Lucy Score somehow remains on top of my favorite authors with this Christmas romance. If you're looking for something to get you into the spirit this is the book for the job. You'll giggle, swoon, gasp, and everything in between. The Christmas Fix is sure to fix your holiday blues.

This copy was kindly given to me by Netgalley and Publisher for review. All opinions are my own.
Lucy Score is steadily growing to an auto read author for me. I admit that I read this duology out of order (oops, lol.) and you can truthfully read out of order and not be confused. I am a little addicted to HGTV reno show and this series kicked that love back into gear, lol. Of course at times I wished the main characters would just talk to each other but that is a trope that I get works; overall, steamy, fun novel that I would totally recommend

A cute and spicy Christmas romance! Add this to your shelf for the holidays! Lucy Score always delivers on the heat and romance!

Another great Lucy Score hit! I love the premise of this book - a town has been hit by a hurricane and the heroine, who has a fix it up show, wants to help clean and fix it up, but the hero (mayor of the town) doesn't want her to exploit the process for her tv show. A battle of the wills begins - and the fun starts! AND there is a time crunch. Everything needs to happen before Christmas Eve (the hurricane happened right before Halloween) for the town's famous celebration. To throw in another bump - the hero has a tween daughter, a sassy tween daughter. So that is one more thing for him to worry about, that and his daughter's hero worship of the heroine. There are great secondary characters that really propel the story forward. I laughed and I cried and immediately started reading it again. Highly recommend!

Lucy Score tends to be a hit or miss for me, and honestly, I'm starting to wish it was more consistent. This one was neither a hit nor miss for me. It was a steamy enemy to lovers romance that I'm not mad about reading, but definitely won't pick up again.
Let's start with our queen Catalina King. She is strong, independent, and honestly an inspiration especially to Noah's daughter. She works extremely hard (#hustleculture is strong here), but its all for the right reasons. She wants to save Merry so they can have an amazing holiday. She wants to build her own school so women can learn trade skills like construction. I loved that she was so passionate about that. She was beautiful, but not a reality barbie. She was real and authentic.
Noah on the other hand, I really disliked in the beginning. He made awful assumptions about her and was quite annoying. Cat really carried the first 30-40% of the book on her shoulders because I couldn't get past Noah. Then when you realized how stressed he was about the town and the holiday due to his own background, you find him to be a real softie (everywhere except the bedroom or in the alleyways apparently).
I think this book had a lot going for it, but honestly I wish there was more to the actual storyline then just their infatuation growing. I want to hear about the construction and how they brought a gold tree in without anyone realizing it for the big reveal. I want to hear the details on her building the school and the first classes instead of an epilogue that was three years in the future and just skimmed over. Did they renovate the high school? Did they leave it? I just expected a bit more construction and design from a book about a renovation show rebuilding a town. These were important ventures for our characters and damnit I need answers.
Honestly, I think I do want to read the first book though, only because Paige seemed like such a sweetheart and Gannon....well he's Gannon.

If I need a romance that will make me laugh and I will love every character in it, I know Lucy will be the girl I need. Her main characters are always great and her secondary characters are what I always need in a story. She will make you laugh and all love the characters in her stories.

A spicy little holiday book! I love Lucy Score and her writing.
Is this a Knockemout story? No. But is it enjoyable, fun, and witty? Of course it is!
Highly recommend for the next holiday season or a Christmas in July read!

This was a cute and quick read from Lucy Score that is great to get you into the holiday spirit. Cat was a super fun character to read about but Noah was a little annoying to the point where the “grumpy” character trope ended up him being just a jerk. However, it is enemies-to-lovers so it does have a happy ending and it gives all the feels for Christmas time without being too overbearing on holiday themes.

A fun, steamy Christmas romance. I didn't read the previous novel to this one but I honestly didn't feel like that took away from the amount that I enjoyed this one! Definitely would recommend for a quick holiday read.

thank you to netgalley for the advanced reading copy. I really enjoyed this and will be getting copies for my shop.

I love Christmas romances, especially when they're out of season and this one was so fun! The shenanigans were so fun and I loved the two lead's interactions. It was tension filled and their chemistry was working for me.
One thing about me is that I'll eat up a single dad romance every time and it was such a good time.
There were a couple of things that didn't totally work for me but overall such a good holiday romcom!
Thank you Sourcebooks/Bloom Books and NetGalley for the ARC.

This is Cat and Noah's story and it is a mrs.fixer upper vs hometown single dad enemies to lovers Holiday Rom-Com. I LOVED IT! I want more like this!! Love Lucy Score!!! That dining room table scene! Hot!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! Receiving an advanced copy was a delightful surprise. I believe both existing fans and newcomers will find it equally enjoyable.

A Lucy score signature full of charming + tender moments with the perfect amount of spice! I’m not always the biggest fan of Christmas romance books but this was so fun and I found myself giggling and blushing the whole way through! If there’s one thing about me it’s that I will always gobble up a rivals to lovers books and this hit the spot! This wasn’t overly cheesy which I appreciated and all the characters were so enjoyable!!

“You’re the color in a gray day. I don’t know how else to describe it. I look at you, and I see all this passion and joy and fun and excitement. I’ve never met anyone like you.”

“…the point of working hard isn’t really getting people to notice how hard you work. It’s about giving it your all and being able to walk away with no regrets. Doing a good job shouldn’t be so someone else tells you that you did good. It should be about you feeling good about your effort.”
“There’s no life-work balance. Okay? Get it? It’s all life. You get the same twenty-four hours as the next girl. Fill yours with what you love.”
The Christmas Fix was a fun banter-filled romcom set in a small town called Merry, Connecticut. After the tragic aftermath of a hurricane, filling the streets with water and destruction, the town of Merry is devastated that they will not be able to celebrate their yearly Christmas traditions. There is a lot of pressure on Noah, the town manager, to bring back the spirit and rebuild in time to not suffer economically.
Catalina, a home renovation expert comes into the picture in her pursuit of helping to save the town. She uses the opportunity to record and rebuild and there is nothing to get in her way, not even Noah and his stubborn head. Entering into an agreement, the two begin connecting over the Christmas spirit and newfound feelings. Love the banter between these two!
An easy and super entertaining read!

Enemies to lovers contemporary romance, set in a small town recently devastated by weather bad enough to be considered a disaster and cancel the usual holiday festivities. Then, TV star and renovation expert Catalina King breezes into town to save the day. Some steamy romance ensues about halfway into the book. It all ends in a HEA.

By the time this review posts, it'll be wayyyyy beyond the Christmas season; the beauty of this novel, however, is that it doesn't need to be Christmas for you to enjoy it. The story of Cat and Noah is a tale as old as time--mortal enemies (because they don't really know anything about each other) who will eventually find out that they're both as good as people think they are. They'll begrudgingly give the other the trust and accolades that they deserve and as they get to know each other, love will soon follow.
The Christmas Fix was a fun one. Cat is the hot, hardworking renovation reality tv star with a heart of gold (hiding behind her snark) and Noah is the hot, hardworking city manager also with a heart of gold (hiding behind his trust and control issues). Together they'll make you laugh and feel good at their happily ever after.
Fun, quick read.

This was a very cute book. I would almost call it a Hallmark story in book form. A very easy read that I really enjoyed!

An adorable and sweet holiday romance filled with a grumpy mmc, and sweet and caring fmc, a charming small-town, and a swoon-worthy plot to tie it all together.

I didn’t know I needed a single-dad Christmas romance until I read The Christmas Fix. This book had everything we love about Lucy’s storytelling: witty banter, grumpy vs sunshine banter, a small town that considers everyone family, cute and sassy girls, and a strong FMC.
Cat and Noah didn’t start their relationship on good terms but as the story evolved the sparks were flying and the chemistry was undeniable. I loved how (eventually) they communicated honestly about their expectations and feelings, there was no 3rd act break up, just two adults realizing that life is better when they have each other. Unlike some of her other books, I found the characters here very mature, nothing icky about how they acted, besides a bit of bickering.
