One of my favorite reads this year. Ali Hazelwood never disappoints me, but her fantasy debut is made of my dreams. I loved the signature level of pining and angst and tension that was present, but also the plot devices that sped the relationship along a bit. I honestly don't have much to say because I have no critiques. I did absolutely love the motherly relationship between misery and Lowe's sister and I also was left wanting a sequel with the way the book ended. I hope Ali Hazelwood plans of expanding this universe in the future!

Misery is a character I've immediately loved. She is so grumpy and has a great dark humor! Also, she is beautiful and a computer genius (hacker). And a vampire, of course. But somehow she does not feel at home in the vampire nest, so she lives hidden in human territory. At first, it feels strange for her to live as another species in were territory. Lowe, her were husband, does his best to ignore her. But slowly, they are getting closer and closer...

I loved reading the fluffy story between Misery and Lowe. Especially in uncertain times like these, it feels good to read something cozy. Despite their different species and different times of staying awake, Lowe and Misery find a compromise. I liked the fact that Lowe as the Alpha is a digital analphabet while Misery is a genius hacker. In my opinion the mate-topic was a bit too much discussed.
Certainly, I will also read other books by Ali Hazelwood. Besides the story, I do like the book cover very much. It is dark and mysterious. Hazelwood has a wonderful style of writing, I always said "just one more chapter" when I wanted to go to sleep. A wonderful, spicy and cozy paranormal RomCom!

I LOVE Ali Hazelwood and was really excited to receive this arc, especially as she steps outside of her STEM romances. But this book was just okay for me. It was very quick, and very low stakes. Was it enjoyable? Yes. Did I laugh? Also yes. But everything was just so surface level that I just couldn't find myself connecting with any of the characters.

This one took me waaaaay too long to get into. I think it was finally at like 60% that I was finally grasped. But even then, just because I wanted to know what was going on and where Serena was.

The best part of the beginning was watching Ana and Misery’s “friendship” form, and how the six year old didn’t care about species differences and wormed her way into Misery’s lap, arms, bed, and heart any time she could.

This follows Misery, a vampire, who finds her way into a marriage of convenience with the Alpa of the Werewolves. One, her father is forcing her into it, but she also thinks her new husband might have some background on where her best friend has disappeared to, because his initials ended up on a torn piece of paper from her planner.

Now living in Were territory, where everyone hates her and what she is - she finds an unlikely alliance with her new husband’s little sister. Through the drama, fights, and many assassination attempts, it keeps you on your toes and trying to guess ahead and figure out who’s plotting what and who the bad guy is.

She's summoned by her to once again be used to keep the peace. This time, she will marry Lowe, Alpha Were of the region as an attempt to cease tensions between the species. The arranged marriage may not seem ideal but Misery has her own reasons for wanting to enter their territory.

Such a great book. The banter and tension between Misery and Lowe is amazing. The political aspects adds mystery and intrigue to the book. It's steamy and at times angsty. Loved it!!

I thought this was very good and I will have to add this to the shop shelves. Thank you for the chance for us to review.

I have always been fascinated with megaverse, so naturally, I wanted to read this book. Let's just say I learned some things during the steamy scenes.

The found-family will always be a favorite aspect in stories for me. And I'm hoping there's another book in this world soon.

I love Ali Hazelwood's STEM novels, and was a little nervous to pick up Bride, as I was worried that the departure from her normal setting, coupled with paranormal characters, would fall flat. Happy to report that she can still do no wrong in my eyes! A refreshingly new approach to vampires and werewolves with bits of science thrown in. Enjoyable read.

I read this months ago and am sadly just now getting around to posting my review. I adored it. Listened to the audiobook and it was fantastic. Truth be told, this was my first ever Ali Hazelwood and I don't hate her writing paranormal romance at all. Talk about CONFLICT! The girl had me hooked on this from the moment I started it.

Sometimes I feel like I sort of hate read Ali Hazelwood. I know The Love Hypothesis received so much hype and glowing reviews, but I found it too long and poorly written. I bring that up because I felt the same about Bride. Hazelwood has a way of just doing the same thing over and over. I was glad to see her step out of her typical backdrop for a story, but I didn't think the world building was well developed. Maybe because she has less experience writing a paranormal romance. I didn't really care for their leads and I definitely was not feeling the steamy scenes; if you know, you know. I'd still read another by her, but I hope it's better from here.

Ali Hazelwood's paranormal romance debut is an absolute show-stopper. Bride charmed me completely and I need a sequel for my favorite side character!

I love the love hypothesis, but this one was just not for me. I didn't care about the characters at all. I thought the knotting was a little much. I will still read everything she writes, but this just wasn't it for me. I have seen lots of great reviews, so I seem to be in the minority, which is great news! Try it for yourself.

This was a pretty middle of the road read for me. I liked a lot of it and thought the book itself was pretty funny, but overall it was really just okay. I listened to the audiobook and there was a lot of really good narration, but it felt like such a waste of Will Damron to provide only little snippets at the beginning of the chapters.

The sex scenes were good and seemed pretty realistic for werewolf anatomy. I think the chemistry between Misery and Lowe was good but not off the charts. They seemed like a perfect fit for one another (pun intended) but I just wasn't overly sold on their relationship. The romance felt a bit lacking for me.

I also would have liked a bit more emphasis on the paranormal elements and the mystery element to this novel. It felt like too much was packed into this that didn't give enough time to everything for a fully fleshed novel.

Overall, if you liked Ali Hazelwood's other novels, you'll enjoy this one! But if you've never read one, I'm not sure if this is the one to start at. It didn't make me extremely eager to read other books by her.

"**Bride**" by Ali Hazelwood is a captivating and charming read that perfectly blends humor with romance. Hazelwood’s engaging prose and delightful characters make this novel an irresistible and heartwarming escape.

This was my first Omegaverse read. I’m happy my introduction came with a comedic cast of characters and a rather interesting world of both vampires and werewolves. A time was certainly had!

I had a slow start to this one but damn if this omegaverse-lite enemies to lovers didn’t hit me in all the places Twilight carved out of me in the early 2000s.

Fun, solid world-building. The dirty talk in the last chapter is >> I was excited to read Ali Hazelwood doing a new genre for her and it lived up to my expectations.
