Honestly this one was not it for me. I was intrigued by the premise this paranormal romance didn’t live up to my expectations.

First things first, I hate insta love so that wasn’t a great start. I powered through because my toxic trait is that I can’t dnf books but god I need to learn how. Jillian went from mildly annoying to absolutely infuriating. The second half of the book where we are romanticising stalker vibes is gross. This book is also way too long, a good third can be cut out and you won’t miss a thing. Overall I’m not a fan.

Great read! Sarah Ready does romance that is not normal, each book is very different.

I am officially a Sarah Ready fan. This is her fourth book that I have read and I plan to read all of them as they are published. I do not normally read romance books but hers are funny, fun and different.

The premise of this book was really, really interesting. There were times I had no idea where this story was going. The characters were really fun to get to know. This one did drag a little which the other books did not. I would explain but I would ruin the book for those that have not read it.

I listened to the audiobook and the narrator did a great job.

Ghosted by Sarah Ready is a romance with a supernatural twist. The ghost story twist on a traditional contemporary romance was cute and reminded me of the movie Ghost. The romance was sexy but not over the top and both Jillian and Daniel are loveable characters with tons of chemistry. The narrator did an amazing job of bringing the characters to life. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and I thought the pacing and plot were perfect!

This is only my second read by Sarah Ready and boy I cannot wait to read more! This was so emotional, unexpected, and just so so good. The ghost story was an awesome surprise and the delivery was amazing. Sarah does not disappoint. This one is 5 stars from me, audio was fantastic, highly recommend. Ghosted is a whole new take on the ghost romance in Ghosted. How can you not want to pick up a story about a half naked ghost romance? Was he a porn-star? Was he a gigolo? What is he doing half-naked here? These are the questions that Jillian is asking when she finds a friendly, six-pack heartthrob ghosting around her new apartment. Her life is a wreck, so why not add a ghost into the mix?

The premise for this book is so amazing. There is wonderful social anxiety representation and it is a deeply emotional story about healing, trauma, personal growth and, yes, romance. I love how this author weaves a story to include so many things, but not make it overbearing. This is such a beautiful romance between two people who are the most unlikely of lovebirds.

I listened to the audio of this one, and as usual the narrator did an excellent job. Her performance made me laugh out loud at moments and be able to feel Jillian's anxiety. I loved everything about the audiobook!

At about the halfway point in this book, it becomes a bit stalkerish. I am not sure if it was because I was also reading a thriller about a terrifying stalker at the same time as this one, but I really did not find the stalking cute or romantic. It made me really uncomfortable and I wasn't a huge fan of that part of the story. So if you don't like a love story about someone that is willing to risk it all, and be stalkerish about it., for love, then this is not the book for you.

Even though this is my least favorite by this author that I have read so far, there were so many amazing things in it. It was witty and had some very funny moments, while still being respectful of the loss Jillian had endured and her extreme social anxiety. I will continue to autobuy and recommend anything and everything Sarah Ready!

I loved this book and thought it was really good up until the very end. It honestly felt like it was forced for some reason. It was happy and it’s almost what I expected but it just didn’t feel like I wanted it to. I’m sure it’s just me though, so take this review with a grain of salt. Majority of the book was really great, a cool concept.

Jillian’s column is struggling. She’s on her last leg with her employer. When she moves into a new apartment she’s stunned to find a ghost also inhabits it. And he’s a good looking ghost too!
Jillian has always had a hard time talking to men but she finds it easy to talk to this ghost- Daniel. Daniel comes and goes but they end up in some sort of relationship with each other. He even helps her with her column and it becomes successful again. Jillian is content to be in this relationship but Daniel knows it can’t last. One night after they get really close, he’s gone. Just gone.
Jillian is determined to find him again and alter the fate that turns him into a ghost. She’s going to work really hard though because he ends up being a really rich and closed off person.

I honestly wanted to love this book but it unfortunately just fell quite short for me.
The premise sounded great, I loved the main character and the twists that took place throughout, but the story itself was lacklustre and quite drawn out to the point that I hoped it was finished about 50% of the way through.

I really enjoyed this book. I don't typically listen to a lot of audio books but it was perfect to listen to in the car, on the treadmill or even when I was trying to block out the cubical noise at work!

I really thought the book was going to go in one direction and every time something happened to pivot in a different one, it was surprising and fun. Definitely worth a read!

I listened to this audiobook and honestly stopped about halfway through because I was so thrown off. I liked the characters but was kind of weirded out by the "physical" contact between the 2 main characters. Maybe weirded out is the wrong term, confused is possibly better. I'm glad I picked it back up and finished. I really enjoyed the friendly relationship between the main characters and loved it in the second half of the book. This book was not what I expected, but I enjoyed it and would read others by this author in the future.

Overall I thought this book was cute, albeit a little too long. The fixation with being “together” with a ghost forever was a little much for me, (including the sex scenes, ick) but the ending made up for it. I can see why Jillian was so in love with Daniel though. Their banter and connection was cute. Ultimately this isn’t just a sappy rom com, it hits on some heavy topics as well and does a good job exploring grief and forgiving yourself. Thank you to netgalley for an advanced audio of Ghosted!

The audio was well done. There are two narrators, but the male is only heard during the second epilogue.

I love a ghost relationship troupe. The quirky characters, the mystery around the ghost, and his importance in the main character, Jillian's life. It had me thoroughly entertained. I liked the first 60% of this book more than the end. Somewhere around 60% it started to slog for me and everything felt like it was going too slow. I think the author could have cut 50pages and still had a great story. Would i recommend this book? I’m honestly not sure. If the premise sounds good to you, give it a try!

I loved this book! Listened to it thanks to NetGalley. It’s so moreish, I needed more and it was hard to put down. It was longer than I expected but I didn’t mind.

Great narrator as well.

So many twists and turns!! I had several theories throughout.

- is it Michael in a new “body”
- Is Daniel even real or in her head?
- Is Daniel in a coma?

I only saw the ending half coming, the twists that I didn’t see coming were amazing and it takes a great book to keep me guessing when I normally know what’s going to happen by chapter two!

I did see the “fake Daniel” coming. I would have liked more from Serena, she was underplayed.

“I was very jealous of myself” has to be one of the best lines in the whole book!

It made me cry several times, the worst place, the train. The okay place, on a coach with my hood up!

Totally recommended, it’s a “straight novel” and I normally read queer fiction but honestly I loved this!!

4.5 rounded up to 5⭐️ I didn’t want it to end, part of me was thinking the ending could have been more punchy but I have no idea how!

Did Daniel and Bernard make up?
I was not a fan of the second epilogue. It almost made the whole book a little cringe, might just be me but was not a fan! I didn’t even get the point of it, did anyone? Help!!

Thank you NetGalley and publishers for this audiobook. It was fantastic! I normally don’t enjoy paranormal stories but if it’s a paranormal romance, I’m all for it! I loved the movie Just Like Heaven and the book The Dead Romantics so Ghosted was right up my alley. I thought it was funny that Jillian’s career is writing a dating/relationship advice column but in her real life, she can’t speak to men haha (so relatable). This book was a very enjoyable read/listen, so I’m looking forward to diving into other books Sarah has written.

I REALLY love Sarah Ready's writing style so for the first third of the book I was totally in. I initially didn't think I would like this because of the paranormal aspect because I find it so cheesy a lot of the time but I actually liked the way she introduced it in this. However, my mind quickly changed when she started having sex with the ghost. The speed at which the relationship with the ghost developed was way too rushed and unrealistic. I really liked the other parts of the book when she got to know the real person though. Although, I did feel like that relationship was a bit rushed towards the end as well. They had such a natural incline and then their actual profession of love felt forced. Overall I thought this was a really cool concept and started off really great and had some other really interesting moments, also had a lot of unrealistic forced moments. I read Sarah Ready's "Josh and Gemma Make a Baby" a couple of months ago and I absolutely adored it. I was so excited to read "Ghosted" because I wanna experience the same thing again. Sadly, this book didn't do it for me.

I feel like this could've been 100+ pages shorter. It was too long. There were a lot of annecessary descriptions about things and settings and it got boring too many times. There were also a lot of unimportant scenes that could have been omitted or shortened, at least.

I liked that it wasn't the typical ghost story but other than that, it was just 'meh' for me. I didn't really like the characters. I wasn't able to relate to them in any way. I didn't feel any emotions for them. I was just reading for the sake of finishing this book. I came to a point several times that I just wanted to DNF it.

Sorry but this book really got me exhausted. I wanted so badly to like it but it just wasn't for me.

I cannot recommend this book enough. It has everything: Hope, healing, heartache and most importantly a HEA! I love Jillian and her personality and the journey she goes through. I love her friendships, her work family, her real family. It is so unusual for an engaging book to show healthy supportive friends and family behind the FMC AND the MMC for that matter. The beautiful full circle that occurs made my romance reader heart sigh. The dots that connect that I didn’t even know were there until the connections were made. Jillian stayed true to who she was, Trekker and all, through the entire story! And she was loved for it.

Just when I thought the heartache would be too much for my happily ever after obsessed soul- I got a burst of happiness with a side, character romance. That was absolutely the sweetest most butterfly inspiring moment! It helped me push through the "maybe i should just fast forward to find out what happens because I can't stand it" feeling!

Thank you Sarah Ready for giving us TWO epilogues! Especially the second one. Melt me. I am dying to talk to this book with a friend! I cannot wait to read Switched! I love how Sarah Ready takes familiar ideas and how she completely makes them her own. This is way too long of a review but I am having force myself to stop typing about it!
