A fun (but also quite serious at times) Christmassy read with a beautiful happy ever after! I fell in love with Sarah after the first line, cried with her and felt all the warm fuzzy feels over Lucas!

The downstairs neighbour reminded me of a mixture between my Nan and Dot Cotton!! Stubborn and outwardly scary but harmless!

An enjoyable tale of a woman who’s afraid to love and has just buried herself into work. Really enjoyed all the characters - even the grumpy neighbour and the sleaze ball! An enjoyable Christmassy read (in the middle of August)

Beautifully written, compelling and thought provoking, I was drawn by the cover and blurb, not one I would normally read but I’m glad I did, im recommending this to my book club as I’d love to chat about this to others, thanks to net galley for the advanced copy.

I forgot what this book was about the next few days after, which is never a good sign. I thought the story was slightly typical however the characters were engaging and interesting!

The romance felt natural and their relationship was actually super sweet. However, the sister thing and her story, I felt we could do without. The sister and her relationship was causing me anxiety but it was never closed off in a satisfactory manner.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for this ARC.

Mein Leseerlebnis

This was such a good book! I enjoyed every page and was never bored!
I loved that there was a holiday aspect to it, but it also focused on the careers of the characters as well as their own lives. It was cute, sweet, and fun!
It also included some real life scenarios that I found comforting to read about. As a working woman, I feel that there are certain things that don’t get talked about too much because it makes people uncomfortable. But I was thankful with the way that the author wrote about it.
The romance in this book was truly lovely, and I wish there was more written about these characters!
I highly recommend this book!

This was so cute. I absolutely loved this. I do wish it had more Christmas type stuff in it though since it’s a Christmas novel. If you like fake dating, Christmas, and cute/funny banter then this is the book for you. I laughed so much reading this and it was very fast pace and enjoyable.

4 stars!

With a wide range of supporting characters, this book features some interesting situations, including some real-world issues that women face everyday. If the creepy hospital administrator was toned down a bit, this could be a Hallmark Christmas movie. There's your classic meet-cute, followed by a 'knight on shining armor' moment, and then the fake dating where, naturally, they end up falling in love for real.

Such a sweet romance. It felt like a Hallmark movie. Fake dating has become a new favorite trope of mine. It was a lighthearted romance with enough romantic comedy to make you smile—a cozy read for sure. One thing I did find strange was the main FMC was head of HR and yet she seemed to be concerned about reporting an issue that occurred between her and her superior. As an HR administrator, I would think she would not have batted an eye on this situation however I do get sometimes when things happen on a personal level, the individual acts differently.

Outside of that, it was a fun, sweet read and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

This was a cute Christmas read in spite of some heavier thematic undertones. Which serve as the catalyst for our fake dating plot. Sarah's boss just gave me the heebee jeebee's, showing how well written of a villain he was. Corbett does a really good job of balancing those awkward work place encounters and relationships.

Character wise, while I could see and empathize where Sarah's reservations on relationships came from, they did seem a bit extreme. Lucas on the other hand was a great sport and true gentleman. I loved all the crazy situations the two kept finding themselves in that pushed them together. This makes for a genuine connection to build between the two. The open communication between them was refreshing. And I really enjoyed watching Sarah start to let loose. I also adored Mrs. Kelsey and her spiky personality. She was a great addition for comic relief. As was Georgia. If you're looking for a heartwarming holiday read and can look past the TW's, this is a great one to add to your Christmas TBR.

Tropes: fake dating, workplace romance, holidays
TW: sexual harassment, work place harassment, stalking, assault

This was the first book that I have read by Tracy Corbett and it definitely won’t be my last.
I loved it, it’s a Romcom waiting to happen I could imagine watching it as a film as I was reading. So easy to read, I couldn’t put it down.
There were moments that you can’t help but chuckle yo yourself.
You can’t help but fall in love with Lucas Moore ❤️
Characters were great, Mrs Kelsey is hilarious.
Great read for Christmas.
Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this fab book

I loved this book so much, it’s so quirky and adorable.

Sarah works at a hospital in Human Resources. She’s single and not looking for a relationship. She had a bad breakup in the past and she avoids men at all costs.

Lucas is a doctor from the states but he’s currently working in the UK at the hospital that Sarah works at. He also lives at her Apt building.

I loved the banter between Sarah and Lucas and I do appreciate a Christmas story even if it is 100% closed door.

I received this book for free from Netgalley and publisher in return for my honest opinion.

Another good romance book set in the most wonderful time of the year (oh yeah haha) which I love a lot, and altough I was expecting something different to this one, I could appreciate a lot the narrative. Some things I wasn't caught by , but the total result was pretty positive.

Sarah has a dilemma. After a less than pleasant workplace experience, she enlists hot neighbor Lucas to fake date her to save her from uncomfy situations at work.

Honestly, I really enjoyed this book. It was fun, and I enjoyed the relationship between Sarah and Lucas. If you are just looking for a light and fluffy Christmas read, I think there are better choices. This dealt with inappropriate workplace conduct that Sarah was a victim of, so trigger warnings on that front.

If you don't mind dealing with some heavier issues, this was a charming and festive read, great for sitting by the fireplace and curling up with a cup (or glass) of something to keep you warm! ❤️

Reading ‘Only for Christmas’ by Tracey Corbett felt like watching a hallmark Christmas movie or watching a romcom! 🎄

This book takes place during the holiday season in London. Sarah, an HR manager, meets Lucas, an American doctor who will be working at the same hospital only for a month. He also happens to be her new neighbor who she ends up fake dating.

Although there’s harassment in the storyline, I still think it was a cute read, but I just wish it wasn’t included. Personally I just think it wasn’t necessary but I still loved the rest of the storyline.

This book had me kicking my feet at times!! Definitely loved the sunny/grumpy and the fake dating tropes 🩷😩

Thank you Netgalley and the publisher Canelo for sending me and eARC as an exchange for an honest review 💌

No spoilers !

I absolutely loved this book. It was the first I have read from this author and it absolutely won’t be my last. Her writing it amazing and I could envision this whole world she was creating. Both the FMC and MMC were fantastic characters and I always love dual point of views so this was perfect for me !
‘Only for Christmas’ has a brilliant storyline as well as bringing the Christmas elements into it. There are some dark themes within the story which i think brings the twists and turns that we need and keeps us on our toes.
Overall this book is brilliantly written and I couldn’t put it down, it’s a heart warming novel that has me smiling throughout.
Thank you very much to NetGalley, the publisher and author for sending me this arc ebook. All opinions are my own

I don't know if this book is as "totally fun" as the covers says but it definitely was festive !

This novel is so much more than just a Christmas romance !

It balances between very cute moments between Sarah, an HR manager in a London hospital, and Lucas, her American new neighboor who also appears to be a doctor working for a short time in the same hospital, and (trigger warning) some really less cute scenes where Sarah is sexually harassed by one of her bosses.

I don't know if the work dynamic should be that bad for a festive romance (even if Sarah has several very good colleagues, who make nice secondary characters, as is Harper, Lucas's sister).

I really liked this book because of Fred the dog and that Sarah's background explains well how she feels and why she brakes so hard before falling for Lucas. Sarah and Lucas both smartly communicate, with kindness and understanding, that's very adult.

This book was a sweet, light-hearted and festive read to get you in the mood for the Holidays! I love reading holiday books set in London and this one did not disappoint.

Fake dating turned into real love is the premise of this book and I think it was mostly done well. I do feel like more time could have been spent with Sarah and Lucas actually falling in love because it felt like they just met at colleagues and then it went from a kiss. to Lucas professing his love for Sarah. I did feel like the sparks were perfectly between the two, it just felt like the story missed a little with them actually falling in love. In the same sense I feel like too much emphasis was set on the creepy boss at the hospital and him being this super stalker to Sarah, honestly they could have done without that whole part and the story wouldn't be lacking.

Overall I feel like this was a festive and quick read for anyone who loves Christmastime in London!

**thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the advanced copy of the book.

This was such a cute holiday book! It is charming, hilarious and digs deep into relationships, wanted and unwanted. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys romcoms.

I love romcoms and I love Christmas so I was looking forward to reading this one! It did not disappoint. Sarah, the MFC, enters into a fake dating agreement with her superhot neighbour, Lucas. They are total opposites….so how are they going to make that work?! A fun romcom is the result. Some topics were a little too heavy for this type of genre (ie consent) but all in all a cute read. I also liked the main characters were in their mid-30’s.

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC!!
