A cute, quirky Romance with funny moments throughout - characters are very likable — the audiobook narrator is quite good - I enjoyed the main female characters development - I loved that she is a Star Trek fan and loves syfy — it has a similar feel to the movies **ghost** / **Just like heaven **but it holds its own as it has its own unique feel as well. This was definitely my kind of Romance. Full of syfy / serendipity romance — I became very invested in these characters — I was cheering for them the whole way through — I am glad I tried a second book by this author ! Highly recommend it ! Thank you to Netgalley for the ARC.

I’m quickly becoming a huge Sarah Ready fan!! This story was written beautifully. I laughed, my heart ached, I swooned. I loved the ghost aspect and was so curious about how it was going to play out. It definitely wasn’t what I was expecting!! I felt like the first part of the book was super detailed and a little drawn out. Then the second part seemed a little rushed to finish out the story. The descriptions of everything were so detailed, at times too much. I really liked this book, but it was so long! I do think it could have been shortened some. The narrator was great!

This book was so cute! I loved the l love story. I felt like I would've given it 5 stars if it was not for the ghost aspect but overall a great romance ! I liked the narrator!

After loving the Space Between, I had really high hopes for this one, but unfortunately it really fell flat for me. I felt Like it could have been 35% shorter and probably more tolerable, but it kept going and going and going. I started disliking the female MC as more time passed and was waiting for this one to be over. Not my cup of tea but I appreciate the opportunity to review the audio version early.

Oh, my goodness! Sarah Ready has done it again! I've gotta say, I've read quite a few books by her, and she never disappoints. The French Holiday and The Space Between were two of my favorite reads so far this year. When I saw an ALC of her latest novel Ghosted was available, I knew I had to request it. I am happy that I did! It was a phenomenal story. It absolutely exceeded my expectations and then some. It really stole my heart. The storyline had me on the edge of my seat the whole way through - I never knew what was coming next! It's a magically beautiful paranormal romance full of deep emotion. This story is about self-forgiveness, facing the past, overcoming insecurities, and finding true love. This romance novel was full of all the things I love. It was an emotional rollercoaster that had me feeling all the feels. I laughed, cried, and might have fallen slightly in love with Daniel. He is totally swoon-worthy, and the romantic scenes between him and Jillian are pure perfection. Their love was palpable, and it made my heart flutter! Ghosted is a delightful, one-of-a-kind book that will captivate you from start to finish. I loved that this one kept me guessing right up to the end! It's a heartwarming romance that will make you feel warm and fuzzy.

I absolutely loved the audiobook! The narration was superb. Sarah Naughton and Rob Brinkman skillfully captured the essence of the characters and breathed life into the story. Overall, it was a fantastic listening experience! I definitely recommend reading or listening to this one!

Sarah Ready - Ghosted

Audio Review.

Wow wow wow… what a book!

Jillian has just moved into a new apartment. It’s a bit rough and ready. And the previous tenants seem to have had something of a fetish for mirrors, but Jillian is determined to make it home.
What Jillian didn’t plan for, is sharing her new abode with Daniel. He only ever wears jeans and a six-pack and is completely drop dead gorgeous, with the emphasis being on dead… he’s a ghost!

Once Jillian is over the shock, the pair form an unconventional friendship.
Jillian wants to help Dan move on from where he seems trapped in his journey through the afterlife. And Dan wants to help Jillian to conquer her past trauma and to find someone to fall in love with.

What a journey these two go on.
All is not what it seems, but how can you build a future when you have fallen in love with a ghost?

I’ve read a number of Sarah Ready’s books and in all honesty, her writing just gets better and better.
I completely fell in love with this story. I was blown away by all the twists and turns and I couldn’t even begin to guess where the story was heading.

#Ghosted is a unique and quirky read. An engaging page turner, with a big heart and a pulse racing love story that will turn you to mush.

A gorgeous read.

Audio perfectly narrated by Sarah Naughton and Rob Brinkman.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

With thanks to Netgalley and W W Crown for an audio arc of this title.

I am in love with the way Sarah writes her novels. She keeps the readers wanting to read more and it is way more than just sex, steam and tension. I love a good spicy moment do not get me wrong, but I am personally so involved with the characters and the story line that I wanted more. There was also a connecting piece to the space between us which was not something you may have known had I not just read it this month! Both books take place in New York City. I would love to see or know what timeline these books fall and a maybe see if her other books are this way as well!

This story is about saving each other from a definite end and helping the other find true love. You almost get two love stories in one book and just when you think it may be over and there isn't a happy ending, she fools you and warms your heart. Sarah creates such amazing character back stories and keeps the character development growing throughout the book.

When picking up the title I was unsure what to expect but this weird Halloween Syfy story really had me going and I would suggest Sarah's books to anyone. Another 5/5 read for me ;)

DNF at 20%

I was really excited about the premise, but the insta-love, immediate jealousy, needy FMC, and forgettable side characters were too much for me to push through. The writing felt clunky, and while I always try to make it to at least 50% before I DNF a book, I found myself rolling my eyes and looking for an excuse to put the book down within the first 10%.

This has to be Sarah Ready’s masterpiece! What a PHENOMENAL book!!!!! I loved it from the start and kept me wondering what would happen next with the characters. My heart melted, got destroyed, got melted again, destroyed and then everything started again!

Ghosted is the story of Jillian and Daniel. Jillian is a journalist that has a love column in an online magazine and Daniel is… a Ghost. Daniel says he has met Jillian in the past, she doesn’t know when or where, but he knows they are friends and that he is in love with her.

Jillian falls in love with Daniel and one night he disappears and she thinks he moved on until one day she sees him on The Met museum and he is not only not a ghost anymore but also doesn’t remember Jill.

I didn’t want this book to end! It is not your typical romantic story, until it is (believe me when I say that this will make sense once you read the book!) I would give this book a million starts but I am only aloud to give 5!

Thank you Netgalley and W. W. Crown for the ALC in exchange of my honest opinion.

Ghosted by Sarah Ready was the unexpected emotional and funny story that I needed to break me out of my audiobook slump. It was narrated by Sarah Naughton and Rob Brinkman who were both absolutely phenomenal in telling the story.

Jillian writes a relationship advice column - yet she struggles with relationships and speaking to men herself. Until she meets Daniel, a ghost who seems to know her and is convinced that he is haunting her because he’s meant to help her. The two fall in love until one day he disappears and she doesn’t expect to find him again, even fall in love again. Until the unexpected happens…

I adored everything about Ghosted - the story, the characters. It was witty and heart-wrenching, had amazing character growth (and not just the main character but also the unforgettable side characters)

This is definitely a book that I want to experience again as a regular read because I loved the audio sooo much.

Huge thank you to NetGalley and W. W. Crown for the ALC in exchange for my honest review.

This was a fun paranormal romance story. It reminded me of the movie Just Like Heaven, starring Reese Witherspoon. It shared a lot of similarities but the surprising twists made this story stand out. I really loved our main character's geekiness. My only criticism is that I thought this book was far too long. It could have been shortened. Nonetheless I still enjoyed this book. It was a fun read. 3.5⭐

I received an audiobook version of this through NetGalley in return for a review. I believe I will be buying a hard copy when it is released though.
The beginning was weird, and there was quite a bit of eye rolling. I like when an author jumps right into the story! There was never a dull moment! I feel like this could have easily been broken into 2 books. The length of the audio was a bit daunting, but it wasn't bad, obviously I finished it in a couple days!
There were some well written steamy scenes, not cheesy at all.
I could have done without The alternate universe epilogue at the end.
Over all I feel like it was all written and interesting.

If you would have told me that I would not only read, but actually enjoy, a supernatural love story I would have laughed. But leave it to Sarah Ready to write a ghost romance that kept me engaged and captivated and gave me all the feels. I laughed and I cried. The narrators did an amazing job, drawing me in and making me feel all the emotions as the story evolved. However, the reason I'm not giving this a full 5 stars is because I felt like the ending dragged on forever. I would have been happy had the book ended way before it did. But this is most definitely another Sarah Ready win in my book. Thank you to NetGalley, W. W. Crown, and the author for an ALC in exchange for my honest opinion.

4.5 stars. I devoured this story!
My favorite Sarah Ready book to date!

I’ve read a couple books that felt this way lately (ghost romance) but the way this one played out and resolved was so unique.

The cast of characters were hilarious.
There were perfect moments of levity.
There was yearning and pining.
There was heartfelt chemistry and connection.
The NYC setting was dreamy dnd has me aching to visit.
And the food! I need a bacon burger and some pastries asap 🤣

Great audiobook. The bonus epilogue 🥹🥹🥹

Thank you to netgalley for the advance reader and listener copies.

Ghosted is like a nerdier gender-swapped version of the film Just Like Heaven but with much of the charm drained from it. Unfortunately, I felt it didn’t add anything to that genre and just felt meh while reading it. Had it been considerably shorter with a snappier pace, I might have been more entertained while reading.

Thank you, NetGalley, for this advanced copy.

I loved this book! The characters were perfect, the banter, the story took turns and twists. This was not your normal formula read. It felt fresh and unique. The sci-fi references made me so happy! I will pretend that the second epilogue doesn’t exist tho because it left me with the kind of questions akin to a scratch on my brain that can not be itches. Def adding this authors backlist to my tbr!

I highly recommend the audiobook, makes the characters jump off the page!

Can’t leave a review on Amazon yet since it’s not released email me a reminder and I will get that done on release day - listed my Amazon profile

I’ve given five stars to Sarah Ready’s previous two books from this year (French Holiday April 2023 & The Space Between July 2023) and was surprised at another novel so soon. When Ghosted was available freely in ARC and audiobook form on NetGalley I took both alternating between the two.

Jillian Nejat writes advice for love and dating for an online magazine in NYC. She moves into a near work, very cheap, studio apartment even though it has sleazy mirrors on every wall. She quickly learns that she isn’t alone. Daniel is seemingly a ghost and appears shirtless to her in her apartment. He doesn’t remember much other than he knows her. He decides he needs to accomplish something so he can move on. Jillian’s love life is non existent and her career is sinking. So he needs to help her attract men and to spice up her online writing advice.

This is such a fun paranormal romance. Jillian is a Star Trek geek and struggles talking to men. Almost so much so it seems impossible her godmother has already set her up on over 150 dates. Daniel becomes her friend, confidant and the guy she can open up to. She is a little afraid that if he is successful he really will leave.

Ready writes longer than the norm books. Her last was 540 pages and I loved the extra time with the characters. But with this one I struggled with the length. I felt I read, listened and read some more and still was only in the middle of the story. I could have easily trimmed over 100 pages and still had a very good story. The antics of co-workers adds some humor to the book. I felt unrealistic that the moment the L word is mentioned in more than one case a marriage proposal follows. I am recommend this book especially if you enjoy paranormal romances. I just didn’t click with this book as much as her previous stories. I did enjoy the narration by Sarah Naughton and Rob Brinkman. And I will be watching for the next book by the author.

Thank you to NetGalley and W.W. Crown for the ARC and audiobook and I am leaving a voluntary review.

What a wild ride. I fell asleep thinking about this book and then woke up thinking about this book.

First off, I was sucked into the story from the very beginning. I have never read a book like this (even though I feel like ghost romances are a thing right now?). This book made me cringe hard. But it also made me laugh out loud, smile and fall in love with the endearing and quirky characters. In fact, I think the cast of characters were my favorite part. Among the many things I really enjoyed in this book. There are so many things I feel like I could write in this review, but for the sake of time I’ll keep it much shorter then all of the things going through my mind. Throughout the book, I felt like I had one foot rooted firmly in the “this is so far-fetched” and another foot rooted in the “okay, I could see this if I was open minded”.

I struggled with how the main characters inability to socialize and being very closed off, specifically and especially to men. But because I couldn’t stop thinking about this book while I was listening to it, I came to the conclusion that the event that caused her to digress into that state also made her stop connecting with new people in her life totally. Yes, she couldn’t talk to men but she didn’t create any new meaningful connections with women either until she worked through things. The people in her life that she was close to were from before. I do feel like she matured overnight. It didn’t feel as gradual as I would have liked, so there was a little disconnect for me there.

Is this book sometimes far fetched and unbelievable? Yes. But was it entertaining and had me intrigued until the very end? Also yes. The second epilogue was a symbolic red bow.

If you love time-space timelines (or love to hate them like me) and unconventional fictional stories I would recommend this. Also, I love a good throw back to an author’s other books!

Title: Ghosted
Author: Sarah Ready
Narrators: Sarah Naughton and Rob Brinkman
Publisher: W.W. Crown ~ Member of the ‘Independent Book Publishers Association’ (IBPA)
Genre: Romance, Women’s Fiction
Pub Date: September 26, 2023
My Rating: 3.4 Stars

Jillian Nejat worked as a journalist and writes an advice column as the ‘dating and relationship expert’. However, she is so shy with men; she cannot speak to them. Actually is on a ten year slump with dating. Needless say, most question how she is an expert on relationships and her column is not doing all that well with getting new readers to buy the paper.
Her bank account as near zero so she it out looking for a less expensive apartment. She finds one closer to work, larger than her current apartment, less expensive and has wood floors!!! Jillian signs the least ~ ‘sight unseen’ Turns out the apartment does indeed have wood floors but also has mirrors everywhere ~ yes on the ceilings, walls to wall etc. It had been a ‘sex den’ and comes with a hot ghost. At first she doesn’t believe what she sees and tries to get rid of him but soon strikes up a friendship as it is going to help her with her column as well as her love life.
Thus the story begins!

Although I am not a big romance fan, this is my fifth Sarah Ready novel.
My most recent and favorite was "The Space Between" ~I just loved it!! My first reads were the fun Josh and Gemma stories; additionally read "French Holiday" which was also an enjoyable read.
SO YES! I do love Sarah Ready’s stories; and I had faith that this was going to be a fun read similar to the Josh and Gemma.
At first I was totally hooked. As mentioned I am not a big romance fan; but I like that romance stories give hope. I am not particular interesting in details about the characters sex lives. However, I knew Ms. Ready would pull me back into a great story.
I am a big psychological thriller fan and expect twists and turns so the twists in this were a total surprise.

Narrators did a good job performing the characters.

Want to thank NetGalley and W.W. Crown - Member of the ‘Independent Book Publishers Association’ (IBPA) for granted me this early audiobook.
Publishing Release Date scheduled for September 26, 2023.
