I adore Spy X Family so much! This official guide was exactly what I needed as a lover of the series. All the cute facts and illustrations kept renewing my love for Yor, Anya, Twilight, and Bond. Adorable and highly recommended
A must have for any fan of the Spy X Family series. Would recommend and one my students will love. I will definitely be adding this one to the library collection.
Absolutely adored this! can’t believe it made me cry over chairs. Absolutely amazing art style as per with this artist and im such a big fan of the main series so this was definitely for me
A fun retrospective for fans of the SpyxFamily series. This book doesn't offer much in the way of new plot or information, but it is a good reader's guide to the stories and themes expressed so far in the series. If you are a fan of the Forger family, this one is worth a look.
This book made my little SXF fangirl heart go SQUEE! I can never get enough and it was really interesting to see the inspiration and to get backstory on each chapter/episode and the characters. It was gratifying to have my theory about the covers proven to me, though I didn't notice everything, so I'm not brilliant, just slightly observant. (I would never make it as a spy, lol!)
This is a HUGE thumbs up if you are a fan of this series. It's enough behind the scenes to satisfy, but it isn't seeing how the sausage is made or the man behind the curtain. Highly recommended.
I do recommend, however, that you read it in real book form or on a larger eReader, as I read on the app on my phone and my poor lil ole' lady eyes had trouble and I ended up giving up on some of the tinier print. Though I DID order this for my store and I will be picking up my paper copy when I go to work, so I didn't mind skipping some text.
4, I really appreciate the glimpse into the world of SXF and I can't wait to read the next volume that I've been saving for a rainy day, stars.
My thanks to NetGalley and VIZ Media LLC for an eARC copy of this book to read and review.
This is the perfect addition to any Spy x Family fan. All the tidbits of information were fun to read about, and the extra art included was a joy to look at! Would reccomend for anyone who's waiting for the next volume to come out! Thanks to netgalley for the eArc!
This official guide for Spy x Family will be a need-to-get for any fan of the series. It had great short stories, character profiles, never-before-seen illustrations, and interviews with the author, all of which just adds to the Spy x Family experience.

This title has color panels, commentary on episodes by the artist, character insights, and plenty of background detail that can make reading or rereading the series more enjoyable! If you pick up this title, you will not be disappointed!
Thanks Netgalley for the opportunity to read this title!
What a great addition to the series this is a perfect fit for a fans collection. I loved having all the information in one place. I do wish there was more art from the illustrators and from fans though.
This is great supplemental material for any fan of the Spy x Family main manga or anime series. It's chock full of fun facts and new information. A must read for new and old fans alike!
Thank you to NetGalley and VIZ Media LLC for a free E-arc in exchange for my honest review. This complete guide to Spy x Family features character break downs, interviews, story recaps, Q&As, and colored illustrations. Overall, it is a nice collection, but I wish it was more of an art book as I don't feel I learned anything new besides in a few of the interview sections. Spy Family already has behind the scenes info at the end of each volume, so that felt a little repetitive. Still a nice collectors item.
This guide includes overviews of volumes 1 through 9, in-depth character analyses, and author interviews. I especially liked the information about the non-main characters and the author's choices regarding each chair on the cover of each volume.
I'm glad I was caught up on the manga, because this fan guide is heavy on the manga and not the anime. The pictures and artwork are gorgeous with several new images I hadn't seen before, which was a delight. I especially liked the guest corner and got a laugh at LiSA's page. Shadow House's creator, Somato, was my favorite though.
Wonderfully engaging with lots of interviews and informative pieces. I loved the games and money sections, since it was something I wondered about when I was reading the manga.
Thank you Netgalley and Viz for the ARC.
I have just discovered Spy X Family in the past year, and already know that this book is a must add to my collection. I enjoyed all the extra artwork throughout the book, the interviews, and the little bits of side information that was in a way left open in the manga. For any collector or reader of this series, this book is going to be a must have.
If you're a fan of the Spy x Family manga or anime, this is a great collection of information about the characters and the world they live in, complete with new illustrations and interviews with the author that add additional information. Most of the information is just a compilation from the manga, but scattered about are bits of new insights and meta information about the characters that fans will be interested in (ie. what happened to the poor German Shepherd? Don't worry, Sylvia adopted him).
As a collection of color images and character tidbits, this is a good one. Certainly it made me feel smart to find that Damian really was based on Domyoji from Boys Over Flowers, but it's also fascinating to see where Endo's inspirations come from and the amount of research he does, and a lot of little story details do add to the enjoyment of the series, such as the fact that Sylvia adopted the German shepherd from Bond's introductory storyline. But the book also provides some insight into Endo himself, and the three interviews get progressively more informative as they paint a picture of a creator who started working on this series as "rehabilitation" and seems like a pretty anxious person in a very relatable way. If you're a fan of Spy x Family or Endo in general, it's worth it.
This is a pretty awesome fan guide for Spy x Family. The many interviews with Endo are great, and the extra art is so fun. Can't wait to get my own physical copy!
thank you to netgalley for the advanced reading copy of Spy x Family official guide. this was so cool to see all that went into it and some full color art!
Spy x Family: The Official guide—Eyes Only is a great informational guide for both the Spy x Family manga and corresponding anime. It's a comprehensive collection of the character, plot, and setting information, and features behind-the-scenes interviews with the creator, for an extra in-depth look. Any Spy x Family fan would love it, I sure did.
