A solid, cute and quick holiday-ish read, if you need a quick fix or good flight book. A few things irked me, and I found myself disconnected a few times. Our MC prides herself on her job, as an HR executive, and yet she has absolutely NO agency whatsoever to get herself away from a sexist, extremely inappropriate boss. I found that frustrating and odd based on her characterization. Also, our hero Lucas, is meant to be American but definitely doesn’t read as such. The slang and Americanisms are off and clunky at-best. I don’t believe that will deter most UK readers, and it’s not a deal breaker- just a small irk that took me out the book a few times. Overall, their love story is sweet and I really enjoyed their maturity and banter. It could use a lot more chemistry or sexual tension to make it more memorable, but if you love a good Hallmark movie, this book is for you.
Thank you NetGalley, and the publisher for this eARC in exchange for my unbiased review!

Sarah and Lucas's relationship started off as a fake dating ploy to get her boss to stop hitting on her. Lucas was in the UK for a locum job only for a few weeks during the holiday then he'd go back to the US for the new job waiting for him in Houston. Sarah on the other hand had sworn off dating since being jilted five years before during the holidays.

Going into it, Sarah made it clear that she wasn't interested in a relationship. That didn't stop Lucas though. He pursued her because he felt drawn to her and wanted to see how good they could be together. I loved that he also revived her love for the holidays.

Lucas's sister Harper was going through a divorce. I loved how Sarah saw a kindred spirit in her and helped her to get through it. Harper was a cheeky one and had me laughing at some points.

Sarah's workplace friends were amazing. I loved how they rallied around her when things got complicated, and how they pushed her towards her happiness. I enjoyed this holiday romance!

Thank you to Netgalley and Publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I received a complimentary copy from the publisher and all opinions expressed are entirely my own.

This is my first Tracy Corbett book that is also set around the most wonderful time of the year. Only for Christmas is perfect for workplace set dramas. It tells the story of Sarah who works in Human resources and Lucas a doctor working at the same hospital as Sarah who decide to fake dating. The book was well paced and the characters quite lovable .

The wait was finally over, to read and review the new Tract Corbett offering. Some interesting characters, but well written and very enjoyable. Thank you for the ARC.

Thank you so much to NetGalley for this advanced copy!

I love Christmas romance, especially fake dating. This one just wasn’t for me.

I didn’t know this would be 3rd person perspective and I just can’t connect to the story as well. The FMC has a superior at work that is very obviously harassing her, but she does nothing to report him. She fake dates the American FMC to keep her boss away. Of course, this doesn’t work. He gets worse.

The MMC was a sweetheart and made her love Christmas again. However, as an American, I think the author wasn’t up on her American lingo. A lot of what he said sounded very European/British. Not an issue, but it made his history less believable.

Only for Christmas

Before the first snowflake even flies, I'm ready for a good cozy up Christmas/Holiday read.

Pros:
- Author's shoutout to Duluth, Minnesota & Lake Superior (among other MN references)
- Main male character, Lucas, has golden retriever energy and makes a good cinnamon role book boyfriend
- Fake dating trop - always a sucker for the pretend dating but really falling for each other

Cons:
- The "boss" character in the book is major red flags and instead of spending so much of the book, tolerating it (especially when the main female works in HR) - I'd rather this storyline get edited out; It wasn't a story line that made the fake dating trope worth it.
- The ending felt a bit cliche - wrapped it up quickly and epilogue I felt like was done before. Though it is a HEA which I do enjoy.

Thanks to Netgalley, Canelo and Tracy Corbett for this ARC, in exchange for my honest opinion.

This was a fairly quick, cute holiday read. If you like hallmark movies I would definitely recommend giving this one a try. Although I could have done without the subplot of the story, it was still an enjoyable read.

**thank you to netgalley for the opportunity to read and review this book**

A very cute and enjoyable read. Could have done without the antics from Stephen bringing the tone down, but I understand why they were included. Point made. Seeing Lucas discover London while being so nice to everyone was heartwarming. Much better than the stroppy cross main character trope.

Hot American doctor, Lucas, takes a position in the UK for a month to be closer to his sister and his nephews. Doctor meets grumpy Sarah who swore off men and hates Christmas. Sarah finds herself to be in a predicament where she needs the help of a man. Specifically, hot doctor Lucas.

🤩 Only for Christmas was a really cute, quick, feel-good book. I loved the banter, the golden retriever American doctor, the grumpy fmc who hates Christmas, all of it. I was kinda thrown off because Lucas is American, but often speaks with British wording/lingo. I just personally feel like he didn’t feel truly American, especially if he’s supposed to be born and raised in Minnesota. But other than that it was a really good story, would definitely read again around the holidays! I saw a lot of reviews that didn’t like the assault in the book, but I found that was a crucial point to the story that showed that there are men out there who don’t stop when women say so. They keep escalating in their behavior, and sometimes end up in worse situations than Sarah. All stories have that point in the book where things take a turn for the worse and the couple breaks up before getting back together and that’s exactly what that point was. It was needed, it was important. I love how Sarah was able to learn to relove the things that she used to. I love how Lucas was able to find someone who loves not only him, but his nephews and sister as well. Really cute, heartwarming story overall!

First thought: Super cute Hallmark like book that leaves you with all the warm fuzzies. I loved the characters, the story and all the tropes. It was just very well written to pull you in and I didn’t want to put it down. But be warned it does have some dark undertones.

Sarah is the head of HR at the hospital she works at, she’s good at her job but she’s learned to keep her work life separate. Five years ago she was was left at the alter in-front of all her colleagues and family on that day she vowed never to let another man decide her fate. She has since built a life that quiet and protected not letting anyone in that could hurt her again.

Lucas is an American DR working on a temp assignment in London while he helps his sister figure out her divorce. He is a down right good guy always looking to lend a hand and step in to help when needed. He has always wanted to be a family man and find his true love but things haven’t worked out yet for him.

Lucas ends up renting the apartment under Sarah in her building and later he finds out his new hospital also is where she works. Sarah is being harassed by the new boss at work and Lucas steps in to save the day by pretending to be her boyfriend. Her boss does not take the hint and thing continue to escalate and things turn a bit dark.

Will their fake relationship turn into more? Can Lucas breakdown the high-walls Sarah has built around her heart? Will Sarah continued to be harassed by her boss or will she be forced to quit the job she loves? Will Lucas stay or still leave after Christmas? Time is ticking down in December and all will be revealed soon. This book has a lot to offer, it’s told in Dual POV so you get insight to both MC and a lot of great tropes.

Tropes you’ll find:

* Fake Dating
* He Falls First
* Jilted Bride
* Workplace Harassment/ Stalking
* Closed Door Romance

"Only for Christmas" is a delightful, festive romance that captures the enchantment of the holiday season. The book cleverly weaves various romantic tropes like fake dating, grumpy/sunshine dynamics, forced proximity, and workplace romance, making it a captivating read. Sarah and Lucas, the main characters, are endearing with fantastic chemistry and banter. However, it's worth noting that the workplace conflict and harassment elements introduced a darker tone, which, for a Christmas-themed book, might not be everyone's cup of tea.

A charming, festive romance to get you in the mood for the most magical time of the year!
This one has a few different tropes, including fake dating, grumpy/sunshine, forced proximity (neighbours & colleagues), and a workplace romance. I really enjoyed getting to know Sarah and Lucas and their growth throughout the book - they were super sweet characters with great chemistry and banter! But when it came to the workplace conflict and harassment, this was slightly too dark for me for a Christmas read.

A sweet Christmas story . Sarah is trying to avoid the flirting of one of her coworkers so she tells him that she is dating the new doctor of the hospital she works . Lucas is in London for 1 month to help his sister who is having problems with her marriage . He and Sarah end up being living into the same building and work to the same hospital . He helps her avoid her sleezy coworker . Will the fake datinf became real ?
I received this book from netgalley and the publicer as an ARC . Thank you . All thoughts and opinions are my own .

A great feel good winter read that hits you in the feels. It was interesting to read a book set in England rather than the US. I had to look up some of the terms and it made it easy to relate to the Main male character who is also from the US.

I really loved this book it has some of my favourite tropes.. Fake Dating, Workplace, Grumpy/Sunshine and Holiday.

I loved Sarah and Lucas. This book gave me vibes of the Hallmark movie called The Mistletoe Promise. It was similar to that.

🎄Fake Dating

🎄Holiday
🎄Sunshine/Grumpy

Only For Christmas is a fun, lighthearted, and emotional that will have you feel like you are in the middle of a Hallmark movie. I love reverse grumpy sunshine and these two characters absolutely fit the bill! Sarah is an HR manager trying to ward off the advances off one of the doctors where she works. When she meets her new neighbor and coworker she comes up with the perfect plan to fake date him…he’s only going to be there a month so no problem, right? I loved these two and the chemistry between them. Their banter had me laughing all throughout the story. I felt like the plot was well thought out and I enjoyed the lightness of it even though it did have some emotional times. This is my first book by this author and I’m looking forward to reading more by them!

I’d not heard of this author before picking up this book so wasn’t sure what to expect. The writing style is simple and easy to follow, using a plot done many times before, and the fake dating trope.

I’m a sucker for the whole fake dating turns real trope, however the whole workplace conflict and issues of consent ruined this book for me. Way too dark for a Christmas read.

If you were to remove that, you would have yourself a nice lightweight read that could be finished in an hour.

Thank you to NetGalley for a copy of this book in return for my honest review.

Absolutely loved this book. It reminds me of this one Christmas movie on hallmark called. The Mistletoe Promise This book was well thought out and I loved every minute of it. It made me want Christmas now. The characters were perfect.

I'm a sucker for fake dating turns to to real feelings and this one doesn't disappoint in that regard. I just really didn't like the whole Stephen subplot. It felt a little over the top and I would have liked some of the time spent on him given to more scenes with Sarah and Lucas to let their chemistry shine.

Thank you for Tracy, Netgalley and Canelo for my ARC copy in exchange for my honest review!

This lighthearted Christmas book was adorable and easy to fall into. I found myself halfway in almost no time, just getting sucked into the plot and characters. It felt like reading a Hallmark movie!

Sarah, an HR manager at a London hospital, is fighting off the unwanted advances of a pushy male colleague. What better way to do so than pretend to be dating someone, and who better than the hot American doctor visiting for Christmas?

Sarah and Lucas were reverse grumpy x sunshine, and I love a black cat FMC who falls for the golden retriever MMC. While they both had a lot to work on, Sarah’s growth arc was my favorite. Lucas was just what she needed to get things back in gear!

There was plenty of humor, emotion and tension through the book to give it depth. While the main story is sweet, there’s mentions of harassment, grief and what it’s like to be a woman in the workplace.

Grab your copy on September 28, perfect for getting into the holiday season (and dreaming of a trip to London) 🎄
