibes were immaculate and make me wish I lived in a Hallmark-esque small town so I could meet my own hot lesbian doctor. Oh well, escapism will have to do.

I will definitely be keeping an eye for the next book in the series (I love George and can’t wait to see her get her own love story).

All in all a great book to read this time of year and get all the cozy fall vibes you could ever ask for.

This is the perfect fall romantic comedy. In the same vein of a hallmark movie, this one is full of blooming romance, comedic events, and adorable fall dates. I highly recommend to people who want a cozy fall read.

3.75/5 stars rounded up!

This was a perfect palate cleanser book. It's a cute, sweet, predictable romance that give you cozy fall vibes and warm fuzzies. I liked the alternating perspectives, but sometimes it seemed like their personalities were so similar I forgot which one I was reading about. Very cheesy, very predictable, but sometimes you just need that in your life and I am here for it! Spice was really good, too!
