I love that type one is represented. I sent a message to the author asking what made her add that, wondering if it was a personal connection, unfortunately I never heard back. Representation is important. I struggled with the chemistry with this one, but it’s a favorite of many, so I’m obviously in the minority here.

I wasn't sure I was gonna like this one. Bad boy golfer? How can golf be sexy? Man was I wrong to doubt Tessa Bailey. This was fantastic. Best Tessa Bailey book yet. Perfectly sweet, spicy, and hilarious. A must read.

LOVE!!! Tessa has let me down the last few books, but this one was top knotch and the reason I love Tessa Bailey!! Wells was grumpy, but sweet, and I love that Josephine was sunshine and rainbows but could also be sassy. These two were perfect and I loved them together so much!

I'm a Tessa Bailey girl and was really excited for this novel, but for me it just didn't hit the mark. I think because I'm really not a golf girl I couldn't find the same passion that Josephine and Wells had for the game. Tessa crafted great dynamic characters as usual, but for me I just didn't feel them click enough. Additionally I didn't really see a significant amount of growth for Josephine like I have in other characters in other novels. I wanted more from her and for her. I'd still recommend this book because the writing is great and steamy is that Tessa Bailey way.

First of all, I am very grateful for the chance to receive an ARC of Fangirl Down. Now for the review. I really wanted to love this book and have read Window Shopping by Tessa Bailey and enjoyed it. Fangirl Down just did not hold my attention. It could have been because I am not a golf fan or maybe the timing was just wrong but I did not finish this book. I really tried and was so excited to receive the ARC to read but it was not meant to be. I have no doubt that some will love the book, it just wasn't for me.

Thank you, Avon and Netgalley for an honest review

My Review- This was my first time reading a Tessa Bailey book and I am in love and can't wait to read more of her work and this series. You have Josephine who is a fan of a golfer named Wells and when he gives up on himself she kind of quits being his fan, one day something tragic happens to Josephine in her life Wells wants to help her so he goes back on tour and asks her to be his caddy. I love their relationship and how they care about one another by joking around or about their health or swing game, the spice was some of the best in a rom-com book for me. It had me laughing out loud or being sad or upset a parts in their story I can't wait to read the other book in the series.

Is there anything Tessa Bailey can’t write?! This sports romance was so much fun to read and featured the grumpiest golf pro hero and the most sunshiny number one fan heroine.

The initial chemistry between Josephine and Wells was just so yummy. There was so much lust and tension from the very beginning and I was loving it. I was giggling and kicking my feet as their love story progressed.

Our bad boy golfer, Wells. I just loved how he went from pushing everyone away before they got a chance to hurt him to falling so hard for Josephine that he worked on all his issues and she became the ONLY person he wanted to talk to and get along with. The glow up was so worth it.

Josephine was just a genuinely kind and sweet soul. There was so much depth to her. She runs a business, takes care of her parents, is living with type 1 diabetes and still giving it her all to help Wells get back in shape. I mean, come on.

As someone with a chronic illness, I adore seeing well written characters living with these different diseases and I think Tessa Bailey did that wonderfully. And I am really not a fan of golf at all but Tessa made it interesting to read about.

If you like sports romances, boss/employee, grumpy/sunshine, comeback stories, and juicy spice this may be the book for you!!

Thank you so much to Netgalley, Tessa Bailey, and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for an honest review!

This was good!!!
TB is very hit or miss for me, her sex scenes aren't usually my jam. But the rest of the story really made up for it! I liked the fmc a lot and liked how her story went!

"Fangirl Down" by Tessa Bailey is an absolute hole-in-one of a romance novel that will have you hooked from the very first page. Bailey, known for her steamy and heartfelt storytelling, delivers yet another winner with this charming tale of love, redemption, and the unexpected joys of second chances.

At the heart of the story are Wells Whitaker and Josephine Doyle, two characters whose chemistry leaps off the page. As Wells and Josephine embark on a journey to reignite his career, readers are treated to a rollercoaster ride of emotions, filled with laughter, tears, and plenty of steamy moments.

But beyond the romance, "Fangirl Down" also explores themes of self-discovery and personal growth. 🧐 my thoughts:
I get so excited every time Tessa Bailey comes out with a new book, which has been pretty often. We are spoiled 😅 Tessa was one of the authors that got me back into reading, so naturally I’m going to read everything she writes.

I was super excited for her to be coming out with a sports romance. I just got golf clubs for Christmas, so this was perfect!

A Special Thank You 🥰
A very special thank you to Tessa Bailey for the opportunity to read this ARC. Also, a thank you to Netgalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for granting me this ARC.

ALL THE STARS!!! Tessa Bailey did not disappoint with this one. I’ve always said It Happened One Summer was my favorite but this one just might take the top spot! I also started playing golf last year and that made the book even more enjoyable for me. Wells and Josephine were so easy to fall in love with! I love grumpy x sunshine and the fact that he falls first AND falls harder 😍 I lost count of how many times this book made me smile, laugh, and kick my feet! And the banter. Y’all the banter was SO good! I have so many lines that I highlighted on my kindle and I normally don’t stop long enough to do it. Fair warning this one is spicy if that’s not your thing!

Thank you so much to Tessa Bailey and Avon Books for my gifted ARC!

I have very mixed feelings about this book. I did not like it at first and had a tough time getting into the story, but ultimately enjoyed it overall - some parts more than others to be sure.

The first third of the book felt very rushed and contrived. I can suspend disbelief for a lot of ridiculous plot lines but the way he sought her out was wholly unbelievable and when combined with the weak (and forced) dialogue I just couldn't get into it. It felt like a parody of the saucy repartee I've come to expect from Tessa Bailey's characters.

Things picked up somewhere in the middle and the book became much more palatable but I never was fully immersed in the story or invested in the characters.

Spice rating: 4/5 - open door, repeated, explicit language, hope you like butt stuff

This book is supposed to be a romance between a golf player and his biggest fan but it’s actually a horror about the American healthcare industry which cheerfully lets people die if they can’t afford life-saving medication which was patented for $1 and is sold for astronomical amounts by people who profit off of malfunctioning pancreases. Get fucked, American healthcare. (The romance was fine, they have sex on a golf cart which sounds uncomfortable but they seemed to have fun.)

I’ll follow Tessa Bailey anywhere. Writing a sports romance about a golfer seemed so random but OMG it works. It was fun, the characters were relatable, and I genuinely enjoyed this story. Excited to read the next installment!

Tessa Bailey you have done it again!!! I literally will read anything TB writes. I have never read a golf sports romance before and was apprehensive going in, but it worked SO well! I loved how Wells was always supportive of Jospehine and the yearning was top tier (my fave) an easy five stars!

sorry but anything that Tessa Baily writes I will eat up and leave no crumbs. This book was everything and I remember when she first came up with this idea on tik tok, I was so excited. I have never read a romance book that was golf related but I loved every single thing about this book. Tessa Baily is an automatic buy author for me so I can not express how much I LOVEEEEE this book and her writing style. plus she also writes the best spicy scenes and this just the icing on top of the cake.
