Thank you so much to Net Galley, W.W. Crown Publishers, and Sarah Ready for providing this cute paranormal romance for my honest review. I really enjoyed this book. It is sweet, quirky, romantic, and very entertaining. I could have done without the Star Trek references and it drags a bit in the middle, but overall I enjoyed this book very much. If you love paranormal romances then I highly recommend this one. Thank you again for allowing me to review it.

I wanted to like this book. I really, really wanted to like this book but sadly that didn’t happen. When I first saw it on Netgalley and read its description and all the good reviews, I thought I had found the perfect book to kick off my Halloween Series. And I did enjoy it initially. The quirky characters, the mystery around the ghost, and his importance in the main character, Jillian's life. It had me thoroughly entertained.

But then it started to go downhill. For the most part the story dragged on with scenes that could have been fit in a few paragraphs but were spread over an entire chapter with repetitive descriptions of the littlest things. And the constant Star Trek references (which I’m sure the fans of the series would enjoy) felt like inside jokes where people like me who weren’t born in the US or are unfamiliar with the series were left out. I could never understand its significance in the scene or how it helped it move forward.

I was very much into the story in the beginning but started to lose interest around the 30% mark. From 40% I just skimmed over the book because reading it started to feel like a task instead of something I was doing for fun. The story did pick up at around the 60% mark which brought back my lost interest. I was sure I was going to give two stars for this book but the last part about time travel and the rush of seeing whether the main characters would end up together added one star to the initial rating.

Final comments? This could have been an amazing book with the most intriguing plot but it lost its charm along the way. It had a lot of potential which could have been realized with better execution.

I’d like to preface this by saying I am in the minority of people who reads spoilers for everything possible. I need to know what happens so I can emotionally prepare. The reviewers at Goodreads offered zero spoilers, so I went through the rollercoaster of this book completely blind.

That being said, I LOVED this book. If anyone were to ask me my favorite book for the last 15+ years, I would automatically tell them The Time Travelers Wife, but this book might be fighting for that spot.

I am usually not into insta love unless it’s fated mates style, but there was something special in this. I kept looking at the percentage read on my kindle asking myself “ok so we are in love WHAT is going to happen?!”

There were so many layers (and I don’t want to spoil it since I had to “suffer” without them everyone else has to as well) but ugh it was just SO good.

Not to be dramatic but this book might be my new personality for a while.

Ghosted by Sarah Ready

Rating:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I would have finished this book in 2 days if my life wasn’t so chaotic.

A nerd and a ghost fall in love. Ok, well that isn’t the whole story, but what if I told you after Jillian moves into a new apartment she is greeted by a shirtless ghost. Why was he drawn to her? Can they figure it out before it is his time to move on?

I absolutely loved Ghosted and can’t wait for book 2. I have been grabbing all of the audios for Sarah Ready’s books off Netgalley since Josh and Gemma Make a Baby and this book absolutely didn’t disappoint.

The Narrators were perfect and that is saying something considering I like to listen to my books at 2x+ and the narrator didn’t sound robotic when I put it at 2.5x

I really loved this book. I’m sad it took me so long to finally pick it up and read it. It was so sweet and I honestly couldn't put it down until I finished it.

I enjoyed this book and the twists and turns it had in a romance with a little paranormal aspect. Sarah has really great stories with great chemistry. It dragged here and there due to its length but overall I enjoyed the story.

This book was a delight. I loved the connection that Daniel and Jillian shared. I loved the mind bending theoretical physics the book explored. The banter was entertaining and the side characters endearing. This was a really cute rom com with a twist. The only negative I had was that the pacing was sometimes a little off, and the ending was somewhat predictable, but overall I adored it.

I liked this book! The FMC was very easy to relate to and I enjoyed her character very much. I wasn't as much a fan of the MMC, but he grew on me towards the end. I would very much enjoy another book in this series. I liked the first 60% of this book more than the ending, but overall it was very enjoyable. I'm looking forward to reading more of this authors work.

I was most appreciative of an ARC because I love this author, but sadly this book just let me down. While Demi Moore and Patrick swayze may have ruined ghost interactions for me, or maybe the fact that I love Star Wars way more than Star Trek, I don't know but just something just didn't do it for me with this book. It was too long in parts. Some areas that could have been expanded on were glossed over. And the whole middle just bogged me down and bored me. The ending got a little better until they went to the other country. I don't know. It was just a little bit of a mess. More so than the other books. I'm not even sure if I would give the sequel a try. But I will continue to still read this author because I like her other books a lot.

This is such a cute story, and really original too! I have never read anything like it. I love the plot, and i love the characters (um i need me a daniel).

The book was quite on the long side, and i must say that halfway through the book i thought we were already nearing the ending. However, there was much more coming, and it was so fun to read the second half after that first one. The second epilogue was also a really good addition!

I also really liked the mention of the gala, whose name i of course remember from the space between, another novel bij sarah ready. I love it when worlds come together like that.

Really fun, definitely recommend! Cant wait for book 2 and read about Serena.

audio is really nice as well, i really liked the narrator

This book was perfect and I love the paranormal twist to it.

Moving to a new house, making friends with a ghost and falling in love with him is definitely not the easy road to take and yet... Maybe a happy ever after might be in the cards for Jillian anyway.

Jillian loves living in New York. She loves her job at The Daily Expose newspaper. She even likes her coworkers. But she has to live in a cheap apartment because New York is expensive. That's how she ends up in an apartment covered in mirrors and haunted by Daniel. She and Daniel spend lots of time together and begin to develop feelings for each other. Unfortunately, he is a ghost, so this is likely to be a very complicated relationship!

This is a supernatural love story. The author was creative in her treatment of two people falling in love in an unusual situation. I became invested in them finding a way to end up together. I am not going to give away the twist because it wouldn't be fair for future readers to miss out on the moment when the author gives away how it might work out. I like both Jillian and Daniel. I thought the side characters added a nice little something to the overall story. The writing was good, and the flow of the story was excellent.

This is a contemporary romance set in New York City and other (I'm not going to say since I fear it might give away something). This story has supernatural components. This is a feel-good story about two people who are meant to be together even against the odds. I would recommend this story to anyone looking for a love story about two nice people who just belong together. I will definitely read more from this author in the future.

This is a lovely novel. It is different than anything I’ve read before.

Jillian finds herself in an apartment in NYC with a ghost. She makes friends with him, falls in love, and must figure out her destiny.

A very good, fun, funny, beautiful story with a happy ending. (My favorite)

Definitely recommend to others.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This book was so sweet and I loved the somewhat paranormal aspect of this book. Daniel and Jillian were so adorable! I loved how Daniel in his ghost form was able to help Jillian come out of her shell. I loved how they fell in love while he was a ghost and I love how Jillian was a Star Trek super fan. I love the inclusion of a geeky female main character!

I really loved this book. It was so sweet and I honestly couldn't put it down. I thought it was going to be a little silly at first, but as I read I was more and more sucked in. I read it about a month ago and I honestly am still thinking about it!

Ghosted by Sarah Ready is a fun contemporary romance with a supernatural twist. A friends to lovers story full of witty banter and ghostly goings-on. Jillian and Daniel first meet under extraordinary circumstances and not all is as it seems. It is a wonderful story about fate and a love strong enough to help the couple save each other, but can you have a HEA when one of the couple is dead? You will just have to read it to find out!

The author quickly immerses you into the paranormal part of the story when Jillian moves into her new apartment and is shocked to find it is haunted by a handsome shirtless ghost. She can’t believe he’s a ghost and he doesn’t believe he’s dead. He doesn’t know why or how he died and can’t remember much about his life. Is it all a dream or has she just imagined him as she has been so determined to find a man who sees her for who she is. Daniel knows her name and is positive they were friends but she is sure she didn’t know him before he died. This leads her to question who is he? Why has he appeared to her and no one else? Why hasn’t he moved on?

The biggest surprise for Jillian is being able to talk to Daniel because she is extremely shy and usually has an inability to speak to men. He helps her when her job is in jeopardy and gives her dating advice. They fall into an easy friendship and the connection between them grows quickly.
The emotional side of the story grows as we learn more about them and love blossoms between them. I felt the insta love between them was not surprising because he was the first man she could actually talk to. We meet her work colleagues who are an eclectic group but have grown into a family over the years and we learn a lot about all of them. Her best friend Serena is so funny and supportive, I loved how she helped Jillian navigate her unusual relationship.

They are having so much fun together and she is changing as a person that she is distraught when he suddenly doesn’t appear anymore. She thought he was there due to having some unfinished business so has he done what he was meant to and moved on? Will she ever find out who he was? The story continues as Jillian tries to navigate life without Daniel. My heart broke for her but luckily the author doesn't leave us in suspense for too long and all is revealed in the end. This unusual story is well written and you will be thoroughly entertained and captivated by Jillian and Daniel. Will they manage to save each other when the time comes? Although it is told entirely from Jillian’s POV, we get an amusing second epilogue from Daniel to end this wonderful book. Look out for Switched - Serena’s story next year.

This is the first paranormal romance book I've tried and it didn't disappoint. I love how this story highlights letting go of your past, loving yourself, and mostly forgiving yourself so you can embrace the love you deserve.

Absolutely adored this book and it reminded me of the movie ‘just like heaven’ from the early 2000s. Loved the characters and the storyline ofcourse it was entirely unbelievable but a fantastic read

Read this as an ARC through NetGalley & I am so happy I chose this story.
I don't usually read paranormal stories, but I quite enjoyed this one. This book is a bit long (457 pages) but I didn't mind. It was written as two parts. While the first half of the book was wonderful, the second half is what really pulled me in. Probably because the paranormal aspect subsided.

All in all it was a unique and lovely romance. The side characters were interesting with their own little stories. Looking forward to the next book to learn more about Serena.
