This turned out to be a fun, action-packed read with great friendships and even a bit of romance. I was leery at first because I'm not into demons, etc. It turns there wasn't really the religious bible thumping I thought there might be. I didn't read the first book in the series but I could easily follow along and I will be looking for the first one soon.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest opinion.
I absolutely loved this book and I loved it even more at the end! I cannot wait for the next book!! There is going to be such an epic showdown!! Loved the talking cat, it is such a great witchy addition. Alex and Blake are such great characters! Please hurry with book 3, this is such a great series.
I just reviewed Castles & Cauldrons by Tammy Tyree. #CastlesCauldrons #NetGalley

If you enjoy books featuring talking cats , witches , possessed nuns ,demons, with romantic overtones then this is the book for you .
Alexandra , High Priestess of the underground witches , is searching for her missing friend Penny . Can she enlist the aid of Deputy Sherriff , Blake Sheraton whose sworn duty is to uphold the Law against witchcraft , and avoid being burnt on the pyre ?
With such diverse , entertaining characters , where loyalty and friendship are tested we are led to a HEA that made me simply smile .
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own
I found parts of this book hard to take. That the whole world passed laws making witches and witchcraft illegal and punishable by burning just because a woman spurned a single man. That they were still burning people. And giving the witches powers to the man who caught them, does that make the man a witch? Then in a twist made a witch their queen? I also wasn’t happy that it ended in a cliffhanger. #Castles&Cauldrons #NetGalley
A talking cat? Yes, please! Anything witches will always be a win for me but especially if it’s in a well developed series. The budding romance between Alex and Blake is interesting and done well. Possessed nuns? Crazy! The second book was just different enough from the first to get you very excited for book 3.
I was extremely excited to get the second book in this series and it didn’t disappoint. If you want a book that’s nonstop humor and action, this is the one for you. Castles and Cauldrons kept me engaged the entire time, I had to find out what was happening next.
You are once again introduced to Alexandra, who is now High Priestess of the underground witch population, she suspects her best friend Penny (fellow witch) has been kidnapped. She has to enlist the help of Blake Sheraton, Sheriff Deputy, a man who has sworn the uphold the law against witchcraft.
You are taken on a ride full of love, friendship, and of course demons, will loyalty and friendship be able to overcome the laws of man? I highly recommend this book. It’s a funny, well written paranormal novel.
Enjoy this captivating read with lots of wonderful characters, a storyline which is intriguing and keep you guessing with a HEA that will touch your heart!.
Well, I just finished, and I don’t know where to start. Everything in the book was very interesting until the end, and then BAM, everything got shockingly interesting. I love the relationship between Alex, Teddy, and Penny; they are such a close-knit group. I was and am still a little leery of Blake, but he is really growing on me even if I think he’s not as savvy as he should be. LOL! This is a great installment in the series, and I’m pumped to see what is going to come next. Highly recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.
