This story of Anna & Gabe spans over 15 years from when Anna was 16yo. A lot happened over the years. The author did a wonderful job for writing the story beautifully for it not to drag out over the long years it covers.... it unravel full circle of their lives over the years so nicely.
Aside from the FMC & and MMC who i absolutely loved, especially Gabe, all the other characters were great... likable and very relatable.
Throughout the book, i was rooting for Anna to succeed.
There were times I found Anna frustrating 😑 but hey, im not in her shoes, so I guess I can't totally understand how she felt.
Gabe, on the other hand, was swoon-worthy.. he was everything and more.

The title of this story kind of gives this book away, but its what's in between.. the ups and downs, the twist etc that makes it absolutely worth it.

The portrayal of addiction and its effects was thoughtfully written. We get to know the effects it generally has on the person addicted, as well as all the people close to them, and worse when a child is involved, they suffer the most.

This is my first book by @Melissawiesner and It definitely won't be my last.

This story will stay with me for a long time.

As the description says this book is indeed perfect for fans of Colleen Hoover, Lucy Score, and Carley Fortune.

Thanks netgalley, the publisher and author for this audiobook

A compelling contemporary romance novel that weaves together themes of love, loss, and the enduring power of memories. The story centers around the lives of two women, Ronnie and Mallory, whose paths cross in unexpected and meaningful ways.

Ronnie is a hospice nurse who forms a deep connection with her terminally ill patient, Lorraine. Through Lorraine's stories, Ronnie learns about Lorraine's lost love and the choices that shaped her life. This narrative provides a poignant backdrop, offering insights into the complexities of love and the impact of past decisions on the present.

Mallory, on the other hand, is dealing with her own set of challenges. As her life intersects with Ronnie's, both women are forced to confront their pasts and reconsider their futures. Wiesner skillfully develops the characters, making their emotional journeys resonate with readers. The narrative is infused with warmth and empathy, making it easy to become invested in the characters' lives.

Wiesner's writing is evocative, with vivid descriptions and a strong sense of place. The pacing is well-balanced, allowing for moments of introspection and emotional depth without losing momentum. The dual timeline adds layers to the story, gradually revealing connections and secrets that keep the reader engaged.

Overall, "It All Comes Back to You" is a heartfelt and beautifully written novel that explores the enduring impact of love and memory. It's a story about finding closure, forgiveness, and the unexpected ways our lives intertwine with others. Fans of contemporary romance and women's fiction will find much to appreciate in Wiesner's thoughtful and moving narrative.

✨ heartwarming
✨friends to lovers
✨opposite attract

✨Anna and Gabe was the main character of the story. Opposite attract kind of vibe as Anna has a difficult journey. She is quite determined and on her own.
While Gabe,is the more extrovert, member of a frat and outgoing .
As there friendship goes by and they developed as a whole it covers how they trust each other,
A lot of heartwarming moment and heartbreaking scenario which is abit different for what I go for.
But this is written perfectly as it feels like a realistic based of having this kind of relationship.

✨ first book reading to the author and definitely will read some more next time.

I really enjoyed the first part of this story. It had me gripped and I really enjoyed Anna and Gabes interactions especially when Anna is introduced to the family. The story was engaging and took me on a roller coaster of emotions. The 2nd part lost its way for me unfortunately. It didn't seem to flow as well and I found myself not getting as lost in the story as we only got little snippets of life after part one and they are spread out with upto 3 year gaps. I just didnt get the same feels due to this time loss.
The audio was really enjoyable. This was a narrator I hadn't heard before and I would definitely listen to more audios featuring her.
As a new to me author I would defiantly be up for trying another one of Melissa's books.

I don't think I was in the right mindset for this book when I read it. It's a little too dark for me right now - I may pick it back up at different time.

I love the audiobook and the story. It wasn't something I was expecting while reading the synopsis of the book.

It was okay to listen to while I was doing other things but the story didn't grip me all that much. It's probably not the fault of the story- this isn't my preferred genre generally.

It All Comes Back to You by Melissa Wiesner is a heart-wrenching and captivating romance that explores the power of secrets, forgiveness, and second chances.

The story follows Anna, a college student who works two jobs and hides a dark past from everyone, and Gabe, a privileged and charming frat boy who falls in love with her. Their connection is undeniable, but Anna is afraid to let Gabe into her world, and when he gets too close to the truth, she runs away, leaving him and his family heartbroken. Years later, a tragedy brings Anna back to the town she grew up in, and she has to face Gabe again, along with the secrets that tore them apart. The book is told in alternating timelines, switching between the present and the past, revealing the events that led to Anna and Gabe’s separation and their reunion.

The chemistry is palpable and their romance is swoon-worthy, but also realistic and emotional. They have to overcome a lot of obstacles and challenges, both external and internal, to heal and find their way back to each other.

The book also deals with some serious and sensitive topics, such as domestic violence, addiction, mental health, and family dynamics. The author handles these issues with care and compassion, showing the impact they have on the characters and their relationships, but also the possibility of recovery and redemption.

The writing style is fluid and engaging, with a good balance of dialogue, description, and action.

The author does a great job of creating suspense and intrigue, making the reader eager to find out what happened and what will happen next.

I would rate this book 4 stars out of 5, because I really enjoyed it and it made me feel a lot of emotions. I deducted half a star because I felt that some parts of the story were a bit rushed or underdeveloped, and I would have liked more details or explanations.

The audiobook version of the book is narrated by Kate Handford, who does a fantastic job of bringing the story and the characters to life. SShe has a clear and pleasant voice, with a good range of tones and expressions.

I would recommend this audiobook to anyone who loves a good romance with a lot of drama, angst, and emotion, but also humor, sweetness, and hope. It All Comes Back to You is a book that will make you laugh, cry, and swoon, and stay with you long after you finish it.

It all comes back to you is a heartbreaking novel about family and the strength of friendship. Anna meets Gabe when she is 16 and they are forced to work on a university project together. Their friendship develops and she becomes part of his family. The book follows their lives and reveals Anna’s traumatic childhood experiences and her resilience as she strives to succeed despite the challenges she faces.
This did remind me of Colleen Hoover novels and although it is cliched in parts, it is an enjoyable read that leaves you routing for the characters.

Wow, this book had me hooked right from the start.
Anna works two jobs just to get herself through college and never talks about her family. It's much easier to keep her distance from everyone until she can finally leave her old life behind. That is until chance throws her together with Gabe...
Gabe is everything Anna is not. But as they start to get close Anna would do just about anything to stop Gabe from discovering her secret, and why every night she goes home to a cold and silent apartment. Just as Gabe and his family get close to the truth, Anna runs, promising to never see them again. However, years later tragedy brings Anna back to the town where she grew up in...

I listened to the audio of this book and the narrator was great. It kept me wanting to keep listening and to find out what happens next. I love how the author didn't rush right into the romance and it never felt forced, it had a good relationship progress. I really enjoyed how the author took the time and to show how their friendship started and how it was developing. Even with their ups and downs they always came back to each other.
I kept thinking about the book even when I was finished with it every-now and then I would think about our main characters.
One thing I would have loved to know is (without trying to spoil it) what happened with Anna and her loved one at the end...like did they stay in touch after that?
There are some heavy topics being explored but it was also very heartwarming and uplifting.
I would 100% recommend this book.

3.5 ⭐️

I was quickly drawn into the story but I got bored around the 50% mark. Thankfully I liked the narrator and the writing and needed to know what happened.
The ending felt quick and I wanted to know more. We got so much information from the beginning and then the ending seemed rushed.
Very very slow burn which I actually liked that it didn’t feel rushed. It didn’t feel like a “heart-shattering” romance for me but I can see how people will feel that way.
Even though I had some issues with the book I still ended up liking it and would recommend reading it.

I enjoyed reading this book because it was engaging, well-written, and informative. The author did a great job of creating realistic and relatable characters, setting the scene, and building suspense. The book also explored some interesting themes, such as identity, family, and justice. The plot was fast-paced and full of twists and turns, keeping me hooked until the end. The only thing that I did not like was the ending, which felt rushed and unsatisfying. I would have liked to see more closure and resolution for the main characters. Overall, I would recommend this book to anyone who likes thrillers, mysteries, and dramas. It was a captivating and enjoyable read.

This book frustrated the heck out of me. I wanted to throw it across the room several times. I didn’t like Anna. Gabe and his family were awesome. I would call this a miscommunication trope and it went on the entire book. The. Entire. Book. Having said that I finished this painful audiobook to see my HEA! It was a painfully long good story. The narrator was Kate Handford and she was great. 3.5⭐️

This was such an emotional rollercoaster. I really enjoyed the journey between Anna and Abe and loved the ending between them. I did feel that the ending was a bit abrupt and I would have liked a better conclusion between Anna and her mom. I felt like there was a lot of story left there and some explanations were missing that I needed to feel fulfilled. This will definitely resonate with Colleen Hoover fans - it gave me all the same vibes. I enjoyed this one a lot! slow trawl through the lives of college girl and older student boy, they are from different backgrounds and therefore the access to education was hard won by one and expected by the other. Family backgrounds and breaking the cycle of abuse and neglect is always a difficult subject to read however it is integral to the story. So is there a happy ending? read the book, I did finish it although had got bored halfway through. Thank you #NetGalley for the audiobook to review.

Anna is a very privite person and for good reason. She has worked 2 jobs to get herself through school. She has a dream of being a doctor. She doesn't let anyone get close to her and she puts her studies above everything. When she gets paired up with Gab she thinks great another frat boy whos going to hold her back.

What she gets from him is more than a partner for a class but a best friend that she can finally start breathing around and the more her learns about her the more he wants to do anything for her.

This is a really heavy book its not a lite romance and the support Gabe and his family give Anna to become the person she is meant to be is everything.

If your looking for more than a light romance this is a great one to pick up.
