Jillian is the only dating and relationship expert on the planet who is incapable of speaking to men. If they’re living, if they’re breathing, it’s game over. Jillian moves to a new apartment and soon discovers the apartment is already occupied by Daniel, who is also dead. He’s a ghost but is the only man Jillian can talk about and is soon falling for him but may be the only man she can never have.
I had a great time reading this book ! I loved it 7 was a very unique story, not like anything I have ever read before. This book was such a rollercoaster of emotions. This is my first Sarah Ready, and I will definitely be looking up her backlist ! If you can suspend disbelief, then I would highly recommend this book !
I listened to this on audio book. I found the audio easy to listen to and welll read and bought the characters to life.
Thank you to Netgalley, W.W. Crown Independent Book Publishing and Sarah Ready for an advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This was so good! Funny, sweet and made me laugh out loud more than once.
I enjoyed the story and genuinely liked all the characters.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an advanced copy of “Ghosted” by Sarah Ready. All opinions are my own.
Ghosted follows the story of Jillian, who moves into her new NYC apartment and finds its already inhabited. Only problem, he’s a ghost. Over time they become friends as Daniel helps her get out of her shell in her personal and professional life. When suddenly the ghost disappears, Jillian runs into Daniel, alive and well. But will he remember everything they shared?
This book was all over the place. I’ve read a few of the authors books before (French Holiday - loved!! Josh & Gemma Make a Baby, enjoyed. The sequel, hated.) I guess it’s hit or miss with me. Sometimes the descriptions felt unnecessary and over the top, definitely some of that could’ve been cut. Given how drawn out the rest of the book was, I felt the ending sort of rushed and convenient that he suddenly remembers everything and it’s all fixed.

Everyone repeat with me now, Sarah Ready is a literary magician!
This book gave me ALLLLLLLL the feels. I was up to the weeee hours of the morning finishing it while sobbing and accidentally waking my husband up. Once he realized I was reading, he of course rolled his eyes and went back to sleep as he always does. But AHH! I just want to yell over and over at my keyboard non coherent words. It was that good.
So, truth. I first read this book then went back and listed to the audio. I loved it just as much the second time around when I was being read to by Sarah Naughton and Rob Brinkmann as I did when I was reading it myself. They crushed it!!
Anyway. . . This book is simply beautiful. There is no other way to put it. It’s a story of love and what you are willing to sacrifice for those you love. For Jillian, it’s everything.
Thank you NetGalley and Swift & Lewis Publishing LLC for the ARC!

I really love the way Sarah Ready tells stories, and the characters she writes are some of my favorites. I get so emotionally invested in her stories and characters, she is easily an auto-buy author for me and I'm so happy I got to read this one early.
Jillian is in the biggest rut of her life. Her love life is non-existent (even if her godmother continues to set her up on dates), she's at risk of losing her job, and she's just moved into the world's cringes apartment. Oh, and did she mention is appears that her new apartment is already occupied? Daniel is a shirtless, six-pack wielding heartthrob, who appears to be dead. He's also the only man on earth Jillian is actually capable of talking to. Somehow their linked, and Daniel has decided the only way for him to move on is to help Jillian get her life back on track. He'll help her with her job and get her talking to men again, no problem. Of course, it's never that simple. The more time they spend together, the more it seems like Jillian is falling for the one man she can never have.
I seriously loved Daniel and Jillian so much. The way they connected with each other, and just got each other was so great. I loved the little mystery of how they were connected to each other, and I think the way that was revealed was quite unique to the story. I loved the Star Trek references. I think they were a great addition to the story and just a fun thing to spot for those who have watch any of the shows or movies. I loved that at the heart of this book, it was about being yourself and finding your own peace. Yes, of course there is a happy ending here, but I didn't feel like them finding a way to be together was the entire point of the story. At the end of the day, the way the two of them were able to find peace with their pasts was something I thought was really important to the story. I also surprisingly loved that this was told from just Jillian's point of view. Yes, I of course would have loved to have pieces from Daniel's point of view, but I think this one really worked the way it was told.
This is one I would easily recommend to anyone who enjoys the following.
✔️ Strangers to Friends to Lovers
✔️ Slight Amnesia
✔️ Soulmates
✔️ Ghosts/Paranormal
✔️ Forced Proximity
✔️ Star Trek
✔️ First Person Single POV

"Ghosted" by Sarah Ready is a fantastic paranormal romance that echoes the vibe of "Just Like Heaven" and "The Dead Romantics." The story offers a unique perspective that piqued my interest.
Initially, Jillian's challenge in speaking with men felt a bit unrealistic, but as the story progressed, it started to make more sense and added depth to her character. The characters and the plot kept me engaged and eager to see how it all unfolded. I enjoyed seeing how Jillian and Daniel interacted throughout the story and how their relationship grew. I also enjoyed the side characters and what they added to the story.
In a nutshell, "Ghosted" is a captivating paranormal romance that blends the supernatural with the intricacies of human emotions. If you're a fan of the mentioned movie and book, this one is a delightful addition to your reading list.

Jillian has just moved into a new apartment. It's covered and mirrors and may have previously been a sex den, but it's affordable. However, Jillian soon discovers it also comes with a ghost.
Daniel doesn't know how are why he died, or why Jillian is the only one who can see him. But as the two grow closer, they find themselves falling for each other.
Not much more can be said without giving away much of the plot. I admit the first part of the story was seeming a bit cheesy to me, but once the story took a little turn, I was quite into it. Though I got a little annoyed with Daniel close to the end, overall the characters were quite likeable. I enjoyed Jillian going from super shy and awkward to more confident and overcoming some past demons. This was my first read by this author but I will certainly check out more.

Sarah Ready is such an underrated author! This is my 5th book of hers and I’ve loved them all.

Jillian is a bit of an imposter - she’s a dating advice columnist, with little to no actual experience.
With every man she meets that has any potential for dating, she’s unable to speak to them.
Until she meets Daniel.
Though he doesn’t really have that potential either - since he’s a ghost.
He’s the only man she CAN talk to, and they start to think maybe he’s there to help her with her love life, and also her failing career.
This book had me laughing & sobbing. I was so drawn in to these 2 characters and their stories, together and apart. I was rooting for their happily ever after, and wondering how they were going to get there.
I also really enjoyed the audiobook - Sarah always has the best narrators!

Thank you to NetGalley, W. W. Crown and author Sarah Ready for advanced ebook, audiobook & a gifted paperback copy. All opinions are my own.

4.5 stars! Sarah Ready is fast becoming a favorite author of mine. I’ve listened to 2 of her audio books in the last 2 months and I am loving them! Ghosted was a bit different than your normal romance book, which in my opinion is great! The characters in the book were very likable. They had such a good connection, that as a reader you could connect with. And the unique storyline was what really impressed me. I really liked how this story played out, I felt Jillian’s emotions throughout this whole story. And Daniel was a fun character, even when you get half way through the book and get a little surprise! The narrator did great and I would highly recommend this book in audio format or in book form as well. ***Thank you Netgalley & W.W. Crown for the ARC copy in return for an honest review***

My second book I read this year by Sarah Ready and I absolutely loved it!
Our main character Jillian works as a dating and relationship advice columnist, but weirdly enough struggles with speaking to men in real life. But then she moves into her new apartement and along comes a very hot and funny male ghost named Daniel. Daniel decides to help Jillian find love and overcome her fear of talking to men. He believes if he can help her dating life, he will be able to move on.As they spend time together practicing dates and getting to know each other, they develop a deep connection. But they also realize they could never be fully together because Daniel is a ghost!
Absolutely wonderful book! Highly recommend.

REVIEW
cw: anxiety, brief mention of suicide, grief, death, trauma
Dating and relationship expert Jillian has one major problem. She quite literally cannot speak to men. But when she moves into her tiny New York apartment she discovers it's already occupied. By a hot, shirtless man. And yet she can actually speak to him! There's only one problem. He's a ghost. And now Daniel is on a mission to resurrect Jillian's love life, hoping it will help him move on. But what happens when she starts to fall for the one man she can't have?
This book. This. Book..! Wow! What a truly heartachingly beautiful, emotional rollercoaster. Sarah Ready excels at writing physical comedy and there are so many scenes that I snorted laughing, and could imagine watching them in a movie. But she's also a maestra at writing seriously complex moments with hugely impactful and deeply moving resonance, and they are in abundance here. Jillian was such an interesting character, with incredible emotional depth. I adored her development and, I love a geeky FMC, so the first meeting between her and Daniel was truly hilarious (and ultimately poignant). I need to be very careful not to spoil anything because this book kept me guessing throughout. All I will say about Daniel is that I ADORED every single thing about him, and his connection with Jillian was so incredibly moving, but also swoon-worthy. The final chapters were so emotionally impactful that I couldn't stop sobbing, and the epilogues were everything I hoped for. And somehow more... (especially the second one). There are also some wonderful supporting characters. I loved Serena, Jillian's best friend, and I desperately need to know more about her and her supervisor 😉 I also loved Fran, and Jillian's co-workers were hilarious and yet strangely endearing, especially Hayley and Bernardo. I also adored the Easter eggs (IYKYK).
Sarah Ready has very quickly become my favourite author for complex, emotional romance, and I absolutely ADORED this book.
If you can, definitely listen along to the audiobook because it only elevates this exquisite story. Both Sarah Naughton and Rob Brinkman were outstanding.

Favourite Quotes:
“Jilly, are you into fucucking?” She glares at the mirrors, “What is that? A cult?”
“What about holy water, or burning sage, or sprinkling herbs, would any of that work? To help him move on?”
Daniel gives me a hurt look, as if he can’t believe I’m even suggesting this. “Really, Jillian? Really?”
“No,” Zelda says, “he’s a ghost, not a ham..."
I always wondered what he would feel like, and now I know, he feels like holding starlight in my hands.
Be yourself, and the one who is meant to love you will see you and love you exactly as you are.
"...You’re my light. My fate.”

This is a paranormal romance that kept me guessing and intrigued throughout.
We follow Jillian after she surprisingly finds a shirtless man in her new apartment. It turns out he is Daniel - a ghost intent on helping her career. But, can Jillian help Daniel as well and what does it mean to be attracted to a ghost?
I laughed and shrieked and swooned while duo listening and reading to this story unfold.
This was quirky but sweet at is core!

This book oh my gosh. I absolutely devoured this story, I loved all the characters. This is hands down one of my absolute favorite reads of the year so far. I couldn’t put this one down, I just had to know how it ended. I will 100% be recommending this one. I can not say enough good things, just phenomenal.

*I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review*
DNF at 35% - I really wanted to like this book. I went in thinking it would be a Ghost (the movie with Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze) type story, but unfortunately, it just didn’t do it for me. Once I got to the Ghost Sex Scene, I had to put the book down and admit it wasn’t for me.
I also found Jillian incredibly annoying and simplistic. Her inability to speak to men at all was initially a bit endearing, but became absolutely ridiculous and the fact that the only thing we know about her besides that she’s the most awkward human being in the world and everyone is embarrassed for her because she can’t speak to people, is that she’s obsessed with Star Trek.
I wanted to enjoy this and I went in with an open mind, but I just couldn’t get through this one.

I am a sucker for paranormal and romance! I really enjoyed the book for a bit. I enjoyed the ghost parts a lot. Daniel was everything we could ask for from a book boyfriend, even though he was a ghost! However I felt like the book was really descriptive and I found myself skimming some parts. I was pulled from the story and I found myself not enjoying it as much as I would have liked. I think I will try the author again in the future though! There was a nice little twist in the story that I enjoyed. It had a happily ever after which I liked as well. 3.5 stars!

The plot for this reminded me of a reverse ‘Just Like Heaven’, which is one of my all time favorite movies, so I knew I just had to read this! I was delighted to find a little ‘How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days’ sprinkled in as well!
Jillian, a dating and relationship expert for a newspaper, ironically has trouble speaking to men-any man who is breathing, that is. When she moves into a new apartment close to her work, she’s in for the surprise of her life when there’s already someone occupying it. A sexy, shirtless man who disappears after she tries to take his head off with a bat. Reason tells her he’s a ghost, but ghosts aren’t real, or so she thought. Daniel the ghost keeps popping up in her apartment and her life unexpectedly. It’s like he’s following her, attached somehow.
Daniel is everywhere. In her room, her office, even her shower. He’s funny, thoughtful and might have a crush on her? He gives her unsolicited relationship advice and soon, she’s taking it willingly. They decide that he’s been sent to help her talk to and find a man. But what if the only man she wants is the one she can’t have?
I don’t know about you, but the first thing I would have done when I realized there was a ghost in my house is to look up everything I could about him. Who he was, how he died, everything. Our FMC didn’t do this and honestly it frustrated me. How do you just fall in love with some ghost boy you essentially know nothing about? If she did look him up, though, there would have went half the plot.
I know nothing about Star Trek (I’m a Star Wars girlie myself), so the references in here didn’t hit me the way they would a Trekkie, but I appreciated the way the author explained them.
This was a beautiful story and definitely a tear jerker. Even though it isn’t supposed to be realistic, I still felt that some things were too unrealistic for my liking. Not the ghost part or the love part, but some of the dialogue and ending. Regardless, I was still pulled into this story and I read it in one sitting. Daniel and Jillian are perfect for each other in any and every timeline/dimension. ❤️

Sarah Ready sure knows how to rip your heart out with star crossed love stories and put it back together in the most satisfying ways!! I LOVED her last book, The Space between so, so much and was shocked to learn she had this one publishing so soon after that.
Highly recommended if you enjoyed Ashley Poston's The dead romantics or The seven year slip, this book is a unique mash up of both those, that sees, relationship advice columnist Jillian moving into a new apartment only to be confronted with Daniel, a shirtless ghost only she can see.
Daniel is sure helping Jillian is the key to him being able to move on. Unable to remember anything about his past Jillian helps Daniel learn who he was while he helps her with her job and dating woes as a nerdy Trekkie who has a hard time talking to men, making her a terrible dating expert.
Emotional and full of depth, this was great on audio and a terrific slow burn. If you like Nora Ephron movies and stories with a touch of magical realism, this is the perfect read for you. Many thanks to NetGalley and the author for early digital and audio copies in exchange for my honest review!

Jillian has a job that is going badly wrong, a literal inability to speak to men, and a new apartment full of mirrors. Oh, and an extremely attractive ghost appearing and disappearing randomly in her life...
This book got to the end point I expected, but the path it took was an unexpected one. Also, an emotional, humour-tinged and captivating one. I liked Jillian, especially once her history was explained; her determination and her loyalty were well realised, and her interactions with Daniel built up beautifully. There was also an excellent cast of supporting characters - particularly Hayley and Bernardo - and while some suspension of disbelief is always going to be necessary in a story like this, the sweeping romance and the way it all fitted together made for an engrossing read.

I don't normally read paranormal romances but, I am so glad I read this one. Sarah Ready knows how to write characters and a great plot to the story. When the book was over I simply wanted more.

Ghosted is an enticing paranormal romance that I found to be amazing from the first chapter to the last!! It kept me hooked the whole time and before I knew it I had read the whole thing in one sitting!! I was so sad when it was over. That's what makes me know that this book needs to be on my bookshelf asap. I am a sucker for a good ghost romance and Sarah Ready delivered. I totally fell for and cried over this ghost. I will be recommending this book to anyone who will listen and re-reading. The spice level was good and placed in the best spots to keep us as readers wanting to keep reading. This book has been my favorite read of September thus far!!
This is the story of Jillian who cannot talk to any males in this world. She is shy has a rough go of things early in life.. she is a Star Trek loving journalist who is still working for the paper she first started working after graduation. She gets the surprise when she moves into her new apartment in New York City with mirrored walls put up by the previous tenant. A shirtless man appearing in her apartment out of nowhere. When he's vanishes just as quickly she is more than a little freaked out. But later she realizes that Daniel is a ghost. Jillian doesn't know why Daniel is in her apartment. Daniel himself is not very sure of what happened to his life other than they are friends. Jillian thinks she has to get rid of Daniel and seeks out a psychic for help. The psychic says it can only happen if Daniel helps her in some way because she thinks that's the reason Daniel is here. Daniel decides his duty is to help Jillian to get into dating other men but the problem is: as Jillian spends more time with a ghost she is falling in love with the ghost and Daniel is feeling the same but there is no future for them. When Daniel disappears Jillian is left to figure out can she live without him and if not how will she get him back??
