A slow but terrifying story about love and betrayal… and ghosts.
Now I want a hen as a pet.
Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the eARC.

Find Them had me hooked within the first few pages. I enjoyed the plot and most characters. Especially Biddy 😂. This was a good spooky read, perfect for Halloween. I really did not know how it would end! The possibilities were all neck and neck the entire time, so I enjoyed the “who” not being obvious out of the possibilities. I wouldn’t say it was a fast read for me, even though it was around 300 or so pages. There was a lot of inner thought and it tripped me up, particularly the thoughts and over explanation that are included in parenthesis. At first I thought it was a pre-editing thing, but it’s consistent throughout the book and gives a feel that the reader is not smart enough to know simple things. The MC’s diction was more suited for the historical characters, not modern at all most of the time and it made it hard to connect with how she was described in the beginning. Overall, I did enjoy the storyline and it definitely had my attention and hit the mark for a spooky read.
Thank you NetGalley and Julia Ash for the free ARC in exchange for my honest review.
Another amazing story by Julia Ash. Just like her previous books Find Them kept me on the edge of my seat.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for my copy.
This was amazing. I did struggle with the format available due to my vision issues but that didn't take away from the story. Haunted house stories are hard but they pulled it off.
Lot 16 was never supposed to be sold. The property sat on a lake, surrounded by a wildlife preserve, with 30 beautiful acres, perfect for Nora and Dex’s forever home. After Nora has an accident at a train station, Dex and Nora decide it’s time to leave the city and start a family. They find a piece of property in Pennsylvania that holds a local family’s history, a history that the family is determined to keep in the past.
I love a good ghost story. I like them spooky, but not terrifying. I like it spooky enough where I feel I can continue reading when I get to a scary part, but not so creepy that I can’t read on. This book was the perfect balance of spooky. There were so many times I wanted to close my eyes when Nora is alone in her house dealing with an evil ghost, but I HAD to keep reading to see what the ghost was going to do next and see where the story was going. It clearly didn’t want her in that house and she was a fighter! But what was the secret this ghost and its family was hiding? This is a great book to read around Halloween. It’s 100% a ghost story, and I loved every minute of it!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thank you to Julia Ash, Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA), Members' Titles, and @NetGalley for an advanced copy of this book!
I find this book to be quite enjoyable, though there were several times where it seemed quite repetitive and also a bit contrived, like certain things were forced to happen in order to further the story along at that exact point. However, I was entertained from beginning to end, and though I was correct about who it was in the end, the author created enough uncertainty and doubt in my mind for me to start second-guessing myself at a couple points, which is always fun. I liked it enough to definitely read other works by this author, especially her other ghost story.

This was a haunting story. Had me looking over my shoulder and behind the curtains in every room! Great read.

Thank you Netgalley for the arc.
Summary: Find Them is a ghost mystery that revolves around Nora and Dex after they move to a small town in Pennsylvania. After building their forever home, Nora starts to see a ghost, and those interactions increase until she realizes she has to solve the girl's mystery in order to live in her forever home peacefully.
This was a very entertaining read. *This review differs from my StorGraph one only in removing spoilers which can be hidden on StoryGraph but not here.*
Cons: It took me about 20% to get into it. The beginning is overwritten and tries really hard to make the main characters relatable and distinguish them as city people. Also the romance and use of "hit de la shit" made me wanna barf. If I never read that phrase again, it would be too soon. It really did nothing for the story other than give secondhand embarrassment. It's also unreasonably predictable. If you're paying attention, the ending does not come as a big reveal or a shocker, it was what was expected.
Pros: Once you get into it, you get into it. Even though it's predictable, the writing is engaging the characters become more loveable throughout the novel. Nora is the person in a horror movie that would die first for sure though, maybe by the end she grew into a person that could be a final girl but I'm unsure of that. Biddy and Madeline are def my favorite even though they're both just side characters. Biddy was a solid Hen-Dog and Madeline has a personality that is so inviting.
Find Them is a dark, twisted horror.
Nora and Dex decide to start their retirement dream early. They buy lot 16 and immediate start building their dream home in the middle of nowhere. Of course, they immediately find out the land has something to tell them and that’s why it was never supposed to be sold.
We have a real dark history in this one full of family secrets. I love a story where someone in the current day is trying to solve a cold case mystery in a small town. Give me all the random interviews, archives and microfilm! I thought the characters were very well written and interesting, and the diary entries were a great addition to tell the story of the past.
The only thing that could be a detriment here is that the story and the mystery is quite simple, so fans of the genre will be able to pick up the story very quickly and the big reveal won’t be so surprising. I also personally felt the pro-firearm rhetoric was a little overdone.
This was a haunting mystery that was a fun read for spooky season. I enjoyed the descriptive writing of both the setting and the characters, and was drawn in from the beginning. The mystery was built up beautifully, and was happy with how it all came together in the end.
I loved this book. I read it in two days. I kept reading. The story line was just so well done and such a great mystery. I loved Nora's character and how brave she was to "find them". this book kept me up till 1 am because I didn't want to put it down. I recommend this to anyone looking for a good mystery store.

LOT 16 WAS NEVER TO BE SOLD. Generations pass and the estate's directive is overturned. Situated on a grassy hilltop overlooking a lake and wildlife preserve, the 30-acre parcel is perfect for Nora and Dex.
Haunting, gripping, tense, chilling and atmospheric. Find Them had so many elements that I love in books.
Nora and Dex decide to leave the city behind after a frightening event that left Nora shaken. They decided to leave the hustle and bustle of city life behind in lieu of building a home on a relaxing and scenic parcel of land overlooking a lake. It is the beautiful and idyllic refuge they are looking for. But Lot 16, which they bought, was never meant to be sold.
Small towns have long memories, and the locals claim the land is haunted. Then things begin to go bump in the night, the daytime, heck things go bump at any time! It appears that locals were right, their home/land is indeed haunted. A ghostly apparition (Isabelle) and the words FIND THEM begin to appear.
This was very well written and I loved the whole story and the interactions with the ghosts.
Thank you for allowing me to read an ARc
This was a good book! I was hooked from the first chapter and I constantly wanted to know what was going to happen next. I liked Nora and I was glad that she was able to heal from her trauma. The mystery was good and I liked how it was solved. My biggest complaint was that the ending was a little predictable. But, overall, it was a good book, and I would definitely recommend it!
This was a haunting story. I like the writing style of the author. She wrote a captivating ghost story that kept me interested. I am looking forward to more from her.
Find Them by Julia Ash follows the main characters, Nora and Dex who recently opted to upheave their whole life to move from DC to rural Pennsylvania. Unfortunately, what seems like the perfect parcel of land from the old William's Farm is not quite the perfection Nora thought it would be. Between the sink holes, screaming wind, and accidents something is a little off. Well, turns out it's haunted and things are definitely going bump in the night... and daytime, and really all the time. And those "bumps" aren't all that polite, in fact they might be deadly for her and Dex. She has to figure out who is haunting their new forever home, and why, before they're forced to leave, or worse. Find Them is a fast paced, supernatural thriller. The setting is a farm in Pennsylvania and the small town around it. It's dark, mysterious, and fast paced.
Honestly, this was a great read. I don't normally read supernatural thrillers, but they've always intrigued me. So, when I saw this one it piqued my interest. First of all, I loved Nora. She is tough as nails, protective, and kind to boot. I think what I loved most about this was we got to see Nora solve a giant mystery all while still doing all the things that make her, her. She has a husband, a sister, a farm to run with some very cute chickens, and a job to boot. The whole time she's investigating she is still doing all the things she normally does. I think I especially loved the idea of a city slicker to a country gal who has the best sidekick ever, a chicken named Biddy. Nora also deals with some PTSD after an assault and I appreciated the representation, as well as how she fought to get through it and through freezing. I enjoyed watching the bond she has with her sister, Madeline. It's clear they would do anything for each other; make eggs for breakfast, pour you a glass of wine, and fight a ghost with you. However, I cannot say the same about Dex. I always love a strong female character, but I found Dex wanting for more. I know he definitely wasn't a major player in this book, but I was just like seriously dude? You don't have a stronger opinion toward your fighting a deadly ghost? Really? I just didn't like his personality with Nora's, it didn't make sense to me.
Ash did a wonderful job at creating supernatural characters. Isabelle, the "ghost apparation" haunting the farm is sympathetic. As Nora uncovers the secrets of the farm using locals, historic records, and a sent of diaries you find yourself wanting to solve the msytery for not just Nora, but for Isabelle too. I enoyed the timeline of Nora find the diares and uncovering the past in a way that's imagative and not just facts. The story was well written, creepy, and had some surprises and scares that kept the story going. Though I loved reading this book, it didn't quite hit five stars. I think the book I would've enoyed a large deep dive into the mstery and history of the occurence. It seemed just a little too convienant and straight forward for me. However, it was overall a four star read and an awesome book!
Thanks to NetGally, who gave me this ebook in exchange for an honest review.
Nora and Dex leave the city behind after an accident occurs suddenly. They trade their city life to live a quiet life in the new home of their dreams. Things look promising until issued plague their build and strange things start happening around the house.
After coming off of a book I didn't find to be creepy at all, I had high hopes for this paranormal thriller, and it did not disappoint. The paranormal elements start off small and build on each other, getting more unsettling as they go.
I really enjoyed the writing and character development. It was great to see Nora, an already likeable character, become more likeable as she faced the paranormal in her new homestead. I also enjoyed the added diary elements to get more insight into the other pivotal characters. Unfortunately for me, the twist wasn't as surprising as I would have hoped, though I did enjoy the overall end of the book.
Many thanks to NetGalley, Independent Book Publishers Associstion, and author Julia Ash for allowing me the pleasure of reading this ARC.

I did not finish this one, it was not for me, I couldn't relate to the characters, and just did not care for the story.
Like your Horror implacable? Like ghosts with Juggernaut energy who just.won't.stop? Looking for long-unsolved unfinished business holding spirits back from finally entering the Afterlife?
FIND THEM has all this maximally, in addition to an anxiety-ridden protagonist who experiences a near-life-ending event, only to discover she and her beloved husband are unwanted in their newly constructed "forever home." No, not by neighbors; they haven't any. Not by Wildlife. By GHOSTS! FIND THEM is wonderful, simultaneously heartwarming, heartbreaking, and terrifying. I fell for Nora, Dex, Nora's sister Madeleine, and in-the-past characters Isabelle and Victoria. Author Julia Ash pens villains who will turn your hair white; while the character evolution is plausible and super-appreciated.

Haunting, atmospheric murder mystery that grabs you from the start. The setting encapsulated the spooky story of Lot 16. Enjoyed the dual timelines by way of the diary entries. Only drawback would be fans of more advanced mysteries/plots might find it a bit too easy, as the main character could have been written to be a bit sharper on the hauntings. Still a great read! #findthem #juliaash #netgalley #goodreads
This was a an awesome ghost story that featured 2 ghosts - the first is a young murder victim looking to name her killer, the second an evil entity that torments Nora and Dex. Initially Nora and Dex find the perfect property and begin to build their dream home on it. The land is locally believed to be haunted, but Nora and Dex don't believe in such things. They soon learn that ghosts do exist, and that they have the ability to manipulate the here and now. Dex is quickly removed from the picture as the sinister ghost attacks and seriously injures him. Nora is left alone in her investigation to uncover what really happened to Isabella., knowing that they will have no peace until the mystery is solved. She has her farm chores and her 'studies' in town - and this keeps her very busy. She gets to know the history and prominent people of Boulder, all the while inching toward the truth. The clues revolve around the members of the victim's family, and it leaves you dizzy as you learn about the different manipulations she suffered at their hands. It was wonderfully set up. In the end, I was right about the killer, but not in the right way. I love a mystery that stumps me! This was so entertaining, spooky without the horror, containing great twists! Again, awesome!
