Unfortunately, I felt like this book wasn't for me. I struggled to engage with the author's writing style and failed to connect with the characters. It also seemed to fail to deliver the suspenseful atmosphere I was anticipating. It started off pretty slow and I found myself waiting for things to pick up, only to be disappointed because everything unfolded in an underwhelming manner.

there's books that exist where you want to like them so much but sometimes I just can't and this was one of those for me. I found the story very disengaging and I couldn't connect with an author's writing style at all.

thank you to netgalley for allowing me access to read this one, its just unfortunate it didn't click for me.

Katia has created a great book that has lot of interesting characters and relationships. I like the simple pink cover and bold black lettering of the words. The plot got me hooked and invested to see how the story would play out. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.

This was good! Good twists and story. Started off slow but once I got into it I couldn’t put it down.. The story flowed well and the characters were well developed. I recommend this book and look forward to more from this author.

****Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for providing an ARC in exchange for my honest review****

I wanted to read "Invisible Woman" because it sounded so timely with the #metoo movement and Harvey Weinstein debacle. However, I struggled to connect with the characters and narrative. Although it wasn't a strong read or me, I am sure it could be for another reader. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.

Fun book.
Thanks to author, publisher and Netgalley for the chance to read this book. While I got the book for free it had no bearing on the rating I gave it.

Lief has created a snapshot of the stories related to the #Metoo phenomenon. Joni Ackerman is married to a famous director husband and decided years ago to shelf her filmmaking dreams to have children and support the home. The marriage is fraying now that the children are gone and Joni is beginning to want more in their new household on the East Coast.

When news comes out of a familiar man being accused of multiple transgressions, she contacts her old friend Val. Val wants nothing to do with the issue but Joni keeps pushing. Suddenly Joni has a lot more to deal with when the police come to the door.

A good novel, some of the pieces don't quite come together and may have been better left on the cutting floor. But certainly a good example for this exciting time.

Lately I’ve been drawn to the darker side of psychological thrillers. Here’s a prime example. Invisible Woman is just that. I loved the previous Katia Lief book I read. This one was darker, grittier & an epic read. The book mentions Hitchcock & Highsmith but you can fault me b/c I saw shades of Christie. Great read!

I absolutely loved reading Invisible Womam. I was completely drawn into the topic and could not stop reading it.

Sometimes I just can't connect with an author's writing style, which is exactly what happened with Invisible Woman. I struggled to get into the narrative or connect with any of the characters, which is a bummer because the premise sounded so interesting. Hopefully other readers will be a better fit for this story than me.
