There is nothing better than the.Dynamic Duo of The Lincoln Lawyer (Mickey Haller), and Retired Detective Harry Bosch. Each chapter alternated their own storyline with the goal of overturning the verdict of a young mother who is in prison for the shooting murder of her husband. The detective work by Bosch was point on and brilliant. The court scenes featuring Haller were very interesting and fast paced. One Heck Of A Great Story! Don’t miss this one, it was fantastic. A Big Thank You To NetGalley, The Author Michael Connelly and The Publisher Little Brown and Company for allowing me to read this novel for my honest review..

In this new Lincoln Lawyer/Harry Bosch pair-up, Michael Connelly does a terrific job (as always) in highlighting the strengths and vulnerabilities of his two famous characters- while giving readers an exciting and intelligent legal thriller. The chapters alternate between Mickey Haller narrating his current steps in attempting to exonerate a woman imprisoned for killing her former husband, who was a cop; and third person chapters outlining how Harry, Haller’s team, and the courtroom proceedings are interacting.
The story is an appealing one, the characters are believable, and the plot twists are well placed. Some Bosch and Haller devotees, though, may dislike the hints and reveals of possible changes to come for the characters in future installments. But we’ll have to watch and see!

Having read all of the Lincoln Lawyer, Renée Ballard, and Jack McEvoy books, and most of the Harry Bosch series, this book is the best of an incredible set of series. Harry and Mickey are in top form, and it is entertaining to see them continue to develop their familial relationship despite their grand career differences. The plot moves quickly and effortlessly, giving this book true "unputdownable" status.

A slightly somber Mickey Haller, one who is still quick to act and brash at times, walks the pages of Michael Connelly's latest book, Resurrection Walk. Haller, working with his half-brother, former cop Harry Bosch, has decided to start his own version of an innocence project. He has Bosch working to sort appeals for help from prisoners across the nation, and as his his sometimes driver – but the Lincoln only moves as long as Haller is in the front seat. Bosch questions the wisdom and ethics of working for the defense team. Though he struggles with the gray areas, Bosch, as always, does his best to help right injustice, almost despite himself helping with a case theory that paints the arresting officer of a juvenile in a less-than flattering light. Haller, with the bit between his teeth, is determined to win a nearly-hopeless case after he and Bosch both believe their client – a sheriff's ex-wife, in prison for the man's murder after taking a plea deal – is innocent of the crime, and may have been railroaded into the plea deal. With several twists and turns as Haller, as is his way, attempts to help the justice system along, the book kept me entertained and waiting on each new trial development. Railing against injustice while putting his brain and quick wits to the test is Haller at his best, showcased in this thoroughly enjoyable book.

I received this book as an ARC from NetGalley.

I have loved the Harry Bosch series for years and now that he is working with his half brother, The Lincoln Lawyer, the books are especially good. The name of the book refers to a mistakenly imprisoned person being resurrected and walking out of jail.

Harry is reluctantly working with Mickey in order to have health insurance to treat his illness. "Reluctantly" because Harry has always been a cop, putting the bad guys in prison, and Mickey is a defense attorney. This case involves a woman who has been imprisoned for killing her husband, a sheriff's deputy. She claims that she is innocent.

There are details that do not add up to Bosch and Haller! They take the case. Who will win?

Lincoln lawyer, Mickey Haller and half- brother Harry are back and they are great! This is definitely a NYT #1 bestseller and deserves first place. Good characters, excellent interactions and an exciting story as Mickey defends a women who is imprisoned for a crime she insists she did not commit. Some really great interactions of the 2 brothers and their different approach to life.

In Michael Connelly novel, “Resurrection Walk,” half-brothers Harry Bosch and Mickey Haller team up to convince a judge to free Lucinda Sanz, who was convicted of killing her ex-husband, Roberto. She pled nolo contendere on the advice of her lawyer, but continues to maintain her innocence after five years behind bars. She longs to be reunited with her family, but first Mickey and Harry will have to present convincing evidence of her innocence.

Although Connelly could have put Bosch out to pasture years ago, it is refreshing to see that Harry—a tough and tenacious former homicide detective—still retains his sharp insight, honed over decades on the job. Mickey can be brash at times, but he is also compassionate, devoted to the cause of justice, and clever at using all of the tools at his disposal to achieve his goals.

Every aspect of this story works wonderfully. The plot is tight and intriguing. It involves corruption in law enforcement, gang violence, threats and intimidation, and an engrossing trial in which the momentum shifts frequently, leaving us uncertain about the outcome. The characters are well-drawn, and Connelly enthralls us with fascinating testimony in which an expert witness recreates a shooting, using a new and sophisticated computer program. With “Resurrection Walk,” Michael Connelly reinforces his status as an author who consistently produces high-quality police procedurals and legal thrillers.

A good Bosch/Haller courtroom drama. Bosch is working for his half-brother and rather reluctantly taking a (limited) part in Haller's cases. While reviewing requests to Haller's unofficial "Innocence Project" Bosch sees a case that just doesn't add up, so Haller agrees to take the woman's case. Soon the two are investigating case of a woman who has been in jail for years for the murder of her husband, a sheriff's deputy, in her front yard.

RESURRECTION WALK is described as a Lincoln Lawyer Novel but Harry Bosch plays a significant role in it as well. For fans of Michael Connelly’s worlds, this book is a gift that almost feels like a swan song (or as the title suggests, a resurrection walk, the final walk out of incarceration by the innocent.) In Bosch’s last book he was seriously ill and possibly dying. His half-brother, attorney Mickey Haller, hires him to help with an in-house innocence project, allowing Bosch to get health insurance and access to a research treatment program for his cancer. The two men work together to attempt the release of a woman incarcerated for the shooting death of her ex-husband. The tale is riveting and the relationship between the brothers is exceptional. Supporting characters from both series make appearances and they are a pleasure to encounter again. The twists in this tale are not as confounding as usual but they work. The real joy here is experiencing the characters as they age and ponder their futures. Here’s hoping we meet them again. I received my copy from the publisher through NetGalley.

There really is no greater joy than a new Connelly novel. The characters are like old friends, with new adventures to speak about. Another home run and a title I’m happy to talk up!

Another fantastic Lincoln Lawyer novel with the extra awesomeness of Harry Bosch being involved. Mickey and Harry are on the case of a woman who is in jail for murdering her police husband but insists she is innocent. Good amount of twists and turns in the story and soem interesting discourse around the use of AI in legal proceedings
Highly recommend to anyone who loves a good legal thriller

Resurrection Walk is a fast paced story involving Mickey Haller, the Lincoln Lawyer, and his half brother Harry Bosch working together to free wrongfully convicted individuals. I was immediately drawn into the story and enjoyed this mystery filled with twists and turns. This novel delivered the high level of excitement and interest I was seeking.

Harry and Mickey, together again! Resurrection Walk is mainly a Mickey book and finds the lawyer up to his old tricks, just on the side of the wrongly convicted now. The book starts with Harry going through files to find Mickey another wrongly convicted prisoner case after the high he got from exonerating the first one. It did take me a minute to get used to the switch from third-person Harry to first-person Mickey in the next section and then I spent time wondering if the joint books are always written this way and I hadn't noticed, but that's neither here nor there. I liked the mystery around Lucinda and her husband's death, though it was pretty easy to figure out who was going to actually be responsible for his death early on, though there were twists and turns along the way on the which person and why avenues. The court "scenes" were great and even a little nerve wracking at times. Will definitely recommend this book to those not already waiting patiently for it to be published. Thank you to Little, Brown and Company and NetGalley for the early read in exchange for my honest opinion. 4.5 stars

I am a Michael Connelly Mickey Haller, Harry Bosch fan

If you are somewhat new to the Lincoln Lawyer series, Mickey Haller is known as the Lincoln Lawyer, as his Lincoln is basically an office where he store his case files in the trunk of his car.
However, if you are a Netflix fan you know that the 2011 film starring Matthew McCaughey and will always be our visual of Mickey Haller!

Mickey’s half-brother is ex-LAPD homicide detective Harry Bosch.
Additionally they have daughters who attended the same university thus creating another bond.

Story starts with Haller getting his client Jorge Ochoa out of prison (one where no one leave alive) because Ochoa is innocent, Thus the resurrection walk.

Story involves many cases and I am pleased that Bosch is involved.
One of the main stories is Lucinda who is accused of killing her husband – a police officer

Bosch is working for Haller as his part-time drive but also as an investigator.
Harry is suffering from a form of bone cancer and since he has retired from LAPD he need insurance. Haller employment helps with insurance and Harry is able to enroll in a clinical trial program at UCLA Med, where he’s receiving radioisotope treatment.

Connelly, Halley and Bosch are their best! This did not disappoint!

Mickey Haller and Harry Bosch -- the dream team! Readers of Michael Connelly will LOVE this book, as it delivers everything they love and then some. For readers new to Michael Connelly, they'll love it too, and it does stand alone for those who havn't been reading previous books. The Netflix show, The Lincoln Lawyer, I think will also generate interest and get new readers. This is great crime fiction -- complicated, multi-layered, and filled with colorful characters. I look forward to recommending it.

Michael Connelly never fails to deliver. Resurrection Walk features both Haller and Bosch working together to free a prisoner who pleaded Nola contende five years earlier to murdering her husband. She has consistently maintained her innocence and she is now desperate to get out of prison to parent her 14-year-old son who is in danger of being sucked into a notorious gang. Twists and turns abound and Connelly keeps the action going while continuing to develop his characters. I hope there are similar novels in the works. Highly recommended.

Those of us familiar with Connelly's various long running series will be thrilled when half-brothers Harry Bosch and Mickey Haller team up in Connelly's latest novel. Bosch is now 73 and aging a bit while battling cancer. Lincoln Lawyer Haller (he works out of a Lincoln Navigator) is passionate to free innocent people from jail allowing a resurrection walk allowing them back into the real world. The duo becomes aware of a woman in prison for killing her ex-husband, a L.A. cop, but she insists she's innocent although she pleaded guilty to manslaughter. Taking a deep dive into the ugly side of society the half-brothers uncover corruption by police and lawyers. Fans of the Netflix series The Lincoln Lawyer will love this Bosch/Haller team-up that has a stunning climatic scene.

Resurrection Walk falls under both the Mickey Haller (#7) and Harry Bosch (#37) series labels. The story flips back and forth between the two. In order for Harry to have health insurance and be enrolled in a clinical study for his myeloma leukemia, he’s gone to work for Mickey. Mickey has just gotten a client declared innocent and he’s now keen to run his own sort of Innocence Project. Harry is tasked with reading the many letters asking for help and deciding which, if any, have merit. He focuses on a letter from the ex-wife of a Sheriff’s Deputy. She was talked into taking a nolo contendere plea when she was arrested for her ex’s murder.
Initially, I was peeved at the change from third person narrative during Harry’s sections to Mickey’s first person in his sections. But once the book gets to the court case, having Mickey’s sections in the first person worked well.
Connelly is a master at crafting both a believable criminal investigation and a well toned legal thriller and this book does both well. Kudos to Connelly for coming up with believable plots over and over again. It's very timely, with AI and geo-fencing coming into play. It’s an engrossing story and I kept promising myself just one more chapter. Given the ending, it will be very interesting to see where the Haller series goes next.
