I absolutely love this series and its characters, and Heartsong truly delivers. Book #3 in the Green Creek series is emotional, gut-wrenching, action-packed... and yet has the deep moments of love and connection that are the hallmark of this series (plus some truly funny scenes and dialogue that make it all sing). I highly recommend this entire series.

This is third book in the series and you need to read the other two or you will be lost.Besides the books are awesome so start at the beginning to enjoy all the magic and wonder of this series. I couldn't wait to read this book and get back to hanging out with the Bennett's. This is the story of Robbie and Kelly.

The way that they see each other and love is a beautiful thing. They fight for each other and for their relationship. You just find yourself rooting for the Bennetts in all the battles and hoping they prevail.

I love T.J. Klune books as they make you laugh. Everyone just wants to belong and be loved and accepted as they are and it is so powerful to read. The pack will be tested again and great set up for next book.

This book may have broken me.
I think it is my favourite in the series. Good god Robbie's story hurts. And Gavin and basically everything. 😭

I was SO excited to get an ARC of this one. I've been helplessly addicted to the series and knew I didn't want to wait until the 3rd was published in print.

This one has been my favorite so far.... It was perfect and I would change nothing. TJ Klune, you have a reader for life here.

Thank you to the author, publisher and Netgalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I am a huge fan of TJ Klune. He has such versatility as a writer: I've read stories of his with magic, superheroes, and just some regular teens trying to figure out life too. No matter what the story, his writing has so much heart and humor.

Heartsong is the third in the Green Creek series, and is about Robbie and Kelly, who are both werewolves of the Bennett werewolf clan. The absolutely best thing about this series is the relationship between all of the characters: brothers, friends, lovers, werewolves, humans, etc.

SPOILER AHEAD. This book is told as a bit of a mystery. Robbie doesn't remember being part of the Bennett clan because he's been kidnapped by a bad magician. He has a hard time reckoning who he's become with who everyone else says he used to be. There are some dark emotional moments in all of these books where characters have to really think about the choices they have made, and the people they have hurt. The Bennetts, of course, support him with their all-consuming love. Kelly is a patient and warm mate to Robbie. Kelly is also ace, and Klune's exploration of their relationship is really sensitive and thoughtful.

If you're looking for a fantasy with lots of action as well as tenderness, this one is pretty perfect.

Thank you NetGalley for the digital ARC of this book.

I have been marathoning these books over the past week and let me tell you I am totally immersed in this world. I really love the relationships all the characters have with one another. I really enjoyed how this book was written and how we figure out what’s going on with Robbie. I thought it was fun and unique. The ending broke my heart, however, I am really excited to see how it all plays out in the last book.

TJ Klune is one of my very favorite authors and I'll read everything he puts out. My friend lent me her copy of Wolfsong, so when I saw the new editions were back on NetGalley I jumped on it right away. Robbie's tale is no less enchanting than Ox & Joe's.

TJ Klune is fast tracking his way to becoming one of my favorite authors. I really enjoyed this book that focuses on Robbie and Kelly. He has a profound way to zap characters right into my heart. I loved the dynamic of their relationship change from the other books and get some questions answered in regards to that. I would definitely recommend!!

Thank you Tor and Netgalley for the arc in exchange for my honest review.

I love the Green Creek series so so much. Each book is better than the last, and I honestly don’t want it to end. This book focuses on Kelly and Robbie. When Robbie’s memory is taken from him, he has to learn to love again. The love these characters have for each other is so genuine, and I rooted for them through out.

This book will make you laugh, cry, smile, and then laugh and cry again. TJ Klune is a master storyteller and has quickly become my favorite author.

If you are looking for an m/m fantasy and haven’t checked this one out, you should seriously run to the nearest book store! 🏃

Once again this series grabs my heart and never lets go.
The sense of family and fighting for what you love is woven into these pages with humor and real laugh out loud moments.
I was brought to tears in more than a few places and the whole time the book just continued to hug me.
I never want this series to end. I want to always be with my pack....pack...pack...pack. 💞

Thank you, Netgalley, for the copy!

Each book TJ Klune writes in Green Creek series makes me fall more and more in love with his characters and writing style, I enjoy the representation he has in each book. So happy to have received this arc

I loved the first two books of this series & once again I enjoyed another. This one centered around different characters & I was so happy to get a glimpse into a different set of mates. The rich storytelling in this series really brings the romance and background alive. Can’t wait to continue in the journey

Oh my GOD reading this book was quite a trip. The first quarter, I was trying to figure out where we were in time, then it was what has happened to Robbie? I kinda love that none of the stories in this series are actually written from the Bennett brothers' points of view.

Robbie, of course, is Kelly's mate, and someone we were introduced to about half way through the first novel in the series. I will say that, unlike the previous two books, we don't go way back into the past and then regurgitate the same events from his PoV like we do in the first two.

And that, that alone almost, makes this a five star book.

The rest of what makes it a five star is just how strong the narration is from Robbie's PoV. He's such an interesting character, and seeing him put into the situations he's placed into in this novel only gets to show that off to the highest extreme.

I don't think I've ever seen an amnesia story so well done but, because of the lore behind these books, it doesn't actually feel like amnesia so much as a mystery that the reader is eager to solve all the way up to the end.

As usual, the action points of this story were second only to the actual romance between Robbie and Kelly. I loved seeing how much Kelly was yearning for Robbie since, again in the previous two, it had been Robbie who was largely yearning and Kelly was oblivious. The reason for that ends up being actually explained in this and we have our first openly asexual character in Kelly. It's amazingly well done given that sex has already been established as being part of the lore of the mating process between werewolves.

Now we have a two way tie between this and the original novel in the series for which one was my favourite.

I'm not sure I can properly give this one the justice it deserves. Per usual, T.J. Klune is a master at creating the most tender story of family, both blood and found, that hits the heart (and emotions) like a freight train. Like the first two in the series, I enjoyed every second I got to spend with the Bennett pack. Heartsong is fast paced, emotional, both heartbreaking and heartwarming, and as an added the bonus, the banter is the absolute best!

Many thanks to NetGalley for the ARC of this one. I'll be eagerly anticipating the release of Brothersong next year!

TJ Klune does it yet again. The characters and the world are hard not to love when they are so perfectly described for the reader. After reading this book, this has quickly become my favorite of the Green Creek Series! I would highly recommend this book.

I loved House of the Cerulean Sea and I love this cover.
I am learning that fantasy romance isn't for me, and booktok needs to stop stuffing it down my throat. I keep giving it chances, when I shouldn't.

The Green Creek series is the special werewolf series you didn’t know you’ve been missing!

Robbie has always wanted a home, a pack. And we all thought that the Bennetts were it for him. So why is he working with Michelle Hughes and her witch, Ezra, and why does he think that the Bennetts are the enemy? When Robbie realizes that some of his days are missing, and starts to feel that maybe all is not as it seems, he follows his instincts to get away and finds himself in Green Creek where he doesn’t remember the pack that he used to love.

This might be may favorite of the Green Creek series (and Klune’s writing) so far! The concept is original, the plot well paced, and the characters unique. I felt so much for Robbie, Kelly, and the whole Bennett pack while reading Heartsong! Can’t wait to read Brothersong next.

Special thanks to Tor Publishing Group and NetGalley for providing an ARC of this novel!

TJ Klune does it again. Amazing at creating characters and worlds that you care about. I didn't read the other books in this series and that would make this book a lot better I am sure. But overall, this is a great book! I'm going back to read the other books in this series.

I liked this one less then the others, but it was still very good. I think I just like the focus to be more on Ox as a character. Overall, a very enjoyable read.

This is my first time reading TJ Klune and I was hooked by Heartsong right from the start. The narrative voice is really strong with a fantastic use of poetic repetition. I connected to the characters and their stakes really well. Now, the squishy middle did get a little squishy and "beat the dead horse" overmuch, but there's so much good here in the way pack, family, and self are defined. The way memory is used as a principle and springboard. All the secondary characters shone and felt important and again that sense of familiarity of family in-joking and teasing rang true. Finally, there was a weave of humor that ran through the book that appealed to me.

I think readers of fantasy, folklore, LGBTQI romance, and those who shapeshift will howl for this one. It was a pleasure to read.

This series makes me ugly cry and also makes my heart insanely happy.

This book is about Robbie and Kelly. Robbie is just the absolute sweetest and one of my all time favorite characters. He’s struggling to find where he belongs and his home. What he goes through in this book is painful. Reading about Kelly and his feelings was painful. Their relationship is beautiful and heartbreaking in equal measures.
It’s hard to say more without giving spoilers.

This entire series is a must read!
