The writing was excellent, and the story quickly had me engaged. It was toward the end that I was having a problem with it. I loved the adventure and the mystery, but I did not like how things lost their flow in the plot toward latter part of the book.

What a fascinating premise this novel had. It did take me a little while to really get into it, but once I did, I raced through this because the stories were wonderful and I wanted to find out more. This is one of those books that can’t be explained, you have to read them to get it.

I enjoyed this one a lot.

A gorgeous cover, very inviting. I was intrigued! I think Jessica crafted a story unlike anything I've read before. It had action, heartbreak, resiliency, and more. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.

Seems kind of weird but then again kind of interesting.
I got it because of the lighthouse on the front.
Cool cover by the way. I'm a sucker for lighthouses.
This story has a little bit of everything in it to keep you glued to the pages.
I love adventures so this one was a treat!
The opening scene made me hold my breath and take it away at the same time. This is a second for me in books.
Interesting characters and a cool setting that I loved very much.
Hope is the key word to success and survival in this fast paced novel.

5 stars for a cool adventure. I was lost in this story from the beginning. I'm thinking about each character from this novel.
I stayed up all night just to finish it. I wanted to see what happened next.
Such a great read and I highly recommend it.
