This book was amazing and heart-breaking. Gabe and Anna's story was sad and sweet and made me want to route for them. I predicted a lot of it and knew what was going to happen in certain scenes after I heard a line but it didn't make me love the story any less. I want more anna and Gabe and their future together because I need to know how they end up.

I really enjoyed this book - especially with my new found love of a good audiobook whilst cleaning and cooking! It’s quite a heart rendering story - carefully going from present to the backstory. You’re left hoping for a positive outcome and hooked on letting to figure out what the back back-story is! This will all make sense when you read it! Characters are well developed and all threads carefully tied together. A brilliant story and thoroughly recommended.

Thank you NetGalley for the audio copy in exchange for a honest review. Anna and Gabe are thrown together to do a class project. Gabe has the perfect family life. Anna has to work and fend for herself. Fave’s family start to invite her to families meals while they work hard on their project. As time goes by Gabe finds out Anna is living alone with a drunk threatening landlord. Fave’s family take Anna in and treat her like one of the family. Absolutely delightful story

Wowzers! I think there will be some teary eyed fans of this one! It was a very emotional story, mostly of watching Anna triumph over the horrible circumstances she endured through childhood.
Gabe, an older college student, became her close friend and confidante while she was working on a project while in high school. From there, we see them grow in their professional careers and closer together through the years.
It was a beautiful story, that tugs at your heart. The narration was great!!

This was a lovely book..a heartwarming book of love and loss, of a young girl finding the way in the world after being abandoned by her mother. Anna always wanted to be a doctor and worked hard to do so and she doubles up with Gabe for the rest of the project. He was a bit of a jack the lad but he turned out to be her Prince but not in the obvious way.
Her parents take her in and she becomes a member of their family.. Gabe and her become like brother and sisters together with the other siblings. She becomes a successful doctor and over the years, qGabe starts to fall in love with Anna and she too has feelings.. This book is full of warmth joy, loss snd gratefulness..
The narrator is fantastic! This audiobook is great!
Thank you to Netgalley and Bookcouture for an advanced audio for an honest review

I loved this one so much !
Ana and Gabe became friends in college but Ana is still in hight school. Gabe is the golden boy with a sweet family, and Ana never see her mom, works and lives in a horrible apartment. Ana and Gabe both had secret that prevents them from being honest with each other and together.
They’re different, but they became friend even if they don’t always agree.
This book is so a page turner and my heart hurt with every leap in time.
I cried and laughed and was frustrated. It made me really emotional !
Even if we guess some of the story, this book is a must read and I going to buy it !

Melissa Wiesner -It All comes Back To You.

Audio Review.

This book drew me in immediately.
Anna and Gabe couldn’t be more different, but they strike up an unlikely friendship when they have to work on a project together.
Theirs is a friendship that endures time. It’s a beautiful friendship that cuts straight to the heart.
Anna is living the toughest life, and I truly felt for her.
Gabe has it all. A big, wealthy, and supportive family. He has an amazing future ahead of him, but what makes him and his family so special is just how humble and caring they are.

Anna and Gabe make their own paths in life, but they never stray too far from each other.

This book blew me away. Anna and Gabe both stole my heart.

#ItAllComesBackToYou is first and foremost a love story, that will captivate you.
But this book is so much more than just a beautiful love story. It’s thought provoking and poignant.

Kate Handford does a fabulous job of narrating this story. She clearly defines each character and provides the right emotion where needed.

Over all, #ItAllComesBackToYou is an outstanding book. It’s a story with a big heart and you will be frantically racing to the end, despite not wanting it to be over.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

With thanks to Netgalley and Bookouture audio for an audio arc of this title.

I love how resistant Anna is no mater what is thrown at her. Gabe is a fantastic guy who looks below the surface. They are perfect parts of each other.

I adore this cover, it has nothing really to do with the book but it is so very pretty. Love the water petals. Ugh, it is so pretty!

This novel is the epitome of a slow burn romance, 10 years in the making or 10+ years. Anna is 16 years old, a junior in high school at the start of this story. She has enrolled in a college level economics class, as one of those dual credit classes that I wish existed when I was a kid. She gets partnered with a senior(?) in college Gabe to work on a major project due at the end of the semester. Little did they know, their lives would change forever. Anna has a rough life, druggie mom who abandoned her and everyone in her life is pretty much garbage. She has one goal, and that is to finish high school under the radar and get a scholarship to college and become a doctor. Gabe is pretty much the opposite, he grew up affluent with a dad who wants him to be a doctor, but he does not want that. Gabe brings Anna into his home to study weekly and everyone falls in love with her.

We get a huge chunk of the novel as high school Anna and Gabe, where they are learning about each other and developing friendships, we learn the most during this section. The rest of the story is told in small chunks over the period of 10 years and plenty of flash forwards. All the flash forwards are when Gabe and Anna have physical (see each other in person) interactions, as opposed to text or phone calls. We see some developing of each of their careers, and Anna's constant search to find herself and her mother.

The pacing of this book is slow for me and the romance in this story is there, but it is minimal and both characters are fighting it for over a decade. I found that the story was more of a finding oneself type of story. Learning to accept yourself, understand that you can trust and love, and that Anna deserve to be loved even though really bad things have happened to her. Then we have the teased secrets that are on the cover. I was disappointed. Neither of the secrets where that mind blowing. Anna's was obvious from the beginning and Gabe just obsessed about keeping his so he wouldn't hurt Anna. Which if he would have come clean then, honestly nothing would have changed because Anna wasn't ready. Our flash forwards mostly didn't add much to the story until the very end, we could have probably skipped several of those and been fine. In fact I would have liked that so we could have flushed that ending out a bit more. The ending felt very abrupt.

Overall, the story was entertaining. I did not have my heart strings tugged that much in this, but for some this will be a very emotional rollercoaster, especially for those who have lived with familial struggles and dream of a found family experience.

This book will pull at your heart strings and long for the love of Gabe and Anna. A slow burn romance, second chance love. Anna is doing anything to get a better life for herself. While a junior in high school she takes a college class and meets Gabe. They form an unlikely friendship. I really love how the story progresses slowly through their life. I really felt captivated within the first few chapters. I just loved this story and how it pulled you into their world. I felt so many emotions of love, longing, sadness, happiness. Kate Handford does a terrific job with the narration of this book! Just put this book on your TBR now- you’ll love it. Many thanks to Bookouture Audio and NetGalley for the digital review copy of this novel. All opinions expressed in this review are my own.

A truly captivating story that grips the reader from the beginning. The young girl growing up in hardship and the unlikely friendship she forms with a privileged boy from a wealthy family shows the dichotomy of their lives. You are rooting for her from the beginning and she displays incredible confidence, resilience, and grit by the end of the book. It is truly a heartwarming and relatable story of life, love and all other complexities in between!

This book was not at all what I expected, I thought it would be your typical romance, however it was so much more. For me the cover especially didn’t do the book justice.
I loved the relationship between Anna and Gabe, but even more than that the relationship she had with his family. I enjoyed watching them grow over the years and am so glad the book was set over such a long time span.

Wow, this is a really amazing book, which I absolutely loved! The story is about Anna and Gabe, and their friendship over the years, starting from when Anna was 16 years old and Gabe was 21 years old. Anna is living alone and is working a lot just to pay her rent to her horrible landlord, while Gabe has a perfect and loving family who fully support him. Gabe tries to help Anna, but she is stubborn, and it takes a while for her to accept help from him and his family. Over the years, as they leave each other, both of them grow emotionally and in maturity, and they are always thinking of each other. Both of them have secrets, and they find it hard to be with each other, even though their chemistry is very strong. Will they be able to overcome the hurt, and finally be together?

This is an outstanding book, which is heartwarming, emotional and touching. I just loved it so much. It has beautiful writing, perfect characters, lovely settings, superb romance and friendship, great family life, and much more. Highly recommended! If you are thinking of reading this book, please do, as you won't be disappointed! It is one of the best books I have read this year.

Many thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for a copy of this book.

Melissa Weisner is fast becoming an auto-buy author. And I've only read or listened to 2 books by her. THAT is how good she is.
The characters, the emotion, and the drama are all swept up in a story you adore being in. I don't know how she does it. The plot doesn't waver, the characters are so real and complex it's like she's writing an autobiography.
The narrator, Kate Handford is fabulous. She was so easy to listen to. I was gripped by the story and the emotion she put into the performance with the drama she was describing.
Fans of womens fiction with a heart- you will love this author.

This was such a heartwarming read. Such a good example of found family and healing from past family trauma.

This story spans out along a large time span. It is a slow burn romance, but rightfully so because it really connects you to the characters' journey.

I loved Anna. She is so dang strong and determined to better herself after such a hard past. Gabe is so sweet and patient. I love how he easily included Anna into his family circle. The bonds that are formed are so wholesome.

So many different emotions from this one. Absolutely loved it!

Thank you @netgalley @melissawiesnerauthor
Bookouture Audio, for allowing me to listen to the audio and give my honest review. The narrator, Kate Handford, did a fantastic job at changing her voice to fit each character.

This is a book which touched my soul. It was heartwrenching & heartwarming at the same time. This was a new author for me but she has already secured her place in my favorites. The evolvement of all the characters in the book was so beautiful to watch and the the main characters were chef's kiss.🤌🏻💕

• The slow burn pining between Gabe and Anna was so engaging, I was totally invested from the start. Gabe's family was a dream.... I loved the tight-knit relationships they had and so welcoming... The total opposite to Anna's painful past and childhood trauma.

• This book is one of the best ... It had such a powerful impact on me, I'm going to think about this for a long time.

What to expect ~

→Slow burn romance with a lot of pining
→Family bonding, Found family
→One Bed trope
→Friends➝Lovers
→Importance of letting others in, trusting one and forgiving yourself

If I have to choose a golden retriever book boyfriend, Gabe is my present book husband.💘

It All Comes Back To You by Melissa Wiesner
Narrated by Kate Handford

I received an advance review copy for free thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture Audio and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Blurb

Anna works two jobs to get herself through college and never, ever talks about her family. It’s easier to keep her distance from everyone until she can finally leave her old life behind. That is, until chance throws her together with Gabe …

Gabe is top of the class, in a fancy fraternity, and has a big, perfect, warm-hearted family. He is everything Anna is not. Their connection is undeniable. His silver-blue eyes pierce right through her, and he makes her laugh in ways she never thought possible. But Anna would do anything to stop Gabe from discovering her darkest secret, and the real reason she goes home every night to a cold, silent apartment…

When Gabe and his family get close to the truth, Anna runs, vowing to never see them again. But forever is a long time…

Years later. Tragedy brings Anna back to the town she grew up in—a place she escaped a decade ago. When Gabe wraps his strong arms around her, it’s like finally finding home.

But when the truth comes out after all these years, will both their worlds come crashing down? Gabe is the one person Anna trusts but what if he has secrets, too? And how much pain can two hearts endure, before they are torn apart forever?

My Opinion

Before I started reading this I had seen some great reviews so I went into this with high expectations. If I tell you that I have already recommended this to my book club then you will know that it lived up to them. This is the first book I have read by Melissa Wiesner but I already know that it will not be my last.

Melissa has written some great characters and you can really feel their emotions as we follow Anna and Gabe through the years. I found myself getting frustrated in places, and wishing I could shout at the characters. This is a real page-turner (or the equivalent for an audiobook), I had over 7 hours to listen to one morning and couldn't bring myself to stop listening until I knew how it all ended.

There is a good premise to this book, love under your nose and the discovery of this but there were a lot of confusing pieces that made it hard to keep up with some plot points. Especially in audio format the constant time jumps really made me confused about how old the characters were.

The conflict between the protagonists fizzled out and I had to rewind to go “ did I miss this resolution” ? No it just doesn’t exist. The climax of one of the main tension points in the book was similarly lacklustre.
