I love this Scottish series! It's another amazing cozy heartwarming tell that only Tricia can bring to life! It's that perfect read for when you need something romantic, cute, love at first site, it just flows seamlessly leaving you daydreaming and on cloud nine. You've got your cinnamon roll, magic, chef and accents all in one with audio! Highly recommend!
The plot was a lot of fun with a decent amount of twists and turns. I don't usually read mystery and thriller books, but I really love that this one was wrapped up in a romance. I also greatly appreciated the choice in voice actors for this. The accents really brought the story to life for me.
If youโre looking for a fun cozy fantasy romance then you need to check out this series. Thereโs mythical creatures ๐ฆ, a magical order โจ, kilts ๐ and even a ghost coo/cow! ๐ป
Special thanks to @dreamscape_media for the ALC.
A sweet romance to warm the heart. Great narration and just enough heat to keep things interesting without over-doing it.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I love this series! Itโs so cozy and fun!
The magickal creatures are always my favorite. Brice stole my little heart. This book made me curious to see what other roles the order requires. A knight and a kitchen witch. Whoโs next?
The narrators were enjoyable. The scottish accent was difficult at times but thatโs normal.
I hadn't realized Wild Scottish Love was part of a series, but this can be read as a standalone. In this story we have a strong, independent woman who moves across the world, and a Scottish man who just wants to give her the world. This is absolutely a swoony romance with plenty of laughs and paranormal intrigue.
I really enjoyed it and look forward to reading more from Tricia O'Malley! The narration was done very well, too
Thank you to Dreamscape Select, Lovewrite Publishing and NetGalley for this ALC!
Thank you to the publishers, author and NetGalley for the free copy of this audio book.
I didn't read the first one in this series but it was fine as a standalone. It was an enjoyable little read with plenty of sweet romance and I loved the folklore added to it. The narrators did a good job as well.
Tricia just thank you. I was fortunate enough to read the first book Wild Scottish Knight as an arc as well, but YALL! Wild Scottish Love was amazing! I loved seeing Sophie and Lachlan again. Howeverโฆ Lia and Munroe are so stinking cute! We love an independent woman and a man that just wants her to have everything sheโs wanted. The story of the order is so intriguing and the new mythical creature that Tricia brings us makes me so excited to see what other ones we may see as the story continues! I canโt wait for the next book to take me back to Loren Brae!
Wild Scottish Love was sweet, entertaining, and magical.
Lia is a fantastic chef who is in the middle of a career crisis. A restaurant she gave her heart and soul to is now something she has to remove from her dreams. When one door closes another opens, Aaliyah is presented with a golden opportunity to become the head chef of a brand new restaurant in a historic castle in beautiful Scotland. Itโs like a once in a lifetime opportunity. Little does Lia know with this opportunity comes a treasure chest of information about herself and her family.
Monroe itโs just what I imagined, my perfect Scottish man to be. A tiny bit shy, till he gets to know you, a great businessman, and loyal to a fault. He comes from a well to do family, but yet he struck out in a business on his own, and made something for the everyday common person could enjoy and afford. I listen to the audio version of the book and let me tell you the narrator gets the accent down perfectly.
Wild Scottish Love was a fantastic and entertaining story. I love the elements of paranormal. This is a love at first sight romance, but yet has a slow burn. The banter between the main characters is absolutely fantastic. The author does an amazing job with balancing seriousness with humor. I found myself laughing out loud through many different parts of the book. Lia and Monroe work very well together. They complement each other in beautiful ways, and I loved how their relationship developed.
This was my first read from Tricia OโMalley, and I have to say she definitely gave me a story that I enjoyed. I am very much looking forward to exploring the previous book in the series and to see whatโs going to come in the next.
Wild Scottish Love by Tricia OโMalley is the second book in the Enchanted Highlands series. This book is about Monroe and Lia. Monroe was the owner of the Common Gin Company and was looking to open a new distillery in his grandparentsโ hometown. Lia was a chef from Boston, whose father was a Scottish expat. She quit her job and received an offer to become the chef at a new restaurant in Scotland. Lia is descended from a line of kitchen witches and was the next candidate to join the Order that protected a magical truth stone in a small highland village. It is a friends to lovers romance with a magical story thrown in.
This was a fun, light, romantic story that was easy. This isnโt a story that delves deep into the psyche, but it is one that leaves the reader feeling hopeful and happy. I think we could all do with a man like Monroe, who is handsome, shy, nerdy, successful and a beast in the sack! I loved the feel of the small Scottish village with so much camaraderie among the townsfolk and many mythical beasts thrown in. The story was just magical. I listened to this book on audiobook and found it to be a really enjoyable way to experience the story. The narrators seemed perfect for their respective characters and their narration made it possible to live in the story for just a little while. I would definitely recommend this book for readers who enjoy contemporary romance with a bit of magic . The audiobook was a great way to experience the story and I would definitely recommend it for those who enjoy books in this format. I am voluntarily submitting this honest review after listening to an advanced complementary copy of this audiobook thanks to Netgalley and Dreamscape Select, Lovewrite Publishing.
Such a cute and adorable magic Meets love and a needy ghost ๐ ๐คฃ. I really injoyed this book! There was just enough slow burn vs.spice with out over the top spice scenes.
Absolutely fantastic sequel!
This series is so good! Magic, mayhem & romance? 100% yes! In this installment we follow Lia who has just relocated to a Scotland after an unfortunate grasshopper incident. Moving into a castle to start a restaurant can be a bit daunting - especially if you are also discovering the magic that lives on the island as well as in you!
Full of love, family, magic and swoon worthy romance Wild Scottish Love was a great read!

Amy Landon & Will Watt did an amazing job bringing the story to life!
Thank you to Dreamscape Media for the gifted copy!
I had no idea what to expect and this was a pleasant surprise. A fun setup with the heroine leaving her job because of grasshoppers and then finding her in Scotland at a castle. I liked the idea of this magic group needed for protection and them having to find the members. The hero was a cute nerd. His insta love was difficult for me to believe, but he was still cute.
Overall a fun story with a unique setup, but at time the writing was a little weak. I'll check out the rest of the books in the series.
Tricia O'Malley is a new author to me, and I thoroughly enjoyed Wild Scottish Love! I didn't read the first book in the series, but I had no trouble doing this one as a standalone.
In addition to a marvelous romance, Wild Scottish Love is filled with magic and folklore. Low on angst, there's some good family drama, and overall it's a nice, pleasant story.
O'Malley does a lovely job describing the charming village, townsfolk, and mystical creatures.
I listened to the audio version of Wild Scottish Love and enjoyed the performances of Amy Landon; Will Watt. Both narrators are tasked with playing both main characters as well has needing to perform both American and Scottish accents. They pull it off quite well.
Nicely done!
This is a cute romance with a touch of Highlander Magic. The FMC needs a new chef job and she is approached by the castle estate to be their new chef. She decides to go and see for herself and runs into the MMC who is a shy gin distiller.
They have an insta-lust connection for her but more insta-love from him. There is the magic that comes into play and it is really just a sweet, cute fun romcomy type book. The audio narration is amazing and I would recommend it if you are in the mood for any of the above.
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for an audio ARC to read and review.
This is great fun! This is romance through and through, with insta-love, sweetness, and lots of mutual pining. There isn't a lot of tension or buildup in the romance, and the fantastical, magical elements are very "light" as well. I had not read any previous books in this series, but I did not find myself confused. The author does a great job of setting the stage and introducing all the characters. You feel a bit like you're learning along with Lia. Munroe feels pretty one-note, but he's very devoted to Lia from the very beginning and its very sweet. There isn't a ton of drama, everyone in general works together really well, and there are plenty of interesting side characters throughout. If you're looking for a lighter fantasy/magical romance, with a small town feel you may really enjoy this! I listened to the audiobook version of this novel, and while I think the narrators
(there is both a female and male narrator) were overall okay, I had to listen on a quicker speed which made the accents sound a little weird. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to provide my honest review.
โIs there anything more beautiful than a woman stepping into her power?โ
Wild Scottish Love features a romantic story with elements of magic. The story revolves around an American chef who travels to a Scottish castle to open a restaurant, only to discover her hidden powers as a kitchen witch. While the book is reminiscent of the popular Outlander series, it offers a cheekier and lighter tone. I have not read the first book in the series and believe that doing so would have enhanced the enjoyment of the book.
Throughout the book, the author weaves together elements of romance, magic, and Scottish folklore, creating a unique and engaging narrative. The comic tone adds a lighthearted touch to the story, making it an enjoyable read for fans of easy beeez romance novels. The magic elements seem a little cartoonish so I donโt recommend it to fantasy readers but it was a light departure from more serious romance novels.
The dual narration added to the story - especially with the dreamy Scottish brogue.

Iโll be honest, I requested this ALC based only on the name and cover of the book, but I was pleasantly pleased to find out that the male narrator was none other than Will Watt, whom I just recently discovered to be a new favorite audiobook narrator. I donโt usually love male narrators, but I thought he was fabulous in another book, and I absolutely loved his narration of the Scottish MMC in this one. Iโll definitely be keeping an eye out for him in the future.
Lia has just quit her job as the head chef of a premier restaurant in Boston. As luck would have it, this miraculously coincides with a job offer to run a restaurant in a castle in the Highlands of Scotland, home place of her Fatherโs family. When she heads to Loren Brae, she plans to stay incognito to take in the town before making a final decision on taking the job, and she happens to meet the most beautiful man sheโs ever seen, Munroe. Both are immediately smitten with the other, but the town, and this job, end up being much more involved and lovely than Lia could have ever expected.
I was NOT expecting all the magical realism in this book, but I did love all the mythical creatures and magic. I was expecting somewhat higher stakes than what we got, but it was still a fun story nonetheless.
Although it was insta-love/lust, it still had a slow burn to it, and I was definitely rooting for the main couple throughout. I absolutely loved Will Wattโs narration, and lived for his chapters, and iโll probably go back and listen to the first one just for that reason.
Thank you to Dreamscape Select, Storm Publishing and @netgalley for providing me an ALC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I went into this second book of the series without reading the first and didnโt feel lost at all. These characters were fun to follow and root for, and the story line easy to digest and entertaining. The two narrators did a fantastic job. While I felt the character development and laissez faire attitude about finding magic left a lot to be desired, I would pick up an OโMalley book again. 3 perfectly pleasing stars for me.
Did I realize this was book two when I started... No I didn't. But I loved it so much that I now have to go back and read book one!
My only issue with this book is that I have never known younger Scottish men to refer to women as "Lass" so much. That being said I didn't mind it :P
Munroe is the man that I will now be comparing all other fictional men to.. Thanks a lot Tricia, you have made my standards high.
