“We don’t hide from each other.”

Wells used to be the best of the best on the golf course, but lately he's just the angry and prone to breaking his clubs. He has one fan left and no matter how badly he plays, Josephine is always there cheering him on. When he finally calls it quits and disappoints his one remaining fan he knows he has mad a mistake. He tracks her down and offers her a deal she can't turn down. He wants her to be his caddy and earn a cut of his winnings. As Josephine gets to know the real Wells and not just the celebrity golfer she's been watching for years, she's surprised to find that underneath the brooding and the barking, he's thoughtful and even sometimes sweet. But he's also technically her boss, so regardless of her attraction, she can't act on it...right?

This was fantastic!!! I'm pretty happy with most of Tessa Bailey's books, but this one is up there as one of my faves. I adored the way these two balanced each other out and their banter and bickering was honestly adorable. The way he went out of his way to make sure she was taken care of and how it was just something he needed to do was one of my favorite parts of this relationship. I also really appreciated getting to see him grow and have some realizations of his own. I feel like a lot of times romance novels focus more on the female growth, so this was a nice moment. I can't wait to read the next one in her sports series.

Official DNF at 42%. I really liked the premise of this book, and was really enjoying how it took place in Florida (my home state, and definitely land of golf courses lol). I also really loved the idea of a golf "bad boy" and really enjoyed that part of the set up. But, I put it back around halfway and after a few weeks now of picking it up for a few pages then giving up, I think I need to admit it is a final DNF. I think it was a bit too insta-love from the MMC for me. I really liked the FMC, I liked her voice and story, but I think even though large parts are from his POV I really didn't get enough of him to root for him yet, and I was almost halfway through the story. Also for petty complaints, I really hated the nickname 'Belle' for some reason. I do love certain Tessa Bailey books so I am going to keep trying with this author, but this one was a miss.

I never thought I could be into golf, but at this point I shouldn’t be surprised that Tessa can turn any subject or sport into a new obsession.

I absolutely DEVOURED this book in two three hour reading sessions. I started at 4am and finished by 11am. 😅 I’ve been in a terrible reading slump, so this is just a testament to how good this book is.

A bad boy golfer and his number one fan turned caddy, on the path to help her after a hurricane causes damage to her family golf shop and her medical issues.

The connection between Josephine and Wells felt that much more special and tender with how attentive he was with her Diabetes. I could feel how special this book was to the author, with the hopes that her own daughter would find a man like Wells one day to support her one day.

This has taken the top spot for my all time favorite Bailey books! Fix Her Up now in second place!

THANK YOU @avonbooks for fueling my Tessa Bailey obsession as always! ! I was also granted an ALC through Libro FM and I cannot wait to reread probably immediately. Especially with Callie Dalton as narrator!! 👏🏼😍

She also set up the next book perfectly and I cannot wait to read Tellulah and Burgess story. They already have some delicious tension!

I'll be honest, I was a little hesitant to pick this book up. I am *not* a golfer and I wasn't sure that I would love the book, but BOY was I wrong! I LOVED this book sooo dang much. The characters were both so loveable and complex, I loved that it was a perfect blend of light and funny while also tackling some more "heavy" topics like mental health and T1D. The characters banter is amazing and their true grumpy/sunshine personalities were well-written.

Overall, I really really enjoyed this novel and can't wait to read the Au Pair Affair this summer!

I've never read a golf romance before - it did not disappoint!! I loved this romance and seeing Type 1 diabetes in a main character was wonderful.

I'll devour anything Tessa Bailey writes and she never let's me down

Another great book by Tessa Bailey. If you've enjoyed her other books, you'll enjoy this one too. Although I know nothing about golf, it wasn't necessary to understand this book!

This book was super fun and lighthearted, I thought the main characters had a lot of tension and I liked seeing how they grew as people together. One thing I will say is I think the power dynamic could be a bit uncomfortable because the MMC had this big reputation and the main character would do anything for him.

OBSESSED. Easily my favorite Tessa book. I devoured it in a day, could not put it down. Wells was the perfect about of grumpy, but so soft and caring for his Bell. LOVED IT!

All I have to say is that I will be forever a Wells Belle!! Tessa hits it out of the park, or more like.... straight onto the green, with this one!

I. AM. OBSESSED.

WELL IS SO MEAN BUT IN THE BEST KIND OF WAY (I know I sound delulu but trust me) and JOSEPHINE IS ICONIC.

This is absolutely my new Tessa Bailey favorite and that’s saying a lot because this is a sports romance grumpy sunshine when those are two of my least favorite tropes. AND ALSO IM FUNDAMENTALLY AGAINST GOLF AS A SPORT SO TESSA WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO ME WITH THIS ROMANCE BECAUSE THIS IS PERFECTION.

I laughed out loud, I felt so much and I couldn’t get enough of how not toxic this relationship was. PICK THIS UP AND READ IT ASAP. DELICIOUSLY SPICY.

Tessa Bailey has performed a miracle. SHE MADE GOLF INTERESTING... and sexy as hell.

We all know Ms.Bailey can deliver steamy bedroom scenes without breaking a sweat, but making me care about the actual rules, regulations, and strategies of the most boring game alive is truly a feat. I loved Wells and Josephine's care for each other. They are each others' fangirls until the end! Wells being an actual simp for Josephine taking care of her at any turn, ends me. His literal obsession with her is the perfect amount and now I'm obsessed with Wells. I'm a sucker for sports romance so I can't wait to read the rest of the series.

Thank you to NetGalley for an eARC to review.

I honestly can't say I ever thought I'd enjoy a golf romance, but here I am!

"Fangirl Down" is quintessential Tessa Bailey -- hilarious, steamy, swoonworthy and so unique. Looking forward to the next in this series!

4.5 ⭐️! I wanted to give this a 5 star so bad but the nonexistent problem solving skills really got me in the end.

OTHERWISE nothing but good things to say! Give me more golf romance (I grew up playing golf with my dad so it's a rare sport I actually understand and like)! I do think the following books are different sports but it's okay.

I liked the power dynamic of Josephine starting as a fan but Wells appreciating her as someone who would stick by him in his worst of times. Steamy and sweet! Probably need to find the baby blue dress of the summer now.

As always so grateful for my Tessa Bailey ARC's through Netgalley, keep them coming xoxoxox!

Fangirl Down was a laugh out loud, hootin’ and hollerin’, sweating good time!! I was hesitant when I read it was about a bad boy golfer, but tbh I related to Wells a lot (read: perfectionist). Also Josephine is too good for this world. I would give her everything I have, would donate all my money to cure her T1D. I loved how Wells was so dumb that it took him forever to realize he loooooved Josephine. Lil dum dum Wells hehehe 💚 Anywho this one was SPICY like hot DAMN was I sweating. Like I know @tessabaileyisanauthor writes some hot af smut but WOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! But yeah loved my lil HEA and nerdy golf couple.

I thoroughly enjoy Tessa Bailey's stories. They are cute and fun and give me plenty of feels. Fangirl Down was no exception. Wells and Josephine were super cute together and while they fell hard and fast it also felt believable. You don't need to enjoy or know anything about golf to enjoy Fangirl Down. Bailey did a nice job of weaving in golf things without overwhelming the reader.

This is a matter of personal taste, my one issue with Tessa Bailey's books is the sexytimes tend to be a little on the long side for me. I'm more of a plot with a side of sexytimes girl, but her stories and characters are so fantastic that it's worth the extra sexytimes.

Kind of can’t believe I read and finished a book set against a golf tournament but here we are. Only Tessa Bailey could have us sweating over a golfer and she delivered with Wells.

Josephine was sweet, if a little bland, but I thought the T1D rep was great and always love to see a FMC at the top of her field. (Is that a pun? I don’t know enough about golf courses to know…)

I didn’t love the last few releases and was worried she had lost her touch but she’s back in all her spicy glory with this one.

Such a perfect Tessa Bailey book - the only human who could make me enjoy a golf romance without needing a drink first! I felt there were some moments where the characters fell a little flat but overall it was such a good book.
