This is a good book. The two main characters are Dylan and Charlie. Dylan is a doctor of sports medicine. Charlie is a football player. They meet at a football game, they accidentally run into each other. Charlie invites her to a suite to watch the game. She accepts. Charlie gets hurt. He winds up at the hospital Dylan works at for PT. Dylan helps him to get back on his feet. There is an attraction. They start dating and fall in love.
Trevor faces financial struggles on his ranch and reluctantly agrees to the idea of "glamping" to generate income. Sabrina, the glamorous woman in charge of the project, clashes with Trevor's practical and down-to-earth personality. Despite their differences, they find themselves drawn to each other, navigating compromise and romance along the way. Their unlikely relationship brings warmth and charm to Wildhorse Ranch, making it a delightful read for romance enthusiasts seeking a feel-good story.
I received a copy from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
This was a short fun read at only 170 pages in total. The characters are likeable and well developed. And the tension between Trevor and Sabrina is intense. They are like chalk and cheese and couldn't have more different personalities or ideals than one another. But as they say opposites attract. I would have liked the book to have lasted a little longer, as I definitely want to spend more time at the Wildhorse ranch. This is the first book in a new series so hopefully there will be plenty more installments.
This is the first time I have read anything by the author Leslie North but it won't be the last. It is a really cute cowboy read.
I want to start by saying thank you to NetGalley for approving my request to read "Wild Ride" by Leslie North.
Summary:
This book is about Trevor, he is a rancher and inherited the family ranch when his grandfather passed. But, he's running into financial difficulties and needs to come up with a way to increase business. Enter, Sabrina, a young woman who he's hired to start a glamping experience at the ranch. This unlikely grumpy x sunshine pair develop an attraction, which leads to a romantic relationship.
This said it was the third book but instead, it was the first book, which I already read and reviewed.
I enjoyed this book. Liked how the characters bounced off each other. Nice easy read. Would recommend
Closer to 3.5 stars.
This was good, but there was no real meat to it.
If you're looking for a fast, satisfying, no drama read, then this is perfect.
I felt like we barely scratch the surface of the characters and their chemistry seemed a little forced to me.
I received an advance copy via NetGalley and all opinions are my own.
Trevor is trying to save his ranch and Sabrina comes on board to help keep it afloat by offering glamping. While getting the business started they fell in love.
The storyline was a great concept but lacked depth. Random scenes were added to the plot, but never evolved and/or wasn’t mentioned again later in the book. The novel could’ve easily been a lot longer and I think I would’ve enjoyed it more than I even did.
Zoe and Jake are ex-lovers and start out on the wrong foot when Zoe shows up unannounced to Jake to help fix their business’s website and live on the ranch for a month. I like the way that they started out insulting each other only to find that the spark they had still existed. I loved the way Jake’s sisters intervened and ot them on the right track to something they both wanted and pined for. This is a simple story of lovers pushing each other away until they get their priorities straight.
Trevor Wilde is a rancher who breeds quarter horses. He inherited the ranch from his grandfather but the ranch has financial problems so Trevor needs cash, and soon. Trevor’s twin brother Trent hired Sabrina to start up a glamping business. Trevor is a gruff man who likes to be in control all the time and bot too thrilled to have a blonde city girl uproot his life with all these ideas that interfere with his daily life. It seems he does everything in his power to discourage her, which is a bit weird since he hired her to do her job.
The story was a bit superficial in my opinion. I would have loved a bit more character development and to see the relationship grow and evolve. I missed that, the characters were a bit shallow. For example, Trevor was furious at Sabrina when she accidentally took old stuff from the neighbors which she assumed was trash. Totally overreacting, IMO. He could have easily given her the benefit of the doubt, be nice and calmly explain like you might expect from an adult. Despite that kind of attitude, they soon kiss, and that came out of the blue. I missed the chemistry. Trevor is easily angered and Sabrina sometimes acts very silly and insecure. I liked the setting but the story just didn’t work for me.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book and I am grateful for the opportunity. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
MC is abit of a twit
But the book itself was pretty good
Read it in about 3 hours couldn’t put it down
Going to read the second
Wild Ride is a short but sweet romance set on the Wildhorse ranch and the first in a new series.
Trevor is struggling with his ranch, it's not making enough money and he can't bear to give it up or sell his horses. Something has to change, so he hires Sabrina. She's a city girl who contrasts his grumpy attitude with her sunshiney one and creates a successful glamping business whilst butting heads with Trevor. But the two can't help feeling the attraction and as Sabrina continues to work and live on the ranch, sparks fly.
I really enjoyed this but it's so short! I definitely would have read another 150 pages of their story. As it's so quick, it does feel a little rushed towards the end but the chemistry is palpable between the two so their romance is believable to me.
Great for fans of cowboy/ranch romance and the grumpy & sunshine trope.
Enjoy this steamy read with lots of wonderful characters, a storyline which is intriguing and keep you guessing with a HEA that will touch your heart!.
I laughed at all of the list that Trevor has. It's usually something that the women in a story have.
Sabrina tried so hard to make sure that Trevor would be okay with everything that she chose for the Glamping business that they were starting. He was equally trying hard to keep it away from his ranch.
When they start to work together sparks fly. Most because of the chemistry that they have. Some from the mistakes that Sabrina keeps making.
I loved reading, Wild Ride.
Trevor Wild is the owner of Wildhorse Ranch and it is currently in financial trouble in trying to save it he enlists the help of Sabrina Heartstone in order to attract campers to his property in order to increase profit margins. Sabrina lives on the property while trying to set up the program.
When I downloaded this I thought it was book #3 in the series and not a repeat of book #1
Wild Ride by Leslie North.
Book 1 of Wildhorse Ranch Brothers.
Trevor Wild will do anything to save his beloved Wildhorse Ranch… Including starting up a trendy glamping side business—something as alien to him as a day out of the saddle. Luckily, smart and sassy Sabrina Hearthstone is an expert. Trevor’s hired her to live on the ranch while she sets up a glamping experience on his land. But it doesn’t take long for Sabrina to disrupt his life, in more ways than one. Trevor’s got a ranch to save, and the last thing he needs is to fall for a beautiful woman. But his heart seems to have other plans…
I really enjoyed this book. I liked Trevor and Sabrina story. 5*.
Thank you to NetGalley for ARC of this book, in exchange for my honest opinion.
Trevor is about to lose his family ranch, unless he starts bringing in money. So he hires Sabrina to set up a glamping business on site, to try and help bring in some income. Butting heads at every decision, and project the two get off to a rough start. But as they start to spend more time together, and learn to work together their bond begins to grow. As Sabrina’s feelings for Trevor get stronger, she begins to worry what will happen between them when her job at the ranch is all done.
I really enjoyed this short and sweet read by Leslie North. I loved the setting of the Ranch in Texas, and not to mention the swoon worthy men. Leslie is great at romances that are weaved together perfectly, sprinkled with some spice, and a lovely happily ever after.
I’m already looking forward to the next book in this series, about Trevor’s brother Dylan.
