Heartfelt and addictive! We're back in the fold of the lovely D'Angelo family again when restaurant manager and friend Salena moves in upstairs and falls for Gio's new brother-in-law. The characters are hard not to love, the setting is humorous and warm and the angst is at an all time high when an even stricter Italian family than Mari and Luca come into the picture! I loved every minute of this book and the series in general. We need more siblings so we can keep returning!
I highly recommend this book as well as the entire series to anyone who enjoys a buttinsky family who always has to be a part of every brewing relationships and who loves hard and loud. Such a fun family!
This is the third in a series and honestly might be most appreciated by those who've read the earlier books mostly because that will make it easier to sort out who's who and how everyone fits together. Salena and Ryan both have secrets (not bad ones). She's working at and living above the D'Angelo's restaurant and she's got a quiet side hustle as well, Ryan might be tattooed and ride a motorcycle but he's a canny businessman. You know that these two will get together, that it will be a sweet relationship and that there will an HEA, don't you? Enjoy the journey. Thanks to netgalley for the arc. A good read for a lazy afternoon.
Amazing story right here! Salena & Ryan will steal your heart in this one! 5 stars!
Salena is tired of living under her old fashioned Italian parents roof, so when the opportunity to move over the restaurant where she works comes up, she jumps at it, much to her parents dismay. She swears she won't end up like her sister, pregnant! And it is her besties families restaurant after all! When she meets Ryan at her besties brothers wedding, while she isn't looking for anything special he definitely catches her eyes!
Ryan is different than the rest of his family, though there isn't anything he wouldn't do for them. But he doesn't want the same things they do, and that's ok for him, his parents, not so much! When he spots Salena, he's immediately taken with her, and wants nothing more than to get to know her better!
Read along and enjoy their story as it unfolds! You will love it!
Sometimes you just have to be you, who you really are, and nothing is going to change that. Salena Barone and Ryan Rutledge, just have to be who they really are, and when they meet at the Rutledge-D’Angelo wedding, it is an instant attraction.
The two of them took me on an adventure, that was exciting, pushing the boundaries, a little, and definitely added excitement to my life. I did enjoy reading this story.
I received an ARC from Montlake through NetGalley.
This is the fourth book in the D'Angelos series and while I've enjoyed each of these books, it can certainly be read as a standalone. In this book, Salena who grew up with the D'Angelo children is trying to get some independence and move out on her own, or almost on her own. Her parents are not at all ready to let her go on her own so she moves into an empty apartment at the D'Angelo's building. But when she meets Ryan at a friend's wedding, she realizes maybe she doesn't want to be totally alone, even if she does want her independence.
Ryan and Salena were both great characters and it was easy to get caught up in their story. Although, there were times when I did question Salena's judgement. Overall, this was another great read by Catherine Bybee.
I have absolutely loved this series and now that the immediate family members are enjoying their happily ever after its time to get to know best friend Salena a bit better. Despite her strict Italian upbringing, Salena is unashamedly confident in her own sexuality and flaunts it in the way she dresses, the way she acts. Struggling financially when she comes across an opportunity to make money that is somewhat gray but definitely not a family approved venture you just know it's going to bite her on butt, but you can't help but cheer her on.
Tattooed and pierced Ryan Rutledge is a rebel on his own. He better than most can understand Salena's motivations and when he starts to romance Salena, he can see all the way through to the soft marshmallow heart that Salena hides from all but her closest friends.
Another wonderful chapter in the D'Angelo family legacy.
Another amazing installment in the D’Angelo series! I swooned over Ryan and was happy to hear more about Selena’s story. While this book can be a standalone I would recommend reading the rest of the series so the reader knows about all of the amazing characters. Love, secrets, food - this had it all! As always I am ready to head to San Diego/Temecula after reading :-)
This was such a great addition to the series!
Salena is struggling to stand on her own feet and prove her independence to her family. It’s a very real struggle that I could relate to although she has a bit of drama with her separation from her parents. Watching her find herself in the midst of falling in love added a bit of angst to this storyline. Her ultimate victory over her hurdles made this an even better story.
Ryan was incredible. He was the type of hero that I enjoy reading when it comes to pursuing the heroine. While he wasn’t all alpha rough and tough, he was thoughtful and determined. The banter between him and Salena was fun and kept me engaged as their relationship grew.
This is probably one of my favorite books of the series although it’s a hard call to make. Quite possibly it’s my favorite because it’s the latest one I’ve read as I have loved each book. While this can be read as a standalone, I highly recommend you enjoy the previous books.
Salena Barone has always been a disappointment to her parents, she is too wilful and won't listen when they advise her to get married and settle down. None of her life choices please them so when she moves out of the family home to the restaurant she is working at she knows there's going to be trouble. It would be even worse if they actually knew what she did in her spare time. She crosses paths with Ryan Rutledge at a family wedding where sparks fly. They both have a bit of a reputation but Salena is surprised to find that Ryan seems to be interested in her for more than just a night. Another interesting instalment from the D’Angelos' restaurant series, just in time for the holidays. I do like Catherine Bybee's writing style.
The Whole Time is the 4th in The D’Angelos series. It features Salena, a long-time friend of the family, and Ryan, the brother of Emma (from the third book)
It’s a dual POV story that shows Ryan and Salena trying to navigate from friends with benefits to attempting a real relationship. The road is a little rocky with some secrets that might ruin everything but it’s worth the read!
Thank you to @netgalley , Montlake and @catherinebybee for a chance to read this fun and sexy story

Salena Baron has finally broker free from her family. She has an apartment over the restaurant where she is manager and enjoying her freedom. When she needs money for a car and is short of cash, she decides to take on a side gig that earns her big bucks. Her friends begin to wonder where she is getting the money for a car. When she meets Ryan Rutledge there is an instant attraction. When their relationship begins to grow into something more Salena’s secret job could ruin her happily after.
Thanks to Catherine Bybee and Montlake for the book
Great book. Loved the characters and really enjoyed the story and how it unfolded. Would definitely recommend this book
I thought I would love this because I'm Italian American and I love Italian American characters. I didn't realize this was book 4 in a series until after I'd started reading it, though. I do believe this book can be read as a standalone, but there are a LOT of characters to track in the opening chapters (who I assume were from previous books in the series) and this made the story harder to follow. Because the writing is so direct and easy to read, I was able to follow the story well enough despite that. The story itself was a disappointment, though. It's so boring. The hero and heroine are instantly attracted to each other and going after each other right from the start, with nothing getting in the way of that. It just felt dull to me. I enjoy a bit more of a chase from one person to get the other person, and I want to see a conflict they need to resolve. I also thought this was meant to be a sweet romance--the cover art has that feel--but the characters were dropping F-bombs and talking about sex within the first few chapters. I don't mind that in a romance, if it's clearly that kind of story, but when you are expecting sweet, that's a turn-off.

Thank you to Netgalley for providing a free copy in exchange for my honest review.
The Whole Time is a wonderful read. I love the D'Angelos family so much. This is Selena's book. She is family friend and honorary sister who has a lot of spunk. She keeps you on your toes as she keeps who she is involved with at arms length. Ryan is amazing. If you have read to previous book then you know Ryan sister is involved with Giovanni D'Angelos. So this is the connection that brings Selena and Ryan together. He has this thing of wanting to help Selena out from the very beginning. There is this pull connection you cannot deny between Selena and Ryan. I love them together as they grow closer. Ryan works to bring Selena's walls down and manages to do so in little ways. I loved this one so much and could not get enough of Selena and Ryan. Go meet them today.

Thank you NetGalley and Publisher for my copy of The Whole Time by Catherine Bybee. I have not received any rewards or compensation for this review and therefore all views and opinions are of my own, the reviewer.
In summary: Salena is feisty, resourceful and knows what she wants in life. Ryan is a entrepreneur vying for Salena’s heart. A satisfying romance ticking all the boxes.
This is my first Catherine Bybee novel and I’m glad I got the privilege to read and review this book.
For me, the heroine stands out strong. Salena is well developed, well written giving the character a strong story arc. Ryan is a well built character also, I liked how he interacted and romanced with Salena it felt believable and well crafted.
The plots were great. Spread nice and even over the whole book which helped the plot move at a good pace.
Overall I enjoyed reading The Whole Time and look forward to reading more from the author.
This was a excellent ready by Catherine Bybee. You will want to continue reading to find out what happens next! She keeps you intrigued that you can't stop reading.
Selena and Ryan. Both are not as amenable to their parents rules as their siblings. They find in each other, what they haven't found in other relationships, and their interest in each other is immediate.
A fabulous book by Ms. Bybee. The characters are relatable. Writing about different and sometimes difficult family relationships is spot on. We've either been there, or know someone who has been! I devoured this book in one sitting, it's just that good!
This is the 4th book in the D'Angelo family series and can be read as a standalone. In my opinion though, it would be better to read all four books in order since there are references to the relationships of all the characters in this book. Plus, the series in complete and you'd have FOUR FABULOUS BOOKS to read!
I was gifted an ARC of this book by the publisher. The review is my own.
This is the fourth in a series. I have read two of the series before and really enjoyed them. This one did not appeal to me at all. I did appreciate that Salena was very independent. I like strong woman characters. I couldn't relate to her attitude about sex, men, or her parents. She seemed to have a chip on her shoulder and money was very important to her.
I know that this is a romance, so I do expect some steamy parts, but I felt like that was all Salena's and Ryan's relationship was about. I like a slow build of a relationship - this was not one of those.
Ryan and Salena.
Salena is so tired of her meddling parents and their beliefs that they pass on to everyone: you don’t need a job, you need to marry, you don’t leave home until you’re married, no staying or sleeping together until married, etc. etc. etc. So she is finally free now that she has a job and has moved out. And the last thing she wants is a relationship..have some fun? Sure!
Ryan is in town to help and watch his sister get married when bam! Salena pulls up. He doesn’t know anything about this girl except she is hot and looks like trouble. He could not be more right.
As Ryan and Salena’s paths keep crossing, it is obvious they have a connection. One date turns to two and so on and so on. Before you know it they are in a relationship. But everything is far from smooth sailing.
Another great story involving the D’Angelo clan. Parts of it tended to read slow and be a bit repetitive but overall it was a sweet, fun read.
I have love pretty much every book Catherine Bybee has written and I love this series. With this being the 4th book in this series and I feel like I was coming home for a visit, it wasn’t my favorite story, and you know what, that’s ok. The story itself was really well written and I really did love Selena and Ryan’s chemistry from the get go. The rest just not my cup of tea.
Thank you to NetGalley and Montlake for this ARC. ~I was given this book and made no commitments to leave my opinions, favorable or otherwise~
