Enemies but there's an attraction that both can't explain.
Enemies not in a private but in a business sense, he businessman who wants to reach the peak of his career and you who want to save your community.
beautiful story with many ups and downs that don't make it easy for the two of them.
But also very nice dates and a lot of feeling

Have fun reading!

The premise of the book is what ever book lover dreams of- an attractive, mystery man meets you at the library.

I felt the end of the book was rushed and disjointed, but enjoyed the book as a whole.

This was such a cute cozy quick read, I really enjoyed it, especially the fact both main characters are book lovers and Lily is a Librarian with cats, I liked Lily and Rupert’s cute enemies to lovers story, and the setting in New York. I’m looking forward to reading the next book.

I liked this book, it was sweet. Beyond the romance it emphasized the importance of small communities in a big city like New York. I liked how Lily and Rupert tried to get to know each other and maintain a relationship even though they were ‘enemies’. The resolving of the main conflict felt a bit rushed, though. But all the characters were lovely (except Aiden) and there was a happy ending.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me a copy of the book.

Big developer sets out to close down a community garden and ends up falling for the librarian who is fighting to keep it from happening... sounds like a pretty familiar story, right? Yes, if we're being honest, it definitely sounds like your typical Hallmark movie plot, doesn't it? So, chances are if you're not a fan of those cute and sometimes predictable romances this one isn't going to be for you either... but if you're like me and find comfort in that type of story, this is a really fun read and a quick one at that. I loved the chemistry between these two, and I also appreciated that there was more going on besides him simply being the bad guy shutting things down. It definitely made the story more interesting!

My Book Boyfriend is a closed-door romance with some minor language throughout and a couple of fade to black moments. Being FTB, I'd say it went just a little further than the books that I typically read personally (as clothes were starting to come off) but ultimately, it's definitely still closed door with no on-page details.

**I received a complimentary copy for consideration. All opinions are my own.

This was a very sweet, quick and lighthearted closed-door romance. Lily & Rupert's first meet was very cute! Both of them were mature characters and I could understand both of their sides. However, it felt like they lacked depth. Their characters were monotonous and some side characters especially Lily's friends were terrible advice givers. The end was wrapped up pretty quickly but the writing was easy to get into. At times I felt bored but I still enjoyed reading this book.

This was a fun quick read. Lighthearted dialogue. No drama! Lilly and Rupert knew going in they had the cards stacked against them but when it feels right you make it work!

This book was an absolute treat! I love a super cute romantic comedy read and this one nailed that! It was fast paced enough that the reader won't get bored, but it's not too fast that the reader won't feel the story is rushed. I could not put this one down once I started reading and that's how I know a book is GREAT. I highly recommend this book and will be recommending this to my patrons as soon as I can!

Lily is a strong female character with a take no prisoners attitude behind her sweet smile. she loves her community garden and after it is threatened to be torn down for more housing developments she must fight to save it.
Rupert is such a gentleman just trying to make things right after a family falling out before he was born. He wants to be Co-CEO of his family company and the pitch for a new housing development is the deciding factor.
But after Rupert meets Lily at the Library she works at everything will change.
Can you be enemies and lovers?

this book was a quick and fun read! It was Cozy with just the right amount of comedy and romance!
The whole book had me captured.
The story was fast paced and well written.
The plot was strong.
The main characters were easy to love and sympathize with.
And The side characters were fun and witty,
They almost stole the show!
The feeling of found family after tragedy hits you really resonated.

I really really liked this book. It was so cute and fast-paced. There were so many great lighthearted wholesome elements. From the moment I read the title I knew I would love this one.

It literally had everything! Bookworm characters. Humor. Banter. Swoon-worthy lines. And it was just so refreshing to read a cute rom-com with no heavy angst or third-act-breakup!

All the characters were so adorable. I seriously enjoyed this story. It made me feel like I was in a New York rom-com film because of the way Kathy Strobos described New York?! It was so simple yet so realistic. It was fantastic!

Fast easy read but it wasn't well written and the characters weren't believable. Half the things they said made me so confused because I just don't see regular people talking like them. I liked the plot idea though and that it was supposed to be enemies to lovers but it failed on the enemies to lovers part. They were enemies for like 2 days.

My Book Boyfriend:
I received this book as an ARC off of NetGalley a few days ago, and I must say I loved this little read! The story wasn’t extremely long, and it had such a cozy feel to it! It had engines to lovers but wasn’t so drawn out it felt like it was a push or took too long to get to the out come! I think the author did and amazing job at telling the story and making it straight to the point! I loved how it just felt like I was in the story with them the whole time! I can’t wait to read more from this author! I was blown away at how easy it was to read, and connect with all of the character!

Super fast read for a summer day! The perfect cozy romcom to just enjoy, very easy to read.
Double POV, first friends then enemies to lovers and a great sense of community.
Lily wants to save her beloved garden from destruction by the hands of the mysterious man that she's just met, Rupert.
Will she be able to save it and not fall in love in the process?
Read it to find out!!

I liked this book. Rupert was a very good man, I loved him. He did everything he could so Lily didn't lose the garden. He was a genuinely good person, he tried to show Lily who he was that he was much more than he seemed at first glance. Lily, I liked that she didn't give up on her beliefs. She irritated me sometimes when she didn't trust him when he didn't give her any reasons not to. But yeah, still, I liked her as a person. They were a very good couple, I really liked them together, they really did fit beautifully

This was an OK read for me.

I so wanted to love this book, as I really liked the cover and the blurb felt promising. However, I had great difficulty in thoroughly engaging with the characters. I felt like the dialogues weren't fluid and had a tough time having a clear image of everyone in my head, in order to really feel enraptured by the story.

In the end, it is a sweet story, with a lot of potential, and I did like some parts, where I could laugh and swoon. I liked that there were no miscommunication and (apart from the CEO meeting) that honesty prevailed.

My Book Boyfriend...

This was a very sweet quick summer read! I loved both Lily and Rupert! When Lily and Rupert first meet, it is in the library where Lily is the Librarian. There is an instant spark and they both loves books.
Little do both know, they will be competing against each other as Lily co runs the community garden and Rupert runs a company that wants to tear up the garden for business reasons. Rupert needs this deal to go through so he can prove to his grandfather that him and his cousin Rowena can be co-CEO's. His grandpa doesn't feel that can work, so he has to prove to him it can.
As Lily and Rupert become enemies, they also can't deny their feelings to each other and their bond of books.
You will enjoy this sweet story from Kathy Strobos.

This is a fun light romance. Lily is a librarian who co runs a community garden. Rupert is trying to get a co-CEO job with his cousin, to prove himself he has to demolish the community garden to make way for new flats. Enemies to lovers with some fun book club meetings. I loved the interactions between our MCs and the importance of reading to bond them together. I liked that there was no miscommunication and it felt like a realistic portrayal of the events. I may be biased as I work in a library but I loved the descriptions of how it helps community. The garden is a great vehicle to drive the story and the children protesting dressed as veg was super cute.

A fun, short easy read. Highly recommend.
