This book definitely had the Christmas vibes that we all crave in a holiday romance, and it had the enemies to lovers vibes I usually devour, but I truly had a rollercoaster of a time reading this book. There were times when I felt invested, but majority of the time I had to force myself to pick the book back up. This is why I struggled to review this one, but ended up at a 3 star.

Genre/tropes: enemies-to-lovers, small town, single dad, found family
The holiday blues can only be charmed by this treasure of a book!
The town of Merry is devastated after a hurricane, and the town manager, Noah is facing one heck of a mess to clean up. Merry is known for its holiday spirit and festivities, and the storm happening so close to the holiday season has put their livelihoods in jeopardy. Enter Cat, kickass reality tv star, and expert home renovator. Cat has ties to Merry, and wants to use her clout and tv show to help rebuild the town. Noah frowns upon reality tv, and is protective of his town. He doesn’t trust Cat’s motives, and declines her help. Several times. Cat doesn’t give up easily, and it’s a battle of wits and grit between these two.
The banter was superb right off the bat! Cat and Noah butted heads, antagonized each other, threw zingers, always wanted the last word. I enjoyed their verbal volleys as much as they did! It was fun to see their annoyance turn to attraction as much as they tried not to succumb to it. They both have misconceptions about the other that eventually give way to mutual respect. The tight-knit small town vibe is so sweet, too.
Read this for the magic of the holiday spirit, the solidarity of community uplifting one another, and for the sizzling chemistry between the MCs. Merry helped uplift my holiday spirit!
Thanks to @netgalley & @read_bloom for my copy. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗮𝘀 𝗙𝗶𝘅 is out now.

This was soo cute! Lucy Score is the queen of spicy fun romance reads. It was the perfect holiday read with Lucy's signature witt and charm. She just gets romance.

Lucy Score is an auto read author for me, and this one was no exception! It had all the classic Lucy things in it. Swoon, spice, and fun characters. I tell everyone, if they’re wanting a holiday romance, pick this one!

I was intrigued by the plot of this story and was excited to read it. In the past I have really enjoyed Lucy Score's books, but this one really fell flat for me. So much so that I couldn't even finish it.
The female main character was, frankly, unlikable. She seemed really shallow and was obsessed with how she looked. The male main character was no better. I gave up because I realized I didn't care whether they got together or if the problem was solved.
DNF at around 50%

I LOVE THIS NEW COVER!!
This has become an absolute favorite Christmas romance of mine!
I absolutely love love loved it! Also, it’s enemies to lovers, which just made it even more chefs kiss for me.
Ahh.. so good’

I really didn’t like the first book of this series so I don’t know what possessed me to continue the series. I thought maybe it would get better. I’ve liked books by Lucy Score before so I thought maybe the one before was a flop. And then I read this one and decided that it’s the series. I also believe these books were written a few years ago and the ARC copy I received was just a new cover. I’m not sure exactly what was different from the copy I got and the already-published one.
However, I didn’t like this one either. I didn’t really like Catalina from the first book and the fact that this whole book was about her should’ve deterred me. She just comes off as self-absorbed and shallow. She cares a lot about her fame and just wasn’t that very interesting of a character. I stopped this book before I got too far into it so it definitely could’ve gotten better throughout the book but I wouldn’t recommend it.

I know this review is a little bit late, however, I am so very lucky that I was allowed to read this book! As others mention this is the spicy hallmark Christmas movie plot of our dreams. Enemies to lovers check small town romance check cute as heck side characters, check. It ticks all the boxes! If this could be made into a film I’d be elated. Lucy is an excellent writer with the perfect amount of detail and character development. She always delivers a fantastic read. Do yourself a favor and holidays or not, pick up this book!

This was a cute holiday read! Spicy, Hallmark channel vibes for sure. When a reality star/home renovator returns to a small town to help rebuild it after a hurricane, she is welcomed by (almost) everyone. Enemies to lovers, steamy romance, single dad trope. I didn't connect with the characters as much as I would have liked, but overall I enjoyed the book!

Thank you for this ARC, I loved this story! I’m a big fan of Christmas Romance and this is exactly what I needed this holiday season!

This one follows Cat and Noah, where Cat is the head of a renovation show who happens to want to fix a little town - one that Noah happens to be the town manager (and very grumpy, and untrusting when it comes to Cat and her show’s intentions).
Because of that, we get that enemies to lovers vibes and it’s something that just always make the world go round (ya know, when they finally get the stick out of their ass and finally recognize what they have together). It’s written very well, and it doesn’t give me that usual “ugh, can you just skip through this part?” because it was executed nicely.
Can Noah and Cat work together in order to get the town ready for their huge Christmas event after all the flooding they’ve seen?

I haven’t read many Lucy Score books, but I’m about to change that. This was such a wonderful holiday read. The perfect book if you are looking for a holiday romance. Really enjoyed this one and now I’m off to add more of her books to my library:)

Enemies to Lovers meets Hallmark Christmas Movie?! Immediate Yes. Great banter between the two main characters and a quick easy read!
When Catalina King returns to Merry, hoping to save Christmas after a devastating flood, she does not expect to clash with single dad and town manager Noah Yates. Can Noah overcome his 'Mr. No' reputation? Can Catalina pull off all the renovations in time for the town's annual Christmas festival? Can they both set aside their animosity to pull off a Christmas miracle for their town? You'll have to read and find out!
Thanks to NetGalley, Bloom Books, and Lucy Score for allowing me access to this book. All opinions are my own.

Such a great read!
Hallmark Christmas movie vibe, but of course WAY BETTER. Can we get this in a movie?
Cat and Noah were definitely likable characters and the small town setting was perfect. Loved the spice and the banter. Would totally recommend!

What a wonderful holiday book!! I love Lucy Score and as soon as I saw she had a Christmas book I knew I needed it . This book was everything I could have asked for and more. I loved the story and the great characters. It was such a great book for the holiday season or really any time of the year. She is for sure an auto read for me.

As this is my first Lucy Score book I had high expectations for the story given it's a holiday book and I've heard such great things about her writing and other books. I was excited for this one because I love a story that focuses on home renovations and gives off all the HGTV vibes. Unfortunately I didn't enjoy the story as much as I would have liked. I really didn't like the MMC at all. Normally they seem to redeem themselves by the end of the story for me but Noah had me disliking him throughout the entire story. I also think I may have just been overloaded on holiday books when I read this one that perhaps if I paused and picked the book back up at a later time I would have enjoyed it more. It was alright but there were other holiday books that I enjoyed a lot more.

In Lucy Score do we trust! Another fun book by her. Perfect for the holiday season without being too over the top. It was a perfect balance of romance and humor. I think my favorite part is that it read like a movie and I could tryly picture everything so clearly in my head.

This was one of the best books I read in 2023. It was the perfect way to get me into the holiday season.
The plot was amazing. Everything made sense and it all connected perfectly. One of my notes from reading this was “these are some of my favorite conflicts and conversations”. Definite reread material.
Cat and Noah had such amazing chemistry! The dynamic of control freak vs. town mayor was so fun to watch. They complemented each other so unexpectedly well.
I don’t think I have ever read a bad Lucy Score book. Great execution all around. I will definitely be reading this again.

This was the cutest holiday read! I enjoyed the ending so much. My only issue was how slow the beginning of the book was, but after that the story picks up and I enjoyed it 😊

The Christmas Fix is the perfect holiday romance for any lover of HGTV. Mixing the Christmas time with a reality home improvement show and a small town with a grumpy mayor is the perfect recipe for a holiday romance. This novel's tropes don't end there as our Mayor is also a single dad and the Mayor and Reality star have met before in their past. Lucy Score's writing is easily engaging, her characters are well rounded, and the situations in the story are charming and fun.
If you love a Hallmark Channel Holiday movie but always wish their was more steam and tension, then look no further than The Christmas Fix. It is a delicious read perfect to put you in the holiday spirit!
