I have a soft spot when it comes to childhood friends to lovers, and considering the holiday setting, I got even softer for this one. I completely and utterly enjoyed this story so much. Kieran and Sylvia were something special and definitely meant for one another. Their connection was so intense, and I loved seeing them interact in both timelines. I rarely enjoy both timelines in books, but this one was executed so amazingly. I couldn't decide which timeline I was more invested in.

"Call You Mine" gets 4.25 stars from me because I loved the childhood friends to lovers cozy feeling. Amazing book for this winter!

“After a night of heartbreak, small-town childhood sweethearts reconnect for a second chance to finally have their holiday happily ever after.”

Childhood friends to lovers? Check.
Second chance romance? Check.
Dual timelines? Check.

I wanted to love this one. I really did. These are literally my three favorite things. But in the end it fell a little short. While I know so many other’s really liked the “now” portion of the book, I felt like it dragged. I really loved the “then” portion and found myself skimming the “now” chapters to get to the “then” chapters.

I loved watching their friendship grow and change through the duration of the book. You can clearly see that they both love each other so much but they are terrified of making the first move and ruining everything. In the “then” I loved Kieren. In the “now” I loved Sylvia.

For me, it was the fact that at 70% finished (according to my Kindle app), I still had no idea what happened to break them apart. I really felt like it was never going to come.

Four star read for me for sure. I just wish it could have moved a little but faster.

Thank you to Net Galley and the author for this ARC.

I'd rate "Call You Mine" by Kendra Mase as 3.75 stars. This novel explores the rekindling of childhood sweethearts Sylvia and Kieran after a heartbreak. The story has a charming holiday backdrop, making it a suitable read for fans of Emily Henry and Christina Lauren. However, the plot's predictability and some unresolved conflicts left me wanting a bit more depth and development.

Call you mine tells the story of childhood best friends Kieran and Sylvia through a dual plot line following the two as children and when they are older after having a blow-up. All of their issues seem to come down to communication which it was nice seeing them work that out and not make the same mistakes the second time around. Kieran and Sylvia have such a sweet relationship full of support and care for one another, it is so easy to root for them and I really enjoyed that. This book is perfect for anyone looking for a sweet, small town, dual timeline read perfect for the holiday season.

Thank you to Kendra, Netgalley and Victory Editing for my ARC copy in exchange for my honest review!

Sylvia and Kieran have been best friends since they were 7, immediately forming a close bond that spans all the situations of growing up. After an argument, they haven’t spoken in 4 years, and Sylvia has avoided their hometown. After her life spectacularly falls apart in a matter of minutes, she heads home for the holidays and faces her past.

I honestly wasn’t expecting this to be so emotional, but it got me right in the feels! It was beautifully told and kept me hooked through everything. I love dual timeline books and watching everything match up after its been building. The side characters also added to the timeline, it was interesting to watch all their relationships intertwine though the years.

The slow burn was BURNING but so worth it! The miscommunication had me screaming at my kindle, it just stresses me out being a third-party witness to the chaos lol. The amount of my fave tropes definitely outweighed the stress though, I’m a sucker for friends-to-lovers and forced proximity.

This was a cozy little read that I can see myself picking back up around the holidays. It’s my first from Kendra, but it won’t be my last! Grab it on Sept. 12 when it comes out.

“I’ve always been yours, and you’re mine”

Where do I start. I wish there was the ability to give 6 stars. I picked up call you mine after being drawn in by the summary and it did NOT disappoint. I read the whole thing in one sitting. I was immediately hooked on Kieran and Sylvia’s story, their journey was a rollercoaster of emotions, misunderstandings and ultimately a beautiful friendship and soul shattering love ♥️

There were times I wanted to knock their heads together for being so blind.
I laughed at Sylvia’s self deprecation and face palmed at Kieran’s utter stupidity. Ultimately both of our MCs made mistakes, they both grew and gave us faith that everything really does happen for a reason. Even if that thing is a cheating boyfriend or the inability to find a Christmas tree that still has its needles. 🎄

Kendra creates a group of characters in a world you can really get behind. Even the ‘side’ characters had developed personalities that had you asking for more. I don’t often reread romances, I feel like once you know the drama stories lose their shine. I don’t think this will be the case with call you mine. I think this will be something I can come back to again and again. I wanted to write a more detailed review of this but in all honesty I think you should just experience it for yourself.

If you’re looking for a cosy romance with a sprinkling of spice then this heartwarming tale of loves lost and rediscovered is most definitely for you.

“You’ll be mine forever?”
Immediately, I nodded. “And after”

♥️♥️♥️

I'm such a sucker for a dual timeline, best friends to lovers story. Seeing all of the couple's adventures together from before they were ever an item is always so fascinating to me - especially when it's so obvious that they are completely in love with one another before they even realize it themselves. Of course, life gets in the way and prevents Sylvia and Kieran from being together, drifting apart, then slowly coming back together - and their relationship grows to a climax in both timelines. THIS is the stuff I love most in a best friends to lovers story. This book delivers all of this goodness. It's sweet, it's cozy, but it's also angsty. You just want the couple to set aside whatever they're dealing with and realize they're soulmates, but we have to get the full story for why it didn't work the first time they give it a try.

Kieran is so protective of his peace, keeping all emotions locked down to prevent himself from hurting again, and Sylvia's life is falling apart as she grapples with drastic changes in her life and coming terms with the fact that her and Kieran's relationship may never be the same again. It's a rollercoaster of emotions as we get happy memories in one chapter, and awkward re-introductions in the next. But I loved the way this all came together. We see a lot of character development from Sylvia as she adjusts to her life back in her hometown, and realizes the support system that's always been there for her.

I really liked Kendra's writing style, I'm definitely interested in reading more of her works. Thank you so much to Kendra Mase and NetGalley for an eARC in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

I love everything Kendra writes 🥹 this was absolutely wonderful in every single way. It has all of the things I LOVE in a book. The childhood friends to strangers to lovers, the second chance that’s kind of actually the first chance because they never really got a first chance since it was more of an almost, the PINING, the fact that they were BEST FRIENDS and didn’t want to risk that but also they both loved each other so much. I love Sylvia and Kieran so much. This is going to make for a perfect cozy holiday read!!

I love how dedicated Sylvia and Kieran were to each other. They were best friends first and foremost and nothing was going to get in the way of that. And their friendship was SO GOOD. Every part of it was so perfect, it was exactly what the other needed. I loved how much they loved each other. Sure, their communication wasn’t perfect. They were young and things were confusing, and taking risks are hard especially when they were living in different places. But they did love each other SO MUCH.

The dual timeline was perfect. I loved how it built to the conflict the way it did, it was written so well! I felt how much they were both hurting in the present, and how easy things were in the past. And now their feelings and lives for more and more complicated as they grew up. The past was absolutely crucial to their story and I loved every second of it, even the painful bits. And even though it was only in Sylvia’s POV, and we didn’t necessarily see Kieran’s thoughts, Kendra wrote him so well. All of his feelings came through so well via Sylvia’s POV. It was beautifully done!

Thank you so so much to Kendra Mase, Netgally, and Victory Editing Netgalley Co-Op for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Call You Mine is a sweet story of childhood sweethearts and a second chance at romance! As kids, Sylvia and Kieran were inseparable. But something that happened 4 years ago, and the busyness of life has caused them to fall apart. Now Sylvia has lost her big city job and boyfriend all in one night. She heads home for the holidays, and finds the house empty - her parents have gone on vacation without her. Its apparent that Kieran is still struggling with their lost friendship, and she is determined to make it up to him. Will they have a second chance at love? Or was the heartbreak to much to overcome?

What I liked: This is a super sweet story of soulmates who met as children. But when life happens - they fall apart. But you just root for them to get out of their own way and figure out that they are meant for each other. Who doesn't love that type of story? I also like that their conflict is real. Its not a contrived miscommunication trope....its the real, gritty, hard life stuff they are dealing with. I also loved the dual timelines...it kept you guessing as to what had led to their falling apart years earlier.

What I didn't like: I can't really think of much I didn't like!

If you are looking for a sweet second chance romance, this is your book!

Thank you to Kendra Mase and NetGalley for the ARC!

Dual timelines can be hard to pull off and I think this book does a great job with it. The back and forth really works for this particular story and the events almost.mirror each other which is something I love when reading a dual timeline.

I just couldn't seem to connect with the characters though. I found Sylvia to be more than a little selfish and Kieran, while sweet, didn't have much of a personality at all.

Kendra Mase wrote a beautiful story. Whether it's a romance or a friendship book, I love second chances. The story is just beautiful to me. It's fascinating to see how she seems to switch between past and present with such fluidity, so it doesn't take you out of the story to do this. It also takes place in a small town in Vermont called Marshall Falls.

After years of completing lists as kids through college years. They lost touch when Sylvia went to the Big City to pursue her dream job. However, Sylvia later caught her boyfriend cheating on her and that was enough for her to run home. After a bad first meeting with Kieran again (her long-time best friend). As a result, she creates a list of tasks to complete in order to get him back. I will give no spoilers on this one.

I love this story because it is a dual POV and done so well. This book has such sweet emotions and great descriptions I simply couldn’t put the book down. I can definitely see myself reading this around Christmas time again.

Thanks, Netgally and the publisher for the ARC of this book.

“I miss you all the time. I miss you whenever you’re not right next to me.
Missing you some days is all i can think about”

Soo i was in a reading slump and I didn’t feel like picking up any physical book i have, so I decided to request an arc on netgalley to see if it would help and it definitely did!
Call you mine is the first book by Kendra Mase i’ve read but it certainly won’t be the last, i’ve absolutely loved this story and the two main characters: Sylvia and Kieran.
During the book, the chapters alternate between present and past to let us understand the bond between our main characters better, so we see Kier and Sylvia when they first met at the age of seven, thirteen, sixteen and so on.
I must say that i prefer enemies to lovers usually but childhood friends to lovers books are just the cutest and this was no exception, Kieran and Sylvia are 100% soulmates and they complete each other perfectly.

I usually also hate the miscommunication trope, but it was kinda justified here since they were both so young and indecisive about their life choices, they needed to grow up and finally stick together🥰🥰
I had the best time reading this book, even if i would have LOVED to have Kieran’s pov too!!
I could relate both to him and Sylvie so it would have been real nice to get an insight of his struggles/thoughts as well❤️

Thank you to netgalley and the author for giving me a chance to read this book!
All opinions are my own.

Call You Mine is a charming and emotional second chance, small-town, friends-to-lovers, holiday romance with dual timelines. The story follows Sylvia and Kieran, childhood best friends who are absolutely inseparable. After meeting and sticking by each other since they were seven years old, the two develop feelings early on in their friendship; but aren't willing to risk their relationship by confessing. When Sylvia goes off to college and Kieran stays in their hometown, their friendship shifts. Both Kieran and Sylvia manage by making frequent calls to each other and visiting when they can, but things don't stay the same. After a blow-up, the two go separate ways and Sylvia and Kieran don't reunite for another four years until Sylvia returns to their hometown for the holidays after losing her job.

I had such a good time reading Call You Mine, it was a very cute and engaging story! The book starts out when they are only seven years old and each chapter switches between then and now, with the two getting older as the book goes on. I absolutely loved the alternating chapters, and getting to see Kieran and Sylvia growing. They had such a beautiful connection that was ever-evolving as the story progressed. I also loved how the story built up to the ending and the two coming together, the development was slow but so worth it in the end. I do have to say that I knocked down a whole star because of the big reveal towards the end of the book. I was so frustrated and confused when we found out why they stopped being friends; if they had just communicated with each other everything would have worked out. Overall, Call You Mine is a very sweet and cozy holiday read that showcases such a beautiful connection between two childhood best friends; it was lovely to see how they grew for each other and themselves.

Thank you to Kendra Mase and Netgalley for the ebook ARC!

This is my third book of Kendra’s, and I adored it so much. It’s got a holiday vibe in a small town setting, which I love. It also has a second chance/friends to lovers trope along with its dual timelines. We know there was a falling out, but until the past is shown, we don’t know why. I enjoy timelines that do this; you know something big is coming, so you’re bracing yourself for it all the while.

I very much believe in soulmates, and Kieran and Sylvia are definitely soulmates. I love them so much.

This book is sweet, romantic, fun, and both heartbreaking and heartwarming. It’ll make you want to cozy up with a blanket, fire, and some baked goods.

This book was so cute! Second chance is always my favorite trope. I love how Kendra Mase writes and I’m so happy this was my first ARC. Thank you NetGalley and Victory Editing!

I think Sylvia was a very relatable character and it was so realistic that she was so unsure of how her future looked in high school because we all are expected to have our lives planned out so young and 9 times out of 10, it doesn’t happen like that.

I loved Sylvia and Kieran’s friendship and how they cared about each other. It such a cute read so I hated that I was in a slump already before reading it bc I feel like I could’ve gotten into it more and would have read it faster.

I love how the present and past perspectives were done. When I would get to the past chapters I would be so eager to get back to the present, but then I got to the present, the past chapter would leave off on a cliff hanger almost and I was dying to go back! You should definitely pick this up if you love second chance, soulmates, and best friends to strangers to lovers. I loved the cozy holiday vibe and I can see myself rereading this December

Call You Mine is a childhood friend-to-lovers romance set in small town and during the Holidays.

After being fired from her dream job in New York and catching her boyfriend cheating on her, Sylvia had nowhere else to go but home, back to Marshall Falls. It had been years since she last visited and she isn't quite sure she is ready to face Kieran again.

Firstly, thank you so much to Kendra Mase and Netgalley for giving a copy of the book in exchange of an honest review.

The book read like Christina Lauren's "Love and Other Words" which I loved! The back and forth of the timeline was paced really well and made the story more compelling. The friendship between Sylvia and Kieran was very heartfelt and it was such a natural progression for feelings to develop. The story was captivating and you attention-grabbing. It was written in way that you NEED to know what happened!

The thing though is that the night that everything changed, once you finally find out, made the whole thing FRUSTRATING!!! It made not want to ship Sylvia and Kieran. I really did enjoy this book and I really want to give this book a higher rating but I found a part of the book extremely problematic. This is just my personal opinion.

Thank you to NetGalley and Kendra Mase for the wonderful opportunity to read and review this arc. This was a sweet second chance and friends to lovers romance with a dash of holiday ambience. I recommend if you love these trousers and coming to age stories in your late twenties. Kieran is such a sweetheart.

Childhood friends to lovers and second chance romance? Count me in. Kendra Rose's, Call You Mine, is a now and then timeline following Sylvia and Kieran through their childhood and up to their young adult life. When they notice they're feelings for each other they embark on a relationship, but unfortunately dreams and fears cause conflict and get in the way of a lasting relationship.

Kieran and Sylvia were just darlings in this book, they are literally soulmates. They really just needed to communicate with each other more, to figure out how to adapt their goals to work together. Kieran's commitment to his and Sylvia's friendship was so cute.

I really enjoyed the "now" timeline, seeing them reamend their relationship- working through what happened. It was calming to see them relearn eachother as adults, to see if pursuing a relationship with one another is more important than another dreams. The "past" timeline wasn't as fun for me, it seemed pretty repetitive. But towards the end we see what really happened that split them completely apart, and lets just say its quite the plot twist.

Overall this small town romance and the holiday vibes made for a cozy read. This was very easy to get through. Thank you to NetGalley and Kendra Rose for providing me with this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
