If you want to have a good time with an addictive Rom-Com that will for sure keep you glued to the pages and will make you laugh, look no further because for me, Max Monroe are the best at this for sure.
I have literally laughed out loud so many times and one particular scene was so freaky crazy and the dialogues and what was happening so hilarious, that I must have been laughing for a good whole ten minutes or so and I'm not saying that miniscule kinda laugh, but the whole blasting kind that you can't stop, and have tears streaming down your face kinda one. (Seriously I'm not even kidding)
I won't go much in the storyline because this is definitely more about the feels and just how crazy our main characters are and how their shenanigans will make you smile while being so engrossed in what's happening with them.
So Katy and Mack are fellow teachers who work at the same school. Katy teaches Math, while Mack is a music teacher and they both are so opposite to each other that you can say they are like night and day.
While Mack is an easy going and chill dude who likes to befriend everyone and anyone, likes to crack jokes and is a great guy, Katy on the other hand is a good teacher but is organised and routinely and likes things a certain way.
And she definitely hates the guts of Mack, whose neighbouring class is so uproarious, that Katy is always disturbed and hates that Mack is playing and not taking anything seriously.
In a twist of fate, when Katy lands at her holiday rental for the vacation she had been looking forward to for a long time and her bestie isn't able to come on it, due to some kinda error, Mack becomes her roomie and what was supposed to be a great holiday, she thinks will turn into a nightmare now.
Oooohh.... I loved the vacation part of the story a lot and that's definitely the place we see sparks flying both the angry ones ๐
and then the desirous ones ๐.
Mack, I loved that guy and just his sunny disposition, I felt was perfect because he never overdid anything and was an equally responsible one and a good guy, what with his ambitious Music Project. Wow, I was really in awe about his vision.
Katy, that girl is a good one at heart but knowing her background, it's understandable how she becomes the one who's had to be the responsible one for so long.
I loved how Mack becomes instant friends with Katy's dad and that scene at the end... Oh my.๐
๐
Seriously, if you want to have a blast or just read a good feels kinda book, then dive head first in this crazy and gorgeous ride that will leave you with a smile on your face guaranteed but also will make your tummy hurt by laughing so hard and paired with oodles of hot ๐ฅ times, this one was a read to have a date with.
So looking forward to more from Max Monroe. ๐
Loved loved this one. ๐๐๐๐

Max Monroe have struck rom-com gold once again with Best Frenemies. Katy is a neurotic, Type A to the max math teacher, and she loathes her carefree, easy going coworker, Mack. After a mistake by the management results in them both booking the same condo during spring break, hilarity, tension, and steam ensues.
Tropes:
โ Work rivals to lovers
โ Forced proximity
โ Only one bed
โ Secret fling
โ Opposites attract
โ He falls first
Katyโs character got off to a rocky start with me. I can appreciate a neurotic heroine, but she primarily came across as uptight and judgmental, and she never gave Mack a break even in the smallest of things. However, we learn pretty early on that she is the way she is due to her childhood and past experiences, and I quickly began to see past those issues. Mack, on the other hand, was sweet, charming, and thoughtful from the get go. And while he enjoyed purposely pushing Katyโs buttons at times, Katy figured out that he was not the jerk she thought he was. Their chemistry and banter were superb, especially once Katy let her hair (and her walls) down.
While we get to see the development of Katy and Mackโs physical relationship, which is ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ, I do wish we were given more progression of their friendship and emotional connection. That being said, it was clear that real feelings were developing between the two, even if we were not given in depth insight into it.
Overall, Best Frenemies is a fun, lighthearted, and entertaining read, and I would highly recommend it.
I received a free copy of this book through NetGalley, and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

Love, Love, capital L Love this book! So funny, so steamy, and so good! The side characters are amazing, the MCs were perfect, and the storyline was wonderful. My only small complaints are that Mack was a bit too obnoxious in the beginning for me, and there were a few instances where the MCs โbroke the fourth wall,โ which Iโm weird about. Iโm so glad I read this book because now I have about 40 books by these two lovely ladies to add to my TBR list!
Thank you, NetGalley, for a free ARC of Best Frenemies. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Cute romcom. Predictable but gave me a few good laughs. I had higher hopes after reading earlier Max Monroe books. This one just didn't give me the same connection to the characters as their earlier books.

I enjoyed this one so much! Such a quick, cute read with lots of laughs along the way! Am now going back and reading all 3 of the itโs a funny story series! All 3 are stand alone, but some character crossover made me want to read all three!

Honestly I didn't like this book and had to DNF it...
I had so high expectations for it and it seemed so good but the storyline was just predictable and the nicknames gave me the ick.
I don't think the book was that well planned.

A fun book that I needed to lift me up from some reading doldrums. Did I have some out-loud chuckles? Yup. Was there good chemistry amongst hero and heroine and their collection of family/friends? Yup. Was the HEA a cheap cliche (spoiler: (view spoiler))I'm not a fan of? Sadly, yes but willing to overlook cuz it was a mostly entertaining read leading up to it. Additionally, there were moments in the book that you realize are callbacks to other characters in the series so you may feel as if you're missing out a bit if this is your first Max Monroe, which this was for me.

First and foremost, thank you NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This book was sub-par in my eyes, but again, I realize I need to just stop with contemporary romances.
Also, I felt 'enemies' was a stretch, in my opinion, it was more like rivals.
I also just couldn't get into Katy and Mack's characters, they were hard for me to connect and like, which in turn made it hard to get into the story.

This book was cute but not for me. I got to 50% and I could just not stay interested. The sex scenes were cringy and pulled me out of the story. I have been trying to read this for over a week and it has just not been one I have wanted to pick up.

I finished this in practically less than a day, the writing style and plot was so easy to read and get through and genuinely very enjoyable. It was cute, lighthearted, and funny. The โenemiesโ part is a bit stretched considering why they didnโt like one another. Theyโre not really enemies, more rivals. This was my first book by Max Monroe and definitely will not be my last!

Omggggg I loved this book ! I literally laughed so loud while reading it. It was such a fun and cute storyline.

This review includes spoilers:
I adore the enemies to Lovers trope, especially when it's basically one-sided. Mack and Katy share a classroom wall, where Mack teaches extremely rowdy art classes. Katy on the other hand is just trying to teach math. Due to a mix up the two are forced to spend spring break together and that dislike quickly turns to lust and from there love, though both are in denial about that fact. I adored every moment of the comical love story between these two.

Like all Max Monroe reads this was a solid way to spend my day. Was it the best book ever? No. Was it predictable? Sure. Still it was a fun, entertaining read that I enjoyed lounging around my house. There are some definite cute moments and some great humor that I sometimes laughed out loud much to my dog's dismay.
Thank you to NetGalley and Max Monroe for providing me the ARC of Best Frenemies in exchange for my honest review.

Audiobook! Thank you NetGalley. I was new to Max Monroe. Best Frenemies was a wonderful, light hearted read. I am starting Accidental Attachment today! A great read!

This was a quirky vacation story. Upon reading the synopsis, I was unsure how this set up would work but that author executed it well. The romance developed in a natural way that was believable. I enjoyed this one.

Very cute, enemies to lovers, co-workers rom-com. I loved how Mack likes to get under Katyยดs skin because he knows she doesnโt like him. Perhaps I would have enjoyed band if I had a teacher like him!
Thank you for the advance readerโs copy for my honest review

Best Frenemies is a delightful page-turner that skillfully navigates the intricate dance of friendship and rivalry. With sharp wit and clever storytelling, the author brings to life a cast of characters who are both endearing and exasperating. The plot twists keep you hooked, and the humor adds a refreshing touch. A witty and engaging read that explores the complexities of relationships, making it impossible to put down.

Hilariously steamy, enemies to lovers, romantic comedy ๐ฅ
๐๏ธEnemies to lovers
๐๏ธWorkplace romance
๐๏ธForced proximity
๐๏ธOne bed
๐๏ธDirty talk
Max Monroeโs books always have me laughing out loud and Best Frenemies is right up there with the best! This book has forced promixity to the MAX and mixed with enemies to lovers, itโs just chefโs kiss!
Katy is a math teacher with a Type A personality and over the top neuroses (mainly due to past experiences). Mack is an easy going, charismatic, golden retriever type music teacher that everyone loves. They both booked the same condo for spring break and hilarity ensues. Their push and pull was fantastic and their banter had me rolling, especially once Katy loosened up. The emotional intimacy was well written and the dirty mouth on that man was ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ!
I highly recommend any book written by Max Monroe and this book is definitely a 4.5 โญ๏ธ

I love this writers humor. Her books are fun to read and her characters are the best. This is about two coworkers at an elementary school that simply donโt get along. Well Katy is actually the one with the issue. Mack is awesome. Heโs fun has a great outlook on life and is loved by all except Katy.
Katy is super excited about spring break and spending time at the beach. ๐๏ธ everything does not go as planned and they soon learn that they are double booked. What are the odds is her nemesis. Well seeing as itโs another coworkers place pretty high. This is when the fun begins.
I laughed a ton. I sort of got annoyed with Katy at times. I loved Mack. I loved seeing characters from past books. Overall I found this to be a great enemies to lovers book.
If your a fan of:
Forced proximity
Enemies to lovers
Grumpy /sunshine
This is a read you would enjoy!! ๐

Thank you NetGalley and Max Monroe for allowing me to review this ARC!
Katy and Mack are teachers who really aren't the best of friends. An unfortunate booking with a rental threatens to turn the beach vacation they both booked into a disaster but things get "heated". When they get back home Mack realizes he may be more into Katy than he thought.
Forced proximity and enemies to lovers works for this story! I love a story when the male main character falls hard quick and it takes the female character a second to realize her feelings. I am normally not a pregnancy trope person but in this story it doesn't feel awkward or ill-timed. I thought this story flowed well and I really enjoyed reading it! I would recommend to those that like the enemies to lovers trope!
