Reading this book felt like watching My Best Friend’s Wedding all over again. It was so heartwarming and endearing. The plot was sooooo enjoyable and I couldn’t put the book down. I finished it in a day! The book follows Tilly and Zack. Tilly has been in love with her best friend, Tyler, since forever and now he’s engaged to be married… Tilly plots to make her best friend’s fiancée get back with her ex, Zack. While all the scheming, Tilly and Zack get to know each other and grow closer. Overall the book had good character development and depth. It was entertaining and also kinda emotional. Definitely will be reading more from this author🩷

Inspired by the classic Julia Roberts rom-com, “My Best Friend’s Wedding,” this book was everything you expected it to be. I especially loved the fluff, it was more wistful and romantic than I thought it would be. In the beginning of the book you’d feel empathetic with Tilly’s feelings about her (childhood) best friend, Tyler. Well, at least I did; my favourite trope is friends to lovers and the flashbacks of Tilly and Tyler’s relationship also got me wanting to ruin Tyler’s wedding. I’m biased okay 😭. Anyways, this book did a good job of convincing me that Tilly and Tyler were never meant to be together romantically. After meeting Zack and learning how he’s actually a big romantic (inside) as well… yah, I’m changing teams. Team Zack all the way. I just wished we had his POV too. I loved the bonus scene with his POV, and it got me wishing this book should’ve been a dual POV. While I loved Tilly and Tyler’s relationship (at least at first), I appreciated how we saw their *real* relationship behind Tilly’s rose coloured glasses. And I also likes that their relationship didn’t go back to normal after the whole wedding fiasco, because let’s be real, you can’t really go back to your old relationship after that.

This is the first book I have read by Sophie Andrews, I can’t wait to read more. This book was everything I love in a book and more. Tilly and Tyler are best friends until Tyler meets Sarah and falls in love. Tilly thinks she’s in love with Tyler until she meets Zack, Sarah’s ex, I got totally lost in the book and didn’t want it to end.

How to Ruin a Wedding is like My Best Friend's Wedding only better. The novel follows Tilly, who is determined to break up the wedding of her best friend, Tyler, by encouraging Tyler's fiance to reunite with her ex-boyfriend Zack. As Tilly and Zack get to know each other, Tilly learns a lot about herself and what she wants. Overall, a fun book!

Tilly and Zack meet when she finds out her best friend is getting married. She always thought she would be the one he settled down with, so sets out to stop the wedding, with the reluctant help of Zack, the ex boyfriend of the bride. Will she realise her feeling are changing and find the right man before it is too late. A great read, and I liked the epilogue from Zack's point of view.

This was such a cute rom-com! Lovable characters with really cute chemistry & a little bit of spice makes this book perfect! Not to mention, you can’t go wrong with a dedication to Julia Roberts & a book inspired by the movie My Best Friends Wedding. This is the first book I’ve read by Sophie Andrews & I don’t think it’ll be my last. While this book was slightly predictable I’m definitely not mad about it because of how much I loved it. If you do decide to pick this one up, don’t forget to subscribe to the authors newsletter because you get a bonus chapter in a different POV, which made me love it that much more!

This was a cute story from Sophie Andrews. I hadn't ready any of her work before so I wasn't sure if I'd like her writing style. I did, very much. I thought it was well written and the characters were likeable. I really enjoyed this one.

'Alive Like Fire'...it's gonna be my new life motto 😎

- The first thing I liked about Tilly was her confidence, smartness and being 'right as usual!' The 2nd one is basically I liked everything of her except the part 'how to ruin a wedding'. (Ultimately, I have fallen head over heels for her!) To match such energy as hers, it had to be someone like Zack!
- Tyler never earned a like from me since he was so selfish throughout the book and his POVs ( I found kinda disgusting) never matched mine. Sarah was sweet but she needs therapy since she doesn't know what exactly she wants.
- Tilly's parents were my favorite. They were really supportive and got the back of their daughter no matter what.

Ok, I'm gonna go dig more books from the author.

How To Ruin A Wedding written by Sophie Andrews was so cute, but at the same time so heart breaking. There's absolutely NOTHING I would change about this book, I just loved it so much. I have never read a book by Sophie Andrews before, but after devouring this one, I will definitely read ANYTHING she writes. From the cover to the lovely characters, it was like I had hearts coming out of my eyes. How To Ruin A Wedding will have you laughing, crying, and swooning all on one page. The banter was just *chefs kiss*, it was hilarious, it was raw, it was relatable, it was adorable. Sophie Andrews creates characters that are just so real and relatable, you can't help but cheer them on. The spice in this book was just top tier, it wasn't too much, it was just the right amount. Reading and crying over a rom-com is possibly everything I could ever want. How To Ruin A Wedding deserves all the stars for making me swoon, laugh, cry, and smile all at once. This is the perfect book to read while crying and eating a container of cookie dough. The heart breaking moments just ruined me. If you are looking for a sizzling, swoon worthy rom-com, then pick up How To Ruin A Wedding by Sophie Andrews.

Ladies, if you were in love with your best friend, and he was marrying someone he met just three weeks ago, would you ruin his wedding?

If you are going to read this book, there's three things to know about Tilly Mahoney:
-She's a liar.
-She thinks she's in love with her best friend.
-She's got a plan to ruin his wedding.

Tilly and Tyler have been through it all. They have been best friends since childhood. Tilly and Tyler have shared everything from kisses, cuddles, dates, and slow dances, but most importantly they have been each other's family. Tilly is secretly in love with her best friend, but has never voiced that to Tyler, she thought he felt the same exact way for her, but apparently Tyler has been too blind to see what's been in front of him for so long. For decades, Tyler has always been Tilly's support system, and Tilly has always been Tyler's right hand gal, and now he's engaged to someone else? NOT ON TILLY'S WATCH BABY!!!!!! Everyone assumed that Tyler and Tilly would eventually get married because they have been inseparable. But now, Tyler is engaged to someone he met just three weeks ago. At first, I thought I loved Tyler, but boy was I wrong. Every time he brought a girl to bed and dumped her afterwards or it didn't work out between them, he would run back to Tilly, it was like Tilly was just Tyler's second choice ALL THE DAMN TIME and it truly broke my heart. I absolutely adored Tilly, she was just a sweetheart, and willing to drop everything just to help her best friend or her family.

Tyler and Sarah met at Sarah's sisters bachelor party. and Tyler felt like it was love at first sight. "Hey, want to help me break up a wedding?" is a dubious start to an unlikely friendship, but Sarah's ex boyfriend, Zack, is the perfect partner in crime for Tilly's misguided plan to ruin Tyler and Sarah's wedding. Zack is grumpy, and works all the time, but on the inside he's a squishy marshmallow, don't let him fool you, he's insanely perfect. Zack is clearly desperate to win back the love of his life, and Tilly is all too willing to help Zack win back Sarah if it'll help break up the happy couple, Tyler and Sarah. Tyler and Sarah are the complete opposite, Sarah is so sunshiney and Tyler is just an asshole after treating Tilly the way he has been. As Tilly and Zack work together to interfere with the wedding, the closer they get to each other. As Tilly and Zack spend time together, the more confusing Tilly's feelings become. Zack cracks Tilly's walls down and only saves his smiles for her. Ugh, Zack was just so perfect. Zack soon let's go of his feelings for Sarah, and only has his eyes set on Tilly. How could you marry someone you just met three weeks ago over someone who has ALWAYS been your right hand gal?

Okay, hear me out. I really liked some aspects and then struggled with others.
The characters were fun, loved the banter and watching the two MC's fall in love. BUT man, did I struggle with the lying aspect. I had a hard time connecting with their feelings as genuine when they were doing something so shady. Idk, still a fun read! Definitely a 'it's me, not you" issue.

Tilly's best friend Tyler is getting married, Tilly should be happy for him, but unfortunately she cannot because she is in love with him, or so she thinks. A story of self-reflection, and choosing what's best for you and not what feels safe, this book is a great read.

Super nice and entertaining novel. Loved this rom com. And the writing was easy to follow. Really enjoyed.

Oh geez, this was such a fun read. I wasn't really expecting too much from it, given that romance follows such a predictable formula, but I thoroughly enjoyed every page of it. Tilly the main character can be a little exasperating, but watching her realise that what she thought she wanted wasn't right for her after all, and then learning to face her fears head on, was sweet.

After her best friend falls head over heels for someone he's just met (and never giving her a second glance as a potential partner), she decides that instead of being his best woman, she's going to sabotage the wedding and make him see that she's really the one for him. Instead, she slowly falls for her partner in crime (also her best friend's fiancee's ex-boyfriend) and ends up kind of becoming friends with the fiancee, and even though she might be right that they're wrong for each other, it takes her some time to realise she's going about things in the wrong way.

I found this book to be a very easy contemporary read. It’s relatively short and the storyline was a little bit predictable while still being entertaining. I did enjoy Tilly and her parents as characters but some of the side characters did annoy me a little bit.

Overall, it was a quick and fun read.

This was an amazing read.

A wedding with shenanigans that leads to a romantic love story to swoon for.

Tilly has been in love with her best friend forever.

When he suddenly announces that he is getting married to someone he met 3 weeks prior.

She is set on ruining the wedding. Therefor she inlists the help of Zack the brides ex.

Along the journey where she tries to ruin Tyler and Sarah's wedding you see that she is a really is a people pleaser.

That is when Zack makes her realise what is going on around her.

The book was well written and edited with a good amount of spice, angst and built characters. One star down for the single POV and the premise was not my favourite to begin with. Spend an entire lifetime thinking you are in love with someone, see them happy with someone else and then try to sabotage that? Halfway through — realize that your co-sabotage-er is actually who you are in long with. Hmm…
Good quick read with quirky characters, decent banter and a well enough character arc.

Thank you Net Galley for an ARC of this title; all options expressed are my own.

This was inspired My Best Friend's Wedding, and it didn't shy away from how horrible it is to try to sabotage someone's relationship. I liked how she resolved it, felt real and no one got away with being a jerk, BUIt it's still pretty hard to root for someone.
