Thank you to Net Galley and the publisher for an advanced reader's copy of the re-release of Mr. Fixer Upper, the first book in the King Siblings Fixer series by Lucy Score. The original book was released in 2017 so while the actual story isn't new, it was new to me because I hadn't read it before now. It's another book where I feel that Lucy Score knocked it out of the park.

I am not a person who watches reality TV, I mean, I don't watch very much TV at all, but I have watched enough reality TV to have followed the storyline. The story of Gannon and Paige, a perfect enemy to lovers (to enemy to lovers?) story that kept me thoroughly entertained from the moment I picked up the book. I loved the sexual tension throughout the story and the banter between the two characters. On to the sequel I go!

I loved Mr Fixer Upper. Home renovation books are sometimes not my jam. This moved quickly, didn't focus too closely on the construction and paid more attention to the romance and hooked me from the beginning. I liked Gannon so much. I was hesitant to like either of them, but ended up loving him and then loved watching her grow through her issues and internal narrative to accept his love for her. The side characters were great. Score does humor so well. I am very excited for Cat's book.

Mr. Fixer Upper is set amidst the tumultuous world of reality television, where gruff home renovation star Gannon and the determined field producer Paige lock horns in a constant battle of wills. With a well-crafted narrative that delves into their sizzling on-screen chemistry and off-screen tension, the novel keeps readers hooked from start to finish.

One of the book's strengths lies in its skillful portrayal of Paige's unwavering dedication to her documentary aspirations, a refreshing departure from conventional romance narratives. Her ambition adds depth to the storyline, presenting readers with a strong-willed protagonist whose goals extend beyond the confines of her burgeoning romance.

The portrayal of the reality TV setting serves as an intriguing backdrop, allowing the author to expertly explore the challenges and complexities of filming under pressure. The narrative effortlessly weaves together the excitement of home renovation projects with the intricacies of on-set drama, providing readers with an immersive experience.

While delivering a satisfying dose of steamy romance, the narrative also delves into themes of trust, ambition, and the intricacies of navigating personal and professional boundaries. Mr. Fixer Upper proves to be an engaging and well-rounded read, offering a tantalizing blend of passion, drama, and the pursuit of personal and professional fulfillment.

Lucy Score does it again! As a fan of Lucy Score, I was excited to read this book.

Gannon and Paige's relationship throughout the entire book keeps the reader engaged. Their strong personalities and ability to work together while trying to have a relationship create moments of humor and heartache. The steamy scenes (especially in the shower) are perfect.

The author's integration of Paige's fight to expose women's treatment in the industry into the storyline helped to keep the reader interested in more than just Gannon and Paige's romatic relationship.

I can't wait to read her next book!

Don’t let the cute cover fool you, this book has some heat! I really enjoyed meeting Paige and the King siblings. The behind the scenes on the Kings’ renovation show was a lot of fun. Paige and Gannon had great chemistry and I liked that Gannon had some depth. I could have done without the miscommunication trope and third act breakup, but even with them it was really good. I can’t wait to read Cat King’s love story next!

I absolutely loved this story. Gannon and Paige feel so real to me. I could not put this down. Every minute I had, I was reading this and getting engrossed in their story. I also love how it tackles real issues perfectly.
This is the story of Paige, who is a field producer on a renovation "reality" makeover show. The stars of the show are twins, Cat and Gannon. Both are gorgeous and have men and women swooning. Cat is amenable and charming, while Gannon is gruff and prone to throwing tantrums. Gannon is infuriated that Paige is always so cool, calm, and collected. But as they get to actually know each other and the walls come down, their chemistry is off the charts.
Paige is working so hard so that she and her roommate can finally film their documentary about sexism in the industry and the pay gap. What ensues is the best blend of smart, insightful, hot perfection. I can't recommend this one enough!

I just reviewed Mr. Fixer Upper by Lucy Score. #NetGalley

This book was previously published back in 2017, and the importance of remarketing is evident. The original cover is not nice, quite tacky, and something I would never have read ..... don't start with the don't judge a book by its cover - that's not true. But this new cover and rebrand is so sweet, something that all romance readers would pick up and buy.

The story is one I hadn't read yet, a romance between a reality TV star and a producer - how clever! I really enjoyed the banter between the characters, and who doesn't love a "he fell first" troupe? Now, do I feel that Paige's internal monologue could have been half the length yes... was the entire thing her saying, this is wrong and unprofessional (yes). The number of times the word 'feminist' was used, might be a record in romantic writing.

Gannon and Pagie had a very sweet romance, and I very much enjoyed this story,

3.5 stars out of 5.

Lucy Score is a go to author for me but I found I liked this book less than others that I have read. The book started off a little slow for me and it was entirely too long. I found myself skimming along in some parts and losing interest. I did really the characters in the book and thought they were very well written. There was no denying the chemistry between Paige and Gannon and I was happy with the amazing ending they had. I also really liked how we got a behind the scenes look at the renovations going on and got to know some of the families that they were helping.

In Mr. Fixer Upper, Paige, the field producer, is constantly butting heads with one of the stars of the show, Gannon. This is the second seasons she is working with The Kings and has become best friends with the other star of the show Cat, who is Gannon's twin sister. Throughout the second season we get to meet a lot of deserving families for a new house and we also get to see how Paige and Gannon's relationship changes from professional to something else. This book is filled with a lot of steamy scenes and the best ending!

Thanks Netgalley and SOURCEBOOKS Bloom Books for this arc in exchange for my honest review.

You can never ever go wrong picking up a Lucy Score book! The depth and detail she puts not only into the characters but into the towns they live in see what keeps me coming back to her. Every time I finish one of her books I feel like I just made new fictional best friends and this book is no different. I will always recommend Lucy Score books, this one includes! Another book well done!

I have, and will forever be a fan of Lucy score, and this book is no different. I love you. I am always able to pick up one of her books and immediately be captivated by the characters. Also, she always right such a good banter and the banter between Ganner and Paige was fabulous. I love that he’s always trying to get a rise out of her. I don’t personally connect with the Hollywood scene, but I still enjoyed it thoroughly. But if that’s not your cup of tea, I’d keep that in mind. While this is a standalone, you do meet a character in the Christmas Fix, so that’s what I am off to read next!

This was my first Lucy Score book and it was such a good time.

As a previous HGTV watcher, I was sold on the premise of a behind the scenes look at construction and home renovation reality tv. Paige is a frosty, no nonsense, has everything under control field producer and Gannon is a super sexy, temperamental, rising-star, reality tv carpenter.

You get a little enemies to lovers, lots of found family, some second chance romance, he falls first, and if you're me, tons of tears. Just like the actual reality tv shows this is based around, we're introduced to lots of different people and their stories are all designed to pull at your heartstrings. I cried like… a lot. But I was really invested in Paige and Gannon and I would definitely recommend reading this one!

Gannon and his twin sister have a reality tv show, where they fix up and remodel homes and businesses. Paige is the production manager who keeps everyone on track. Obviously not the match expected, but it does work great. Enjoyed this one, although tended to skim the detailed sex a lot, as it felt a bit over the top at times. Might just be me. Otherwise, would highly recommend and look forward to his sister's story next.

This was such a cozy read for me. I’m a sucker for romance and home renovation shows, so it was obviously a win. I love how Lucy builds strong women characters in her books, and in this one she blatantly called out the entertainment and other industries for treating women on unequal levels as men. Having such a supportive MMC sealed the deal on my love for this couple. The drama was enough to cause interest, not anxiety, and the spice was a nice mid-level heat. Overall a good read for a snuggly day.

Another winner from Lucy Score. She shines a light on the reality on a reality show about fixing up homes for deserving families is a lot more craven than imagined with a network determined to wring every last iota of publicity for the show, even when it involves the humiliation of the stars and the staff. Sparks may fly between the grumpy star, Gannon, and the field producer , Paige, but she's determined to keep control and adding credits for her resume and career growth, not anything else.

I absolutely adore Lucy Score's work and Mr. Fixer Upper did not disappoint. I have loved absolutely everything that I have ever read by and was so excited to get my hands on an ARC of this book.

This was a rollercoaster of emotions from humor to sizzling chemistry and the characters were phenomenal. The banter and interactions between the characters are witty and authentic, making the story feel relatable and down-to-earth.

The chemistry between Paige and Gannon is palpable and electrifying, leaving you eagerly anticipating their every encounter. I was completely engrossed in Paige and Gannon's characters. Their internal struggles, vulnerabilities, and personal growth are beautifully portrayed, adding depth to their characters and making their love story all the more compelling.

Not only is this a steamy romance, but it is also a story about trust, second chances and the complexities of love. The characters' journey is filled with obstacles and challenges that test the strength of their connection, and the way Lucy Score navigates these hurdles is masterful .

This was a perfect blend of passion and heart, making it a truly enjoyable read for fans of contemporary romance. Whether you're a fan of grumpy heros, sassy heroines, or stories that tug at your heartstrings, this has it all. It's a captivating and feel-good romance that will leave you with a smile on your face and a warm feeling in your heart. Highly recommend for anyone in search of a love story that is both spicy and sweet!

The cover change is brilliant. I immediately downloaded the next one and can’t wait to read it. And that brownstone is so swoony

3.5 Stars- I really enjoyed the plot. It worked really well with both characters personality and felt completely unique.

I had issues with pacing as well as the other woman plot line. It was all encompassing and at times, really hard to read.

That being said, post grovel was a joy and I had a good time reading this.

"Mr. Fixer Upper" by Lucy Score is a steamy and entertaining romance novel that takes place on the set of a home renovation reality TV show.

The story revolves around Gannon King, a charismatic and attractive star of the reality show, and Paige St. James, his no-nonsense field producer. Despite the on-screen chemistry they share, off-camera, they are constantly at odds. Paige, determined to maintain her professionalism and not succumb to Gannon's charm, resists his advances and provocations. But when cracks begin to appear in her composure, sparks start to fly.

Gannon is smitten by Paige, and as their relationship develops, it's captured by the TV cameras. However, Paige knows that getting involved with the star of her show could jeopardize her career, making her reluctant to acknowledge her true feelings. Meanwhile, Gannon, who's known for his relationships with women, is willing to prove that his feelings for Paige are genuine.

The story is filled with passion, humor, and steamy scenes. Readers can expect a protective grumpy hero, a strong-willed heroine, and plenty of dramatic moments that will keep them engaged. The novel explores themes of trust, love, and the consequences of letting go of someone you care about.

With its charming characters and engaging storyline, "Mr. Fixer Upper" is a compelling romance novel that promises both laughter and heartfelt moments.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for a copy of this book in exchange for a review.

I really like Lucy Score's books, and I was so excited tor ead this one, but I really hated it. Gannon, the weirdest name by far, is irritating and not a grumpy sunshine as much as he is an arrogant ass who can't handle anything that isn't his own way. He thinks he knows better so he's totally find to go against anything our heroine says she needs to get what he wants. Even though she's wrong and needs a little push I hated how much he disregarded her very real worries about the consequences of their getting together. Paige was totally justified in feeling like there would be extra scrutiny on her if their relationship came out and he ignored her concerns, especially when it came to trying to get her own movie made about women being marginalized.

Also I love that they like each other, but they are too old to pretend like there are no consequences. Also one more time, his name is Gannon?? I've liked other Score books, and this one won't stop me from reading her, but this one did not hit for me.

Synopsis:
It's a constant battle on set between sexy home renovation reality TV star grumpy Gannon King and his no-nonsense field producer. Paige St. James has zero time for temperamental talent.
Mr. Sex in a Toolbelt has made it his mission in life to get a rise out of her, but Paige is a master at locking down her temper. They're on the road together working long hours fixing houses and changing lives. When cracks in her legendary coolness start to show and sparks fly, Gannon is infatuated and the cameras are there to capture it.
But he's fallen for pretty packages before and Paige won't be taken seriously if she's caught sleeping with the star of her show. She also can't seem to resist those big, rough hands. Those smoldery hazel eyes. The dimples. The toolbelt. That fiercely protective vibe.
Too bad it's all about to fall apart.
She never should have trusted him.
He never should have let her go.
