This is Cate Blanchett fan fic, and I mean that in the best way possible. I loved their story. I love the intensity. I love their love making scenes. Very good book for people who think about Carol a little too much.
This is my first read from Tiana Warner. I love a celebrity romance and this one was charming and the characters likable and easy to root for. Superstar Cate is filming a movie on Rachel's Vancouver street. Cate has long been Rachel's celebrity crush and she can't resist trying to meet the woman responsible for her sexual awakening. What are the chances Cate could be attracted to the younger, nerdy, "regular" woman, in the same way Rachel is attracted to her?
I smiled a lot while reading this book. It was easy and sometimes that's exactly what I need after reading a few heavy books. While I thought Cate and Rachel's relationship progressed a bit too quickly, it was still a fun read that I recommend. I will be looking forward to reading more from Tiana Warner in the future.

this is so cute. like, adorable. it's a very quick read; i think a little over 200 pages, if my app is correct. but it's a still a full story, well fleshed out, with lovable characters and the most perfectly unrealistic romance. because sometimes unrealistic romances are even better than realistic ones.
This was an easy summer read. The writing was engaging and the romantic storyline was well paced. The main character Rachel from whose POV the story was told was really endearing and relatable. Rachel and the other lead, Cate, had good chemistry, however, Cate turned into quite an unlikeable character in the last few chapters of the book after the main conflict took place. Having more insight into Cate’s point of view may have helped the reader to relate to Cate more. Although this was an enjoyable book, having just finished the author’s most recent work right after this, I can definitely see the growth in her as a writer.
Fun concept, executed well with some challenging bumps along the way.
I felt a little shortchanged that the relationship just happened rather than seeing and understanding the connection.
This is exactly my kind of book: wlw, age gap, Hollywood setting! Perfection, can a girl want more? The book is absolutely well written, the author is really good. This is the first book I read from Tiana Warner and I really want to read more. The writing is clever, the characters are full of live and I love them completely.

This is like a 3+ but rounded down.
This is a nice good fluffy trope-y romance read. If I didn't like these tropes (wlw, age-gap, Hollywood) I might not have finished it, but I do, so I did.
Some parts didn't seem that fleshed out but the main story works.
I was interested in the story, and intrigued by the audiobook sample and wanted to read the rest of the story.
Good audiobook narrators are able to elevate and characterize characters a bit more and while I read the ebook, I would be interested enough to listen to this as an audiobook,
This adorable age-gap, toaster oven, celebrity sapphic romance that hit all the right notes. The meet-cute was adorable, the back and forth will-they-or-won’t-they was tantalizing, the spice was delicious, and the grand gesture was unexpected and super fun. There’s also a moment of Schadenfreude that, while predictable, is just perfection.
If you’ve ever wished you could date your celebrity crush, this book is for you. Cate and Rachel complimented each other well as a couple, and I rooted for their love from the start.
Fair warning though: this book is hard to put down! I don’t recommend trying to read just a chapter or two before bed, or you may end up losing a night’s sleep binging it in a single sitting like I did.
On a side note, can someone please make the Marie Curie steampunk film Cate was staring in? Because I definitely want to watch it.
I received an advanced copy from the publisher and am voluntarily leaving this review.
Cate Whitney, the alluring A-lister, draws admiration from countless lesbians, including introverted medical physics student Rachel Janssen. Serendipity strikes as Cate films near Rachel's Vancouver apartment, sparking a starstruck encounter. Cate surprises Rachel by inviting her as a science consultant for her Marie Curie film. Yet, amidst scientific exchanges, hints of flirtation emerge. As their chemistry intensifies, Rachel grapples with the downsides of mingling with fame—incessant paparazzi blur her medical ambitions. A whirlwind of emotions ensues as their worlds collide, prompting Rachel to balance newfound affection with her professional goals.
I loved this story. It grabs you from the beginning to end. Hollywood sapphic romance is one of my favorite tropes and this did not disappoint. I recommend this book to anyone who likes glamor and glamor, mental health representation and toaster ovens.
Fun read! It’s the slightly cliche but fun trope of a celebrity falling for a “regular” person but this one adds in an age gap and a crazy ex husband. There are a lot of funny and crazy moments in this book that kept me wanting to read when I had other things to do, so it definitely kept my attention.
There are some plot points that seemed a bit far fetched, the age gap was never discussed in terms of press talking about it (which would seem like a given) and the ex husband got a bit one dimensional as the bad guy so I wouldn’t rate it 5 stars but still a fun read.
A nice age gap story, well written with loveable characters. I enjoyed reading this book during my holidays, it was an easy read, entertaining, funny at times. I would recommend it!
I absolutely loved ‘From Fan to Forever;’ this was one of my favorite recent romance reads and I’ll definitely be recommending it to my friends! The books itself was only 250 pages, so it flew by, but I still felt like the characters were well developed and we had enough information to be invested in the storyline.
Usually the celebrity- non celebrity trope can be hit or miss for me, as they can be a little too far-fetched, but this story struck the perfect note, where it gave us believable circumstances that I could see reading about in People. Rachel (the non-celebrity) was adorably awkward, star-struck, and unsure of her place in Cate’s glamorous life. We followed Rachel and Cate through first dates, run-ins with the paparazzi, nasty tabloid rumors, galas, and gain insight on a lot of what it might look like for an average city to date a celebrity.
Besides being a rather lighthearted romance book, there also was an underplot of anxiety, childhood bullying and trauma, and abusive exes. While these heavy topics were talked about and worked through, it still didn’t take away from the lightness of the book - it just made the characters feel more flushed out. This book also had a good amount of spice, but not so much that it overpowered the plot. My only complain with this book was that there was a huge age gap (almost 20 years?) that wasn’t addressed or discussed at all.
From Fan to Forever is a heartfelt age-gap romance about trauma healing with love.
Despite her love of science, Rachel is tired of being used as an experiment for other women. When her celebrity crush starts filming on location near her apartment, Rachel uses the opportunity to meet Cate.
I really loved the way childhood trauma was framed in this story and the way Rachel tackled her healing. I think the reconciliation seemed really rushed for the nature of their relationship. Overall, a solidly good read.
From Fan to Forever was a fun wish-fulfillment celebrity romance! It takes place in Canada, so imagine my suprise when I came across pannenkoeken and uitwaaien! :D That was a really fun detail for this Dutch reader, and I love when books include small things about other cultures or habits that you usually don't expect in the setting!
The meet-cute made me go a bit 'You really gonna do that?..... sure' but that's what suspense of disbelief is for, it's a romance novel, not a guide to life and good decisions :D
I absolutely still recommend this book to people looke for a sapphic romance with a nice dose of ' public eye' angst :D
Thank you Netgalley and Ylva publishing for providing me with this ARC!
I have to say, I really enjoyed this story. You do have to suspend your disbelief a bit, and the main 'villian's' language is a bit too on the nose, but overall the MC Rachel is funny and likeable and the relationship was very sweet. I also really liked Abby, she was a great side character.
Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for the arc in exchange for an honest review.
Sapphic celebrity age gap? Sign me up. I had really high hopes for this one but it didn’t quite live up. I’ll start with what I did enjoy—I loved the whole premise and it was a story that I was really excited for the whole time and it was super cute, I actually did like both of the MC’s, I just wanted to know them better they both had interesting backstories and jobs/future job, and I enjoyed that mental health and therapy was discussed and it wasn’t a book that assumed that a relationship would fix everything wrong in the world. I now for things I did not enjoy as much—although the main characters were likable enough they weren’t super developed and I had a hard time seeing them as real people, the story was full of angst and not in a way that felt necessary, and lastly the ending felt rushed and I wanted the pace to be just a little slower. Although I think there are definitely big areas of improvement, I would give this author another try, I might even revisit this one.

I really enjoyed this! The pacing was good and the characters were interesting. It was fun, fairly low stakes rom-com style. Definitely the type of book you can knock out in an afternoon, although I will say that it took me a couple of days because it didn’t quite grip me the way some books do, compelling me to finish it in one sitting. Other than that, an enjoyable read!
If you love the fantasy of a celebrity crush romance this is for you. Rachel Janssen is a working on her masters thesis for medical physics in Vancouver. On the street where she lives a movie is filming featuring Cate Whitney who is Rachel’s dream crush. Cate is 18 years older and after and is intrigued by Rachel’s forced meet cute. Honestly I never understood Cate’s initial attraction other than here is someone smart, young and out of the industry. I just decided to go with it as the story moves along.
It is just a summer fling or something more? Cate has issues mainly around her ex-husband using media to woo her back. But Rachel has her own issues about being in the spotlight. The age-gap is seemingly a non issue for anyone including parents. And Rachel’s roommate and friend Abby adds some humorous moments.
I read this feel good, uncomplicated story in an afternoon. It is entertaining but for me not overly memorable. Thank you to NetGalley and Ylva Publishing for the ARC and I am leaving a voluntary review.
DNF %10. For what I'm sure is a great story, I unfortunately cannot come to grips with fiction that is written in the first-person perspective. As a professional Aromantic reader who thrives on fictional romance while desiring absolutely none for myself, the use of "I" pronouns in the romance genre makes finishing some stories difficult for me and unfortunately, I was not able to complete this book. I will endeavor to do my due diligence in future to research titles for this aspect before settling down to read.
Thanks to Ylva publishing and Netgalley for this copy in exchange for my review.
A dare brings together Rachel and Cait in a meeting that probably wouldn't have happened in any other way. What follows is a whirlwind romance that is sweet, hot, and beset with issues of other people and their own personal drama.
I couldn't put this day, finishing it in almost one day. The entire time I was rooting for Rachel and Cait through everything, loving their friends who were equally supportive (we all need a friend like Abby), and cursing out the jerks that tried to butt into their relationship. They two do have a lot of emotional baggage, Cait still dealing with a divorce with a fellow A-list actor who doesn't like to lose, and Rachel is nursing a broken heart after being an experiment. The story portrays very well how much these kinds of issues can ruin things no matter how much you may not want it to, but sometimes what you really want out of life will give you the strength to overcome what you might think is impossible.
