I’m annoyed by how much I loved this book. The premise is silly: super hot shirtless ghost man “haunts” our FMC and while she puts up a fight at first, quickly falls in love with him. Some things were truly unbelievable: that a very inexperienced woman would agree to sexy times with a ghost is the main one. The second is her mutism around men but NOT seeing any sort of therapist? In NYC?!

That said, once belief was suspended this was so fun. Their relationship, while fast, was cute and sweet. The reveal about how he came to be a ghost and how he found her was actually pretty interesting. I really didn’t like the whole “light stalking” vibe that was being given off in the second half, and the progression of their relationship IRL was also crazy fast. BUT having said all that, I finished with a giant smile on my face and flutters in my heart, which is all I really need.

The narrator was wonderful, great cadence and voice characterizations. Loved the male narrator at the end for the “bonus” meet cute as well!

This book had some strong Just Like Heaven vibes, which is one of my absolute favorite movies. I’ve probably watched it about a million times. To be honest, I prefer this book more! Most of the time a romance book follows the pattern of having either a meet cute or how they know one another followed by them eventually falling in love, then some sort of wrench gets thrown in to shake things up a bit, concluding with the ever so popular “happily ever after” ending. I don’t think I’ve ever read a book in which all of that happens, but the proverbial wrench that was thrown results in a do over, but only for one of the characters, as the other remembers absolutely nothing about the relationship between the two. This adds an innovative twist, bringing the story to a new level. I’ve read a few other books by Sarah Ready, one of the more recent ones being French Holiday, and I really like the style of her writing. She does an amazing job keeping her audience engaged. This would be a perfect beach read or my preferred “rainy day with a hot beverage while wrapped up in a fluffy blanket” setting. I was gifted the audiobook version which added even more to the whole experience. The narrators Sarah Naughton (who did the majority of the narrating) and Rob Brinkman did a remarkable job bringing the characters to life. It’s always a hit or miss with narrator’s, but these two did a wonderful job portraying the emotions and spirit of the characters. They definitely kept my attention and gave life to the story. If you enjoy romantic comedies with a slight paranormal twist, this is one that I recommend you pick up.

Jillian is a dating and relationship columnist with the regrettable habit of being unable to hold complete conversations with men. She is making the move to NYC and the first night in her new apartment she is shocked to find a sexy shirtless man appear out of nowhere and then disappear. When he shows up again she quickly realizes he is a ghost. Daniel teams up with Jillian to find a way to help him move on and to help her regain her confidence in writing and in dealing with men. Along the way sparks fly and Jillian begins wondering if she is falling in love with a dead man.

I really enjoyed this paranormal romance. I would give it 3.5 stars out of 5. There were a few too many twists for me and felt like it the ending was being wrapped up for convenience more than plot reasons. I absolutely loved the characters though. They had such a cute friendship filled with banter in the beginning of the book and were so hot when it turned to love. I listened to the audiobook and loved the narrators.

The narration for this book was great. The narrator did different voices for characters and did them very well.

I’ve read a lot is time travel/time slip romances so perhaps my expectations were too high. But I felt like a lot of things were left unexplained in this book. I liked the romance between Daniel and Jillian better when he was a ghost. 🤣 I liked this book, but I think overall it fell sorta flat for me.

Sometimes you need a diverting, romantic and easy to read book. (Or listen to in my case.) Ghosted was that for me.
The main characters were likeable and easy to invest in. I liked how their vulnerabilities were revealed and felt difficult the more difficult issues were dealt with sensitively.
I don’t normally read paranormal romance novels, but I enjoyed this one and was able to suspend my disbelief and go with the flow.
If you are not sure about the genre, this would be a good book to start with.
The book was well narrated if you prefer an audio book. I listened to it while gardening and my elderly neighbour told me she rather enjoyed the more explicit bits! I did too. They were well written and there was just the right amount of detail.
I liked it!

Sarah Ready is fast becoming my go-to for Contemporary Romance! She's always coming up with unique and new ideas for her stories.

This is another great one on Audio. Jillian moves into a new apartment and it seems to be occupied by a ghost. A very Sexy and cute guy by the name of Daniel. She soon begins to interact with him and it looks like they are both falling head over heels in love. Then poof he's gone one day and Jillian is left dumbfounded and devastated. Where did he go? Was there ever a chance for them? Was he even real? Jillian has to learn how to go on without Daniel. Until one day she gets the shock of her life and sees him once again!!

This is entertaining and has all the feels. Sarah Ready has another hit on her hands with this one!

Sarah always gives her readers fantastic and unique stories filled with amazing characters, passion, many emotions and love.

This book is amazing. So many twists and turns but this is a true love story.

Jillian is a bit quirky, has amazing friends and is trying her best at work….but she needs help. She is painfully shy with men and her sister has set her up on so many dates that have not gone very well. Lol

Daniel is such an interesting character that we get to see in a couple of different ways…dead and alive. As he meets Jillian he realizes how much he needs her and she knows how much she needs him.

I listened to the audiobook…it’s a long one. But I loved every single word. The narrators deliver an amazing performance. They gave the characters perfect emotion, personality and voice.

Ghosted had me smiling from ear to ear as well as sobbing like a baby. It was funny, comfortable, charming and heartbreaking (in the best way).

I cannot even begging to describe how incredible this books is. At one point I was laughing and the next I was yelling at the book like a lunatic trying to make the characters open their eyes! The emotional rollercoaster that you feel while reading this novel is exactly what I look for when deciding if it’s a book I would recommend to others.

The narrator was clear, and enjoyable to listen to.

Rom-com, chick lit, fiction romance is how I would categorize it. The cover is appealing to the eye and depicts the novel well.

This book makes me believe love is infinite.

When I first read the description I got strong :"Just Like Heaven" Feels with Reese Witherspoon and Mark Ruffalo. That movie is 18 years old so I don't remember exactly the entire plot.

It took me a little to get into the book but once Daniel Started helping Jillian with her dating I couldn't put the book down. The whole falling in love with a ghost thing had me rolling my eyes. Somewhere around half-way I seemed to be rooting for these two.

Without giving away too much, I can't believe how everything came full circle, I didn't see it coming. I was a little disappointed with the ending. It honestly made me roll my eyes. I guess a HEA is just too easy for me. However it was still a good book.

'Just Like Heaven' with a dash of 'One Last Stop.'

Jillian Nejat has a problem talking with men. At least men between the ages of 20-80, who are even slightly attractive, and are interested in women. Unless, of course, they are dead. Because apparently she has absolutely no problem dealing with the (shirtless, sexy) ghost that is suddenly haunting her.

Daniel doesn't know who he is, where he's from, or what happened to him–only that he and Jillian are friends. Knowing that there must be a reason he is still on this mortal plane, he takes it upon himself to fix Jillian's problems: her relationship advice column that is failing, and her pathetically awkward love life. But what happens when the guy Jillian has been looking for is right in front of her, and they can't even touch?

This book is funny, smart, and sweet. The random mismatch of characters looks like it wouldn't work together, but absolutely does. The random plotlines weave together better than they should, and while the love story part is obvious, the "how" is not, letting you fall into the story as it unfolds.

I will say that for a book that censors swear words and insists on only using the phrase "make love," it's steamier than one would expect. Impressive.

I recommend this book to anyone who loves contemporary romance, stories about women falling in love with ghosts (its a good trope, okay?!), or Trekkers.

I really enjoyed the authors previous book French Holiday so was really looking forward to this one. The story was well written and had you invested right from the start. Kept a good pace and was an interesting angle to use. Jillian’s and Daniel’s story was funny, moving and heartwarming. Two well written characters with good chemistry and banter.

I had the audiobook which was easy to listen to and well narrated. Recommended

I enjoyed the premise of the story and was invested immediately. I haven't read many stories like this so I was surprised by how interested I was. It was funny, heartwarming, and touching. Jillian and Daniel's banter and chemistry were fun to read and I loved the overall message of love bringing them together. My biggest critiques for the book have to do with editing and pacing. It felt long-winded at times and rushed in some parts then slow in others. I skimmed descriptive parts more than usual just so I could get to the action, but once there, I was pulled in. There's a lot of suspension of disbelief that needs to happen to really buy into the story, but I was willing to do that to know what happened. While it could've been refined, I still thoroughly enjoyed this book and am interested in reading the author's other books. It was unique to my usual reads and I enjoyed its quirkiness.

Definitely an interesting read/listen. This felt like a nice mild palate cleanser. I didn’t like how the main character was painfully shy and also a dating/relationship expert, but I had fun reading this book regardless. :)

At first I felt like the book was a little cringe, however, I still couldn't put it down. At one point I decided I didn't like it but then the twists came and it was not at all what I expected. This book is definitely in my top 5 this year. It is litterally an emotional rollercoaster. I cried, smiled, got frustrated. This is a friends to lovers trope but is so much more than that. If you start reading and feel the same way I did then stick with it because I promise its worth it. It also shows how much the start of the book was needed. I would 100% recommend.

At times, I felt it was all too much. And yet…sometimes it worked.
The big grand romantic moments seemed entirely too rushed - would’ve enjoyed more direct descriptive buildup to the work place romance.
Perhaps I wasn’t in the mood for a paranormal romance - more of Serena & Jillian’s friendship is what I craved!
Will I recommend this far & wide? Not likely.
Will I read another Sarah Ready novel? Most likely.

Modern take on the 1990 Ghost movie with Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze in ways but also not.

I love the characters and their immediate chemistry. Hit all the marks: funny, sweet, spicy, suspenseful, mysterious, romantic. It is really well written and the level of description was on point. The more sensual or important details were in full. I love the character growth as Jillian figures out who she is and gains confidence.

The Star Trek references made my nerd heart smile.

I felt the office scenes in chapter 25 were too long. I was getting impatient to get into the investigation of what happened to Daniel or helping him move on.

Midway through while Daniel was gone, I was getting disappointed because I wanted more falling in love moments, figuring out more of his past, or finding a way for them to be together. But then half way through I was softly hit with the plot twist. It was still a little slow though.

Overall I really enjoyed this book! This was my first novel by this author and I truly loved it! I think the writing was good, the characters were interesting. There were deeper themes placed in this book and I hadn’t really expected it. I really enjoyed seeing Jillian and her best friends relationship. It was very heartwarming how much they were there for each other. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a good contemporary romance.

Sarah Ready's books are always engaging, well-written and with great characters, and Ghosted was no exception. This was my first paranormal romance that I have read in a while, but the premise held up with a little suspension of disbelief to just enjoy the story.

While the MFC Jillian Nejat was not my favorite, Ready does a good job shaping her character, and I liked the MMC Daniel Avery. My absolute favorite though were all of the side characters. They were so fun! I was as invested in them as I was the main characters.

I wanted to give this book five stars because it was good, and I really enjoyed it. However, it was way too long. I listened to the audiobook, and it could have been a good three hours shorter.

Narration by Sarah Naughton and Rob Brinkman was "chef's kiss."

Overall, it wasn't terrible. I reviewed another Sarah Ready book and quite liked it, but this one seemed too long. I kept wanting it to get to the point.

That being said, I would read other books by Sarah Ready, this just wasn't necessarily for me.
