What a great summer read! I Love Annabel's books and this one has been her best to date. Beautiful place to set a book and has lovely characters.
This was a simple, fun, easy and quick read. The perfect type of book for your holiday, beach, pool kind of read. This is a first for me by the author and one I enjoyed and I would read more of their work. The book cover is eye-catching and appealing and would spark my interest if in a bookshop. Thank you very much to the author, publisher and Netgalley for this ARC.

A will they, won't they summer romance read set in warmer climes. Just what we need to escape the British weather.
Loved the characters (even the spiky ones) and the story line with beautifully descriptive text for the location it was a lovely novel that I enjoyed reading.
I’m a massive fan of The Chateau series and this was no exception, possibly my favourite.
Olivia and Nico have been friends forever until Nico throws a spanner into the works while travelling.
Both continue to live separate life’s still keeping in touch with a close long distance friendship.
When Olivia gets a call from Nico one day out the blue asking her to come to Italy for his wedding everything Olivia thought she knew is thrown into turmoil.
Follow the story of Olive and Nico while Annabel French describes the stunning countryside of Italy.
Full of love and romance and a beautiful friendship.
Thank you NetGalley for an ARC of this stunning summer read.
I absolutely loved this book and couldn’t put it down, I raced through it but equally didn’t want it to end! The setting in Italy was dreamy and described with such descriptive detail it felt like you were there. The characters were relatable and brilliantly brought to life pulling the reader in and leaving you invested in their journey. The storyline had enough twists and turns to keep you guessing and the pages turning and it is a perfect piece of romantic escapism. Can’t wait for the next one
This is one of those fun, feel good, second chance stories that is entertaining and enjoyable to read. Although quite long it is easy to read and you feel as if you can immerse yourself in the story and have fun with it.
Loved the characters, the humour, the setting and the story as a whole. A feel-good read with great characters you can at times relate to. Family, friendship, food, love and Italy. What more could you want?
Thank you NetGalley and Avon Books for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.
A Wedding at the Chateau by Annabel French was a lovely read. It’s all about childhood friends Olivia and Nico and them meeting up again when Olivia is invited to Italy for Nicos whirlwind wedding. The description of the setting was wonderful, so good I felt I was there in Italy also.
Another Chateau another wedding. This is the 3rd book in the series. Olivia & Nico were childhood friends and before the went off to Uni they travelled. While away Nico says he is leaving England to go back to Italy and his family. They keep in touch Olivia marries during her time in Uni, the marriage did not last but she has a son. Olivia is an events organizer. One day Nico rings her to say he is getting married and wants her to go to Italy. which she does. This is when things begin to go wrong. Another brilliant read. I can recommend this and have no hesitation in giving it 5*
I really liked this book and the characters were perfect for the story. I recommend the book to all my friends who would love a second chance at happiness.

A wedding is planned in beautiful Italy, but there is an air of unrequited love too. This is a tense
story about friends and family, with a good dose of funny moments and delicious food to savour. A heartwarming tale full of hope. A real gem to read.
Wedding’s are notorious for bring everyone together. And in the case of Olivia and Nico, life long friends who took very different paths, it seems this wedding is going to be a challenge for both of them.
Olivia receives an invitation to Nico’s wedding in Tuscany. Although reluctant to go, as she reflects on everything that was once said and what has happened, Olivia goes.
Only to find herself planning the wedding as well, and the bride is somewhat reluctant to be apart of it all. But whose wedding is really planning her dream one or that of her best friend Nico.
Taken to the warmth of Tuscany, the Italian food and the Italian lifestyle, this is a perfect read to escape and to also remind yourself that perhaps following your heart is a better answer than following your head. Annabel French, manages to capture everything that you need in the perfect Happy Ever After book and then fill it with so much more.
So lovely reading. I love books with small towns I really enjoy it.
Thanks Netgalley and the publisher for the book
A sweet story, escapism at high level. Rooted for the fleshed out characters and liked the plot

Two friends. One wedding. A love that’s long overdue… Olivia and Nico were once inseparable best friends with shared hopes, dreams and plans for the future. But as life took its course, they took very different paths – leaving them with a challenging long-distance friendship. When Olivia receives an invitation to Nico's wedding in Italy, she can hardly believe it. Despite her happiness for him, she can't help but reflect on the roads not taken and the promises once made. As she arrives in the picturesque Tuscany, disaster strikes. The wedding venue has fallen through and Nico’s wife-to-be is a total Bridezilla. Love is definitely not in the air and Olivia is the only person who can help. Can she put her feelings aside for the sake of Nico’s happiness? Or will her presence cause more problems than it solves…?
My Opinion
This is a series that I am really enjoying. Each book can be read as a standalone. Olivia puts her doubts to one side and helps to plan Nico's wedding when the original plans fall through. It soon becomes clear that Olivia is not the only one having doubts about the wedding. This was a wonderful, second chance romance. With some lovely descriptions this is going to make for a fabulous summer read.
Rating 4/5
In this fun romance novel, readers travel to Tuscany with Olivia, whose best friend Nico is finally getting married to Sophie, a budding influencer. As wedding plans fall through and Sophie seems to dislike Olivia, Olivia ends up taking on the position of bridesmaid, best friend, and wedding planner just three weeks before the big day. As things progress, Olivia and Nico begin reconnecting and finding their way back to friendship, but this throws his soon-to-be-married status into a questioning position. Set against the charming Tuscan countryside, romance seems to bloom -- just perhaps not with the people who are getting married and have troubles of their own. French’s characters are charming and charismatic, and the dynamics between Olivia, Nico, Sophie, and Olivia’s son (as well as with other minor characters), are clever, engaging, and dynamic. The tropes and the narrative elements combined together create a fun dynamic and a romantic atmosphere for the characters, and the atmosphere and emotional tone of this novel are particularly enjoyable and engaging. French’s latest novel is a fun, trope-y (in all the good ways), heartwarming romance built off a solid friendship, and her characters are the life and heart of this charming Italian romance story.
A truly beautiful story that is so reminiscent of real life. The friendship between Nico and Olivia and the secrets that are hidden within the relationship is a great tale to follow.
This was wholesome, cute, and everything that you want a second chance romance to be! Give it a read!
I received a free copy of, A Wedding at the Chateau, from the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This is book 3 in The Chateau series. Nico, Olivia's bff, is getting married in Italy. Olivia used to dram about marrying Nico, now he is marrying someone else, and she is invited to the wedding. Olivia is a lovely person and friend, one we would all like to have, Sophia not so much. This such a sweet story of friendship and romance.
Nico and Olivia, best friends during their gap year travels, make a drunken pact in Thailand to marry each other if they're still single at 40. However, fate has other plans. Nico unexpectedly changes his university choice to Florence, while Olivia, feeling left out, heads to Reading. It's the first time they've been apart, leaving Olivia stressed about the transition.
Meanwhile, Sophie, whose life was meticulously planned, finds herself pregnant during her first year at university and marries the baby’s father, only for the marriage to end in divorce five years later. Now a single mom to Jacob, she's rebuilding her life when Nico invites her to his wedding in Italy.
This story explores the themes of second chances, friendship, and the importance of embracing life's unexpected twists. It also highlights the need to listen to one's inner voice and the courage to speak up for what we truly want. Through its characters and their journeys, the book emphasizes the joy that comes from focusing on others and making room for new experiences.
