I loved this book! I devoured it in only a few sittings and wish there was more to read. The story line was paced very well and the characters were easy to love!

So excited to read the next book from TJ Klune. They are one of the sweetest humans on the planet and truly cares about their readers. IM SO EXITED FOR WHAT HAPPENS NEXT FROM THIS AUTHOR

I did not finish this book. Not because it wasn't good. But, because I realize I had not read the first one in the series. I do enjoy T.J. Klune's writing. Once I read the fist in the series, I'll finish reading this one.

Thanks to Netgalley and Tor Publishing Group for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I don’t know how I’ve managed this, but this is the first story I’ve read by TJ Klune and it didn’t disappoint. It’s also the first book I’ve read of this series and you can bet your ass that as soon as I’m done with this review, I’m off to find the rest of the titles in the Green Creek series and binge read the hell out of them. What is sleep, anyhow?
I love ensemble casts in movies and shows, and this story doesn’t disappoint. Full of humor, loss, anguish and deep love, it kept me hooked and telling myself that I’d tackle chores after one more chapter…which turned into many chapters and no completed chores.
If you’re into amazing world building, ensemble casts of characters, wolf shifters and magic, this is the story for you.

This was maybe my favorite of the series so far. I liked how there was an element of dramatic irony from reading the first two books, but that still left so much to puzzle out.

In this third installment of the green creek series we get to see further inside the packs bonds and relationships. This story is by far the most emotional, and it's hard not to fall in love with these characters. I found myself crying and laughing with them through the entirety of this book. Found family, love, and needing to belong are very dominate in this story. With a pack of wolves, witches, and humans who have the most hilarious banter. I absolutely adore the relationship dynamics between all of these characters and can't wait to see where they go from here.

I really struggled with getting into this one. I’m not really giving with the writing style nor the characters. I’m also struggling to keep up with the plot. I’m really sad I couldn’t love this series as much as others do, but I’m glad I gave it a shot. I’ll be trying some of the authors other works in the future though so maybe I’ll find something I like. I did enjoy that with each book we focused on a new pairing with the over arching plot for the entire series, however it didn’t work out to my likings.

When Ravensong ended the pack had declared a stand against Michelle and then we saw Robert Livingstone (boooo hiss…err growl?) joining with her. War brewing, things were looking intense. So when Heartsong opens with Robbie living a quiet-ish life as second to that so called alpha of all Michelle, it’s confusing to say the least.
Flash back, flash forward, fever dream? What is going on.
Well. When you find out what’s going on it’s infuriating, to say the least.
And there starts to story of Robbie getting to his real pack, the Bennetts - of course! Even with things looking so mixed up, where else would our (sentimental) ridiculous hipster glasses wearing wolf belong?
Book 2 will always be my favorite - mystical moon magic bullshit, pining for ages and team human - but this one is so close to my heart. Circumstances being what they are - being deliberately vague to avoid spoilers - Kelly and Robbie spend the majority of it in a very weird place. All their struggles, theirs and the packs as a whole, are worth it to see how they come together in the end.
Full disclosure - this isn’t my first time reading this series. I borrowed it from the library back when it was Indie, and was incredibly excited to see it picked up by Tor so even more people would find it (and I could buy my own copies to keep)
While it’s not entirely new to me, it has been about a year since my last read so there was so much I’d forgotten - emotional damage will do that to you! I fully expected how sad certain parts were going to hit, was less prepared for how angry I got at others.
That said, I didn’t cry *less* at the end this time…
And I have to say it is *very* hard to not just dive into the last book!
Thank you to NetGalley and Tor for the arc!

Tj Klune is an author that can do no wrong. I have yet to read anything by him that doesn't evoke tears, provide a world of relatable characters, or absolutely destroys me in the best possible way.
The story was a bit confusing at first but once it starts rolling, it's easier to navigate. The Bennett pack is hands down one of my favorite fictional families. I'm looking forward to getting my hands on the conclusion of their series.

"Heartsong" by TJ Klune is the third book in the Green Creek Series, a fantasy romance sensation. This installment focuses on Robbie Fontaine, a character in the series, and explores themes of love, loyalty, betrayal, and family.
Robbie Fontaine has always longed for a place to belong. After the death of his mother, he moves from pack to pack, forming temporary bonds to prevent himself from turning feral. However, his life takes a turn when he receives a summons from the wolf stronghold in Caswell, Maine. There, as the trusted second to Michelle Hughes, the Alpha of all, and a cherished friend of a gentle old witch, Robbie learns the true meaning of being part of a pack and having a home. Yet, a mission from Michelle forces him into the field, making him question everything he thought he knew about his place and the world around him.
As whispers of traitorous wolves and wild magic circulate, Robbie is faced with the challenge of distinguishing friend from foe. Amidst the chaos, he discovers that one of the alleged traitors is Kelly Bennett—the wolf who may be his mate. With mysteries unfolding, Robbie seeks answers, and the truth has a way of revealing itself, promising to shatter everything. "Heartsong" explores the complexities of pack dynamics, the search for identity, and the impact of revelations on relationships.

TJ Klune can do no wrong in my book. This is a rerelease of an older publication, but the skillful writing and well crafted characters stand the test of time. It is a compelling third book in the series! Recommended!
GIfted copy from NetGalley and the publisher.

Heartsong, the 3rd book in TJ Klune Green Creek series. In this book we focus on Robbie Fontaine perspective. Robbie a werewolf who joined the Bennett pack after going through a time of disparity. This book is character driven and heavily emotional. It’s a story where you can’t help but feel the emotional turmoil the characters are going through.

I accidentally requested this book thinking that it was the first in the series. I decided to see it through - and honestly I am so glad that I did. I was able to understand the world fairly well even though it was the third in the series. I was also able to experience Robbie's story from an outside perspective which allowed it feel like a feverish dream the whole time - unsure of what would actually be in his memory when he gained his memories back.
This book is adorable and I really enjoyed it. However, right after I request this book, I began to see some people pointing out problematic issues with the author on Tiktok lately will not be posting a review online. While I am disappointed to say that, I truly stand behind authors' who do not exploit the suffering of other's for their personal gain - inspiration or not. If you are confused, this has to Indigenous population in Canada where TJ Klune gained inspiration for some of his books. It feels insensitive, especially knowing TJ Klune has not directly been impacted the situation.
Back to the story though, it was a good book, and therefore I am disappointed that I won't be feeling comfortable to purchase any more books by this author and sharing them with other's.

This one was the best one in the series so far! I thought the plot flowed really well and it was a different take than the other two stories. I still find the narrative style a little jarring, but overall I liked this one, I liked the characters, and I really love pack mentality.

Heartsong by TJ Klune put me through all my emotions! First, I'm always so pleased when Klune puts representation in all his books. It's really so refreshing. This book is a beautiful blend of story and romance. Robbie just kind of bounced around between packs not really forming any meaningful bonds with anyone. He's eventually summoned by the big Alpha, and everything changes. Robbie learns who he can trust, where he belongs, and how importance found family is. Some trigger warnings are, blood, attempted murder, kidnapping, gaslighting, memory loss, and violence.
I received a copy of this ARC through NetGalley and the publisher. Thank you!

The third in the Green Creek series does, for me personally as a reader, suffer slightly from being a "middle child" of a book series. There is a higher demand for subsequent books to be "more" in every aspect and this one didn't hit that feeling for me.
However, I feel that Klune showed his mastery as always in this book. The main character experiences a heartbreaking abuse - gaslighting as shown with magical amnesia and hostage situations. The struggle with coming back to oneself and those who love and support them is depicted deftly. The breadth of representation in this series has been enjoyable to read and experience.

If you haven't already read Wolfsong and Ravensong, then stop reading this review. You'll be very confused, and it will spoil the other two books.
At first, I thought the opening chapters were flashbacks. But we soon come to realize that Klune isn't describing Robbie's life before the Bennett Pack, but rather a life that has been created. Robbie was kidnapped, and his memories stolen. When he's finally brought back into the fold, the whole pack is fractured. Robbie can't remember them or what he's done to them. Worse still is that Kelly, his mate, has had his wolf taken from him and is now human. Of course, this all can be tied back to one person, Robert Livingstone.
So far, this has been my favorite entry into the Green Creek series. Robbie was always more of an outsider character to me in the other two books, and I liked following his story and learning more about him. The relationship between him and Kelly was so sweet to follow. Kelly is asexual, and the way they interact is so loving and caring. They both describe their love as endless, and that's how it feels on the page.
There are still a couple pitfalls for me. I wish there was more description of how the magic worked. How is Robert Livingstone so overpowered? Is it just because he's a straight psychopath? Literal years have passed in these books, almost decades, and still, there isn't another explanation beyond it's dark magic. Also, Klune sets up the rules of the world, only to continuously break them either because the Bennett pack is special or because Robert is so strong. I'm starting to hate the phrase "and everything we knew was wrong." It's a tired recurring theme in this series.
The other big whiff for me is how the characters talk. They're all meant to be in their mid-twenties to forties, but the men seem so juvenile to me. If I didn't know their ages, I would think they were all teenagers. They're all so angsty. Maybe it's because wolves age slower, so it is like they're teenagers. It just made it hard for me to picture the book.
Kelly and Robbie are two little cinnamon rolls, and I loved watching them figure each other out. There is a lot of pain and remorse in this book, but it's so lovely. TJ Klune has wonderful prose; it's easy to get lost in his writing. While a few things could have been touched up, I still loved reading this book.
Thanks to NetGalley and Tor for the ARC.

Gay werewolves(part 3)? Found family? Love that will make you sob happy and sad tears? YES.
I am an avid reader and lover of TJ Klune’s writing. He has absolutely become a MUST read author for me. When it comes to the Green Creek series, I firmly believe that it just gets better and better with every book. Heartsong was no different.
I laughed. I cried. I was angry. I cried some more. I was happy. Oh so happy! I love this world & these characters so much.
I am a SLEEPY girly who goes to bed by 10pm most nights. This book and the rest of the Green Creek series had me staying up until the light of morning in some cases.
I don’t think i’ve ever finished a series faster. Hooked for life. Can’t wait to have the rest of the beautiful books on my bookshelf!!

What a journey this book takes you on. A reaffirmation of the importance of family and the ties that bind. I loved returning to these characters and seeing them fight to reclaim their family bonds. I also enjoyed the bit of mystery plot and how this book advanced the larger narrative taking place in this series. This series is so well written and it feels like coming home with every book.

Have your tissues ready, because this book is one emotional journey.
“Heartsong” is the story of Kelly Bennett and Robbie Fontaine, written in Robbie’s POV. This takes place after “Ravensong” with Robbie in Caswell, Maine as the second to Alpha Michelle Hughes. He lives with the witch of the pack, Ezra, and after a lifetime of bouncing between packs, finally has one to call his own. However, after a trip to visit another wolf pack on behalf of Michelle, Robbie learns that not everything is as it seems, and maybe these dreams he’s been having of wolves might actually mean something.

When Robbie encounters the Bennett pack, he’s told that not only does he have a mate, but he’s been missing for over a year. However, Robbie doesn’t believe them as he has no recollection them. But the more time he spends with Kelly and the rest of the Bennett pack, the more the truth unfolds.
This book is filled with so much. From watching Robbie fall back in love with Kelly, to the pack becoming one after everything that’s happened, to the cliffhanger at the end. I’ve always loved Robbie since meeting him in “Wolfsong,” and so glad we finally got his and Kelly’s story. You’ll laugh, cry, rage, and fall in love again with the Bennett pack. I didn’t want Kelly and Robbie’s story to end, but now we must move onto final brother’s story.
