Shiloh Bellamy managed to score a highly coveted booth at the Cherry Farm Market in Traverse City, Michigan. But the festival takes a dark turn when a man entered in the famous cherry pit-spitting competition chokes and dies. When it turns out to be more suspicious than a cherry Pitt down the wrong pipe Shiloh finds herself a suspect. When they find out her cousin Stacy dated the man in question and find out he was married Shiloh feels everything she worked for is in jeopardy. With the help of the police and her trusty pug Huckleberry they hope to put the real killer behind bars. This was a very enjoyable story with a great plot and characters. I would recommend to everyone!

I enjoyed the writing style, however I found the plot a bit slow. I enjoyed that at the very end there was a recipe for homemade soap I think that was a cute detail.

This is the 4th installment in the Farm to Table mystery series. Shiloh Bellamy has a coveted booth at the Traverse City Cherry Festival and is hoping to make some strides in reducing the debt on their family farm Bellamy Farms. In the last installment, Shiloh has found the treasure her Grandmother mentioned in a letter to her and she is trying to do the right thing with her Father and Cousin Stacey to split it fairly. Her cousin thinks Shiloh is trying to keep all the money for herself when in fact it is Shiloh’s father who wants it all to go to the farm. As the festival opens, Shiloh wants to talk to Stacey to try and clear this up but instead runs into one of the actor’s Dane from Stacey’s play at the festival who also happens to be Stacey’s recent ex (as of that morning). Stacey finds Dane talking to Shiloh at her booth and goes bonkers and creates a huge scene with Shiloh but more importantly Dane her leading man who was also married. She fires him on the spot. While taking a break from the booth with Hazel (her friend Quinn’s 12 year old daughter) they go the Cherry Spitting contest and unfortunately Dane is in the competition and appears to be choking on the cherry pit. Shiloh jumps in to try and save him with the Heimlich but the cherry pit is not causing the problem. The medics arrive but it is clear to Shiloh that Dane is dead. Stacey tracks down Shiloh and demands she investigate his murder and accuses Dane’s wife Lily of being the killer. She drags Shiloh to Lily’s studio to question her. When Lily shows up Stacey disappears but then the police arrive shortly thereafter. Sheriff Milan Penbrook who Shiloh has never answered his question to a dinner date, arrives with the chief of police for Traverse City. She is warned off by both men not to investigate and Milan warns her it does not look good for her cousin Stacey. So once again Shiloh gets embroiled into a murder investigation and is treated poorly by her cousin Stacey and her Father Sully. Once again a good solid mystery with lots of suspects and many twists and turns. It appears the love triangle is finally over and I am glad for that. Another cliff-hanger at the end of the book so can’t wait to see what happens with that. Highly recommend.

This is very much on the cozy mystery side. I think that I needed to have read the first book in the series to really understand what the tension was between many of the characters. It’s an easy read but somehow was lacking a bit in the character building, Which could have been done in the first book.
The main character Shiloh has been helping her dad to get their family cherry farm up and running and she finally has a booth in the Cherry festival. During the festival a death occurs and it was Shiloh’s cousins ex boyfriend. Ex as in a few hours ex. I think a couple of things that made this book a little harder to read was:
1. Her dog I love dogs I really do but my goodness, every other sentence she is talking about her dog or her love of her dog or how amazing her dog was. I got very irritated with this dog. Now the chicken on the other hand was hysterical!
2. The love triangle. Now I will admit I am not a love triangle person so take that with a grain of salt. However these guys are like stumbling all over themselves and like so hating on each other. Ugg Love triangles. The worst.
Overall it was an easy simple read and I will admit that I didn’t see who the killer was for a while. When it came it made sense and i liked it. So this book was a 3 star book for me.

Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.

I always have a good time with Amanda Flower's books. This book kept me entertaining from the beginning until the end. I had some characters I didn't like and others that I did like. This is a typical cozy mystery, light hearted and fun, and I did not figure out whodunit in advance. I like when I can find a book that has me stumped. The cover of this book is so cute! The cover made me want to read it. I had a fun time with this book and would definitely recommend it. I would also recommend her other books. Grab a cup of coffee and sit down with this mystery.

Shiloh loves cherries, farming, and trouble - and she finds tons of each in this new installment of the Farm to Table Mysteries.

After earning a much coveted spot in the Traverse City Cherry Farm Market, Shiloh Bellamy feels like she is on her way. Being a featured farm in the festival is a huge win for Shiloh, however, her life is no bowl of cherries. Town busy body-cum-journalist, Penny Lee, is tap dancing on Shiloh's last nerve, and Dane Fullbright, a local acting professor and the married man her cousin Stacey has been seeing, dies while competing in the annual cherry pit spitting contest. There's no shortage of suspects or red herrings for the amateur gumshoe, but will she solve this crime before becoming a victim herself?

Shiloh is a gentle, likable character. The reader will be happy that she has friends like Chesney, Kristy, Hazel, and Huckleberry; but it's a bit hard to like her family. Shiloh's father and cousin Stacey are a bit harsh. And I’m just going to say it: the romantic tension between Shiloh and Quinn is stronger than that between her and Milan. It's obvious that Milan is all in for Shiloh, but Shiloh seems hesitant and twice sends Milan away in preference to Quinn. Ouch! This is a new-to-me series, so I’m not totally aware of the history between Shiloh and Quinn, but I’m not optimistic for Milan.

Based on the ending, I'm sure there will be a fifth book, but a more detailed ending to book four was the missing cherry on this cozy mystery lover's sundae.

I now want to take a trip to Traverse City, MI to go to the cherry festival. While I know that there won't be a murder mystery to solve it still made me want to take the journey during the cherry festival.

Shiloh Bellamy is trying to get her cherry farm back up and running to make a profit. For the first time ever her families cherry farm is invited for the festival. However, during the festival someone is poisoned during the cherry pit spitting contest and her cousin, Stacey is one of the prime suspects. Even though Stacey and Shiloh aren't getting along Shiloh feels the need to clear her name.

This is a great cozy mystery that hooks you on the first page and doesn't let go. It's full of twists and turns and will keep you guessing until the end. It's a great addition to the Farm to Table series, but it can be read as a stand alone.

Excellent cozy mystery series with an interesting locale (organic cherry farm in Michigan) and engaging and relatable characters. After returning to Michigan from her TV producing career in Hollywood to save the family farm, Shiloh Bellamy has found herself at the center of a number of murder investigations. It's not that she doesn't have her hands full already with an aging father not dealing comfortably with aging and health issues, a family feud over an inheritance and just trying to make the farm profitable. While honored by her farm's acceptance as a vendor at the cherry festival, she's struggling to keep the booth stocked with fresh cherry baked goods. No time to get involved with an investigation except that her cousin just may be the prime suspect.

This is the 4th book in Amanda Flowers Farm to Table series. I liked the fact that I thought I had the mystery solved, only to realize I was wrong. I enjoy cozy mysteries and this one did not disappoint. A real page turner from the beginning for sure. I highly recommend this book.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Netgalley and the publisher. All words are my own.

I enjoyed being in Traverse City for all of the cherry related activities. Shiloh really gets herself in bad situations as she tries to discover who is behind the murder. My favorite characters were Huckleberry and Hazel.

Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc. The opinions are my own.

✅ Amateur Sleuth
✅Sassy animal companion
✅Town full of gossips
✅ Disgruntled family members

Ugh, what an absolute DELIGHT to read.

This book has reminded me just how much I love small town murder mysteries.

This book was so easy to read and absolutely hilarious. Some of the older characters are so cantankerous, which is both hilarious and annoying. Like can they let Shi thrive PLEASE!

Going into this I didn't realise it was a Serise but I'm glad it is because I can't wait to go back and read the first three books. (The only connection to the stories are some of the characters so you don't necessarily need to read them in order)

Huckleberry is the best companion and the timing of his reactions are perfect. Diva, the sheep and the cat are the best addition the the story for me.

I am a fan of Amanda Flower so I was eager to read a book in the Farm to Table Mysteries Series. I have not read books 1-3 but after reading this one I want to check them out. We follow Shiloh who owns a Cherry farm in Michigan. She was able to score a booth at the highly popular Cherry Farm Market where she sells some of her baked goods. Things are going well until a man dies during a cherry spitting contest and a mystery needs to be solved.

I enjoyed this book. I liked Shiloh, our main protagonist, and thought she was an interesting character. She was complicated because she has a strained relationship with her cousin Stacey who also happens to have romantic ties with our cherry spitting victim so that makes their relationship more complicated. I’ve never read a book that revolved around a cherry farm and I thought that was a refreshing change. If you’re a cozy mystery fan you should pick up this book or start the series!

Organic farmer Shiloh finds herself once again in the middle of a murder investigation when a local drama professor dies under suspicious circumstances at the annual cherry festival. With a wide-open suspect pool and an intriguing manner of death, there are plenty of people, motives, and clues to work through.

I like the farm setting, Huckleberry the pug, 12-year-old neighbor Hazel, and most of the other characters. Shiloh is a good amateur sleuth but sometimes bumbles a bit in her personal life. I do not enjoy the family drama, most of which involves her cantankerous, critical father and entitled, annoying cousin Stacey. There is a potential romance in Shiloh’s future, and the epilogue gives me hope for Shiloh’s future.

I am a big fan of Amanda Flower’s various series. This is not my favorite but still well written, entertaining, and worth reading. Recommended for any cozy mystery reader.

Crime and Cherry Pits is part of Amanda Flower’s Farm To Table Series. I enjoy Shiloh Bellamy’s ability to be at the right place at the deadliest time. This time it is taking a break from the farm selling booth that is at the Cherry Farm Market in Traverse City, Michigan. The farm life is marvelous making you want to buy some sheep yourself or maybe not. However, I did fall a little in love with hers.

The main character is a sensible former career woman who is now a sensible organic farmer who can’t help asking questions. Also I like the supporting characters, everyone needs a Hazel and Huckleberry in their life. Yet by the end, I believe she chose the right man for a little romance. As for the murder, that man was difficult to mourn though he did have one or two good aspects. Still I did not figure out the murderer until Shiloh did, though thinking back on the story, the plot did include some pointers in the direction to look. I like a story that causes me to think back on what I read.

The only thing that could have made this story any better is if some of her cherry jam or cookies could be included with the purchase of this book. A wonderful addition to the series, simply being my favorite so far in the series. Highly recommend to cozy mystery readers.

An ARC of the book was provided by the publisher through NetGalley which I voluntarily chose to read and review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Shiloh Bellamy is so excited that her organic cherry farm got a booth in the cherry farm market in Traverse City, Michigan. she paid a lot of money to get a booth created that looks like a cherry basket. Her cousin Stacey is mad about the stocks that Shiloh found on her side of the farm. Stacey sold her side of the farm. Shiloh's Dad Sully believes Stacey shouldn't get a cent. There's a lawsuit between them. Sully treats Shiloh badly. Stacey has a big fight with a character in her play, Dane Fulbright. Stacey didn't know he was married and had some choice words with him. When Dane is participating in the cherry pit spitting contest. He starts to choke. Shiloh rushes in and tries the heimlich maneuver and then he collapses and dies.
Stacey wants Shiloh to find the real killer. Shiloh investigates with maybe a new love interest.

I really enjoyed this book and the mystery. I tend to enjoy everything the author writes. The writing hooked me right away and I devoured it in one sitting.

The annual Cherry Festival is a big deal and Shiloh was excited to be able to highlight her organic farm products at the festival. However, an unexpected twist occurred at the cherry pit spitting contest, disrupting her plans and added finding a murderer to her already full schedule.

I have been reading this series since book one and I like the fact that with each book I get to know a little more about the characters. The relationships between characters is interesting and well formed. Plus, the mystery and tease of romance kept me guessing until the end.
