This is an interesting premise for a romance. When her best friend gets engaged, she's immediately jealous and wishes it were her he was going to marry. In a half-baked plan, she contacts her best friend's fiancé's ex and convinces him to help her break them up, only for them to end up together.

I had never read a Sophie Andrews book before and wow, this was a good one! I love the movie “My Best Friend’s Wedding” and this book definitely had those vibes. Plus, I wasn’t crazy about the ending of that movie but I loved the ending of this book. I loved this book from start to finish. I didn’t want to put it down when I had to.

Tilly is in love with her best friend but nobody knows it but her. When he unexpectedly announces his engagement to someone else, Tilly decides she will do everything in her power to break them up, even if that means getting the girl’s ex-boyfriend involved...

I absolutely loved this story. I hope there’s a sequel!!!

This book has the vibe of the movie "My Best Friend's Wedding." It was a really entertaining book where I wanted to know more about the main characters, and I was rooting for them since the first chapter!

I was not able to finish the book and therefore do not feel that I can give an unbiased review about the book, its plot, characters, or the author's work. I might revisit this book at a later time and finish it then, but not right now.

Everyone knows the stereotype of the girl best friend being in love with her guy best friend.
But Sophie takes us down a path of understanding the unrequited love and brings to us a deep and involved story that brings in not only their stories but the beautiful stories of each character she introduces. I also loved the inclusivity among the characters and the real issues presented and faced as the characters grew and evolved. Many stories such as these have you kind of wishing for the downfall of a villain but in this story everyone has a chance to grow and evolve.

I could not put this down, it was such a fun and fast paced read! And for my spice lovers
🌶🌶🌶🌶 for sure. Definetly need to snag this one if you love spice with an amazing plot.
She deserves every one of the five stars. I can't wait to read more of her work!

I loved how this tough guy changes into some puddle of sweat whenever he’s around the heroine. I loved how easily they seemed to understand and vibe with each other.

This book got me hooked on Sophie Andrew’s writing. I loved reading this, though I think Tilly’s plan was a bit unhinged. I honestly didn’t understand why she was in love with her best friend whom I didn’t like at all. And I couldn’t believe that anyone could think about Zack as not jackpot-material. Both Tilly and Zack were undervalued, but when they met, somehow world order had been restored, they were perfect for each other. And I was glad they didn’t give up on that when it could have happened.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me a copy of the book.

I'm not typically a fan of instalove but I have to say this book was fantastic. As a people pleaser myself, this book was someone relatable. I enjoyed the chemistry the author wrote between everyone, I felt if this was a movie, it would be seeable if that makes sense. I will definitely be looking forward to the other items she writes.

This book got glowing reviews and I wanted to like it but the characters were awful. You claim to be someone's best friend but spoil their wedding. She is almost 30 and her jealousy and need for attention ruined the book. Tyler and Zack should've run and never looked back not Tyler deciding to be friends with her and Zack jumping into a relationship with her when they both were trying to get back together with other people literally for 90% of the book.

Sophie Andrews had me at the plot device of a woman in love with her best friend and wanting to break up his wedding. She locked my love of this book in by creating wonderful characters like Tilly and Zack that made it easy to become invested in their story.

I have always been a fan of the movie My Best Friend's Wedding and this book seemed like it would be similar to that. I guess in a way it was but yet it was quite different. The way the characters were developed in this book really took on a life of it's own. Not only were Tilly and Zack very fleshed out and likable. Tilly's best friend, Tyler and his fiancé, Sarah were also pivotal to how this story played out. In addition, the author gave this story a life of its own. It didn't follow any particular standard plot layout. It was original and had a fresh feel to it.

I really loved the storyline and characters and look forward to reading more from Sophie Andrews.

"Nice. That word. I hated it. Women always had to be nice, but what if we didn't want to be? I certainly didn't want to be nice. I wanted to be strong and smart and bold. Nice was for the weather and comfy sweaters, not descriptions of women."

This was my first time reading a Sophie Andrews novel, and she has now been added to my "must-read" list.

Tilly's been best friends with Tyler her whole life and has possibly been in love with him the whole time. So when he suddenly tells her that he's about to marry someone after a few months, she makes it her mission to team up with the bride's ex-boyfriend, Zack, to break them up. Unfortunately, Tilly hadn't planned on ending up with feelings for Zack, so she's no longer sure how this will play out.

Tilly starts out as an extremely unlikeable character, but as the story progresses, her layers unravel, and she quickly turns into someone you want to cheer for. The dynamic between her and Zack is fantastic, and the humour shows through so well. I loved how this story played out so much that I found I couldn't put it down. I can't wait to read more from this author.

Such a great book! I like that all the characters were morally grey. Seeing how they manage to go through all those grey areas was quite funny. I love your way of writing and I would love to read more of your books.
