DNF %10. For what I'm sure is a great story, I unfortunately cannot come to grips with fiction that is written in the first-person perspective. As a professional Aromantic reader who thrives on fictional romance while desiring absolutely none for myself, the use of "I" pronouns in the romance genre makes finishing some stories difficult for me and unfortunately, I was not able to complete this book. I will endeavor to do my due diligence in future to research titles for this aspect before settling down to read.

Thanks to Ylva publishing and Netgalley for this copy in exchange for my review.
A dare brings together Rachel and Cait in a meeting that probably wouldn't have happened in any other way. What follows is a whirlwind romance that is sweet, hot, and beset with issues of other people and their own personal drama.
I couldn't put this day, finishing it in almost one day. The entire time I was rooting for Rachel and Cait through everything, loving their friends who were equally supportive (we all need a friend like Abby), and cursing out the jerks that tried to butt into their relationship. They two do have a lot of emotional baggage, Cait still dealing with a divorce with a fellow A-list actor who doesn't like to lose, and Rachel is nursing a broken heart after being an experiment. The story portrays very well how much these kinds of issues can ruin things no matter how much you may not want it to, but sometimes what you really want out of life will give you the strength to overcome what you might think is impossible.

would like to thank netgalley and the publisher for letting me read this book

A typical celebrity romance. It was good but nothing exceptional stood out. It was an easy breezy read in a day.
4/5

Low stakes celebrity/age gap romance (3.5 stars)
I read this book in a day. It's a good low stakes escapist celebrity age gap romance at its core with some humor and at times intense drama. If you like the 'behind the scenes' look at a movie set and red carpet aspects of celebrity seen from an outsider's view you'll likely love this book. It took me a while to get into the story and then I was turning pages to see how main characters Cate and Rachel got together and navigated their relationship from there. Told from Rachel's point of view, we get more about her than Cate which is okay but so many scenes with Rachel and her hilarious roommate Abby have them literally screaming about things (like an original Beatles concertgoer). That overuse of the word 'screaming' was distracting and also made them seem very juvenile when Rachel is otherwise presenting herself as someone who unusually knows exactly what she wants in and from her life already, despite her youngish age. Rachel shows some immaturity with Cate as well; they both have flaws, baggage and issues that are realistic and contribute to the drama and misunderstandings but there is a certain amount of suspension of disbelief needed in some of their drama so you don't get pulled out of the flow of the story by asking questions. The ending was a bit cheesy as if made for TV but there were some plot twists I didn't see coming that I appreciated. This is my first time reading this author and I'd like to read more of their work in the future to see what other ideas are up their sleeve.

Oh I loved this, I adored Rachael & Cate this book had all the feels, Cate is Rachael’s teen crush the reason she knew she was gay so her filming outside her flat is just fate. Cate is a A list movie Star recently single after a messy divorce with trust issues. Their love story is so sweet they both just needed each other. I really enjoyed this book it had everything I love in a good romance good characters well written sweet love story bit of drama a little heart break and even a stolen cat it’s my first by Tiana Warner and can’t wait to check out her others.

I received an ARC from the publisher via NetGalley and am voluntarily posting a review. All opinions are my own.
Tiana Warner is an author I’ve wanted to read more from, since I tried her Valkyrie books, so I jumped at the chance to try From Fan to Forever when I saw a review copy for it was available. While different genre wise, it shows her versatility as a writer. This one in particular is tropey fun, being a sapphic age gap celebrity romance and the ultimate wish fulfillment for many of us. . Rachel is immediately relatable, being an introverted student who ends up running into her celebrity crush. Her happiness at her dreams coming true is tempered by her struggles adjusting to life in the spotlight. Cate as a love interest is equally compelling. She’s humble and normal, in spite of the fame that provides many complications for her.
This was a sweet romance, and I liked how there was a balance between the focus on the external factors, like the media scrutiny and the threat of Cate’s jealous ex, balanced with great internal tension. I also appreciated that the story didn’t dwell too much on the age gap, which beyond making sure that things are legally and ethically sound, can be a mood-killer for romances where there are no major imbalances of power.
This was a fun read, and I look forward to trying more from Tiana Warner in both fantasy and contemporary soon. I recommend this to readers looking for a lighthearted sapphic contemporary romance, especially if they enjoy celebrity and age gap romances.

A lovely feel good romance for writers that are fans of LGBTQ stories. I would definitely recommend this to interested teens, it is a sweet and captivating novel.
