I love working sudoku puzzles and this is a great way to train your brain. This collection of puzzles has a variety of difficulty levels.
Great collection of puzzles, and I loved that not only were there several levels of difficulties included, but there was a section of bonus puzzles with varied difficulty just for funsies! Reminded me why I love puzzles, and sudoku in particular.
I enjoy Sudoku when I play it, but I don't play it very often. Sudoku for Brain Fitness is a good mix of puzzles. It does give you techniques. It's hard for me to play electronically, but if you wanted to do it on paper, you could probably print them out.
Would be good for anyone who wants to work on Sudokus!
thank you to netgalley for the advanced reading copy. I really enjoyed this and will be getting copies for my shop.
I’m not great at Sudoku but I like to persevere and chew my pencil . This is the first sudoku book I’ve seen that gives you techniques, a number of which are new to me and gratefully taken on board! Great puzzle book with plenty of opportunities to improve through the 90 day challenge of east, medium and hard sudoku puzzles. My thanks to NetGalley for the digital copy to review.
From the same people as gave us a Logic Puzzles selection with a kind of spurious 90-day challenge/brain improvement hook (https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/5881842744) we get this – a sudoku selection. And it does pretty much what you’d expect – after an introduction that is supposed to provide solving tips and makes them look far more complex than most actually are, we get the puzzles – two a day, every day, for the mental improvement of all those who don’t see a daily newspaper and cannot download an app for that.
The easy ones it has to be said are just that – very easy, to the extent I saw a 3x3 box with eight of the numbers in it already. OK there is more to it than guessing the ninth, but all the same. I don’t call myself an expert but I solved the first ‘hard’ one here in just under six minutes. The final puzzle here offers 30 digits as pre-ordained clues, a supermarket pocket puzzle book I had to hand gives three or four fewer for the first of their top-level posers.
We then get a further, fourth month of puzzles, as if we’ve not had enough and wished to move to a different kind of puzzle by then. And, of course, the solutions. And I don’t mean to sound entirely sniffy about this – is has a place, and a puzzle book such as this bought from a bookshop will prop up the bookshop, as opposed to a newspaper magnate or a global newsagents brand. It’s just sudoku is really seeming a bit past-it to my mind, and if I knew the numbers involved weren’t completely astronomical I’d have made some flippant comment about the world having run out of possibilities by now. In 2023 I’m all about the gogen, baby. Sudoku are fine, in that slightly disparaging way that word gets pronounced sometimes. This is fine.
I received this book on NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I have long been a fan of puzzles and have known for years how much good they can do the brain. This book of sudoku puzzles is a great way to help keep the brain sharp and engaged. Love it.
Sudoku puzzles are my absolute favorite and this book did not disappoint! I loved how it started out slow, with the easy puzzles and only a couple a day. Then gradually got harder. The only problem was, I could not seem to stick with doing just the days puzzles, I consistently works ahead!
Thank you, NetGalley for gifting me a copy of Sudoku for Brain Fitness in return for my honest opinion.
4/5 stars
I loved how this was set up to ease you into harder sodokus. I've always been a Sodoku lover and I really enjoyed this book!
Renowned for keeping the brain ticking along nicely, puzzles are a great way to pass a few hours in the afternoon with tea and biscuits thrown in for good measure. That said, it can often be a tricky prospect to find ones that are suitable to you and the difficulty level you require, however, I had no such reservations with Sudoku for Brain Fitness which offered everything I wanted and more and provided many hours of solid numerical fun.
Sudoku for Brains was full of quick and easy puzzles to keep you entertained. I pulled out the pages on my iPad whenever I had a little bit of time. It would have been nice to have a little more variety and difficulty, but it was what it was advertised to be-something to get your brain going.
An excellent Sudoku book. I did not feel that I have done any of these puzzles before and was excited to dive right in!
I absolutely love doing sudoku, I feel like it keeps my brain going and gives me something constructive to do when I do not want to do a puzzle.
Turns out digital sudoku isn't the best solution for me, but I still had fun with this. Some of the puzzles really had me ripping my hair out (but still enjoying the experience). Thank you for this book.
I love sudoku! This is a great book for beginners because it has tips and tricks as well as puzzles. It reminds me of talking with my grandfather.
I've been solving sudoku since 2005, and consider myself quite good at it. So when I tried one of the toughest in this book, I was surprised that I got stuck. I was even more surprised when I found out why; there are multiple solutions! It's impossible to solve a sudoku with brain power if it's got multiple solutions, so this book should not be published!
A fun collection of puzzles. Easy to difficult. 90 days worth of fun for all levels. Get your copy now and keep your brain going.

I enjoy puzzle books and the challenges that the good ones provide. This title meets that bar.
Sudoku is an easy puzzle to learn but not always to solve. Logic and determination are required to solve the hard puzzles while easier ones can leave the solver with a quicker happy feeling of accomplishment.
This title starts with easy puzzles and goes on to medium and hard ones. They should offer hours of fun for fans.
The book opens with a clear explanation of how to solve a sudoku. There are also many strategies offered for approaching puzzles.
Those who are puzzlers will enjoy this book. It will keep its fans quite busy.
Many thanks to NetGalley and Zeitgeist for this title. All opinions are my own.
An interesting and challenging puzzle book. The various levels are sure to challenge any reader. A great and fun way to exercise your brain.
Thank you to #NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.
I start by saying that I love Sudoku, so much so that at school I did a dissertation on this, when they were just beginning to become known. I loved this book for the fact that at the beginning it gives you tips to solve them, that they go up in difficulty, and that it is in daily challenge format. The sudokus do not present errors and have their solutions at the end of the book, which prevents unintentional cheating.
