The book started out pretty cute, but I felt like it lost itself from there, One of the main things about the main character is that she is a chemistry teacher. The book didn’t involve much of her journey as that teacher but instead focused too much on the football coaches story line and his challenges as a coach.

I just wish it had developed more around the chemistry teacher and her journey and challenges as a teacher with athletes not doing so well rather than all of the plot points and conflict revolving around football,

As a women in STEM, I love a good nerdy Rom-Com. This book was sweet and cheesy, not a bad choice if this is the vibe you're looking for. I liked the leads well enough. The romance was cute and it was enjoyable. No real complaints there, it just wasn't anything extremely special to me.

The main issue I had was the info-dumping. It really took me out of the book how much backstory was dumped throughout the start of the book. It didn't really feel organic and was a bit excessive. I would've liked to be eased into the history more than have it shoved in my face.

Thanks to NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

This was a decent book. I liked Reece and Stacey’s relationship and I thought they were cute together. I also liked Stacey’s friends and Reece’s family. I wish there had been more build up to Reece and Stacey’s relationship. I also wish the book had been longer because everything felt short. Overall, this was a good book and I would recommend it!

I loved this story! I was a cute, easy read with some humor, steam, and a bit of drama. The characters were relatable, and I rooted for their relationship. This was the first book I've read of this author, and I can't wait for the next book in the series!

I wanted to say thanks to Netgalley for this amazing opportunity to read a book in exchange for an honest review. The second I saw the first chapter and realized it was in the third person immediately put me off, personally, I don't like that style of writing so when I saw it I have to admit I didn't want to start let alone finish this book. This book was a 2.5/5 I didn't like the plot or the main character to be honest it wasn't my cup of tea which was a shame because the description and cover of this book sold me I knew it was going to be a hit or miss unfortunately it was miss.

I was here for all of the themes in this fun romance read! Off-the-Charts Chemistry by Christine Miles contains friendship, romance, and spice that will have you cheering like you’re at one of the football games. It’s an easy read and I found myself getting lost in the pages.

Meet Stacey. She’s a high school chemistry teacher who swears she is destined to be a single cat lady forever. She’s had many failed relationships and is sure love just isn’t for her. Meet Reece. He’s the new head football coach. Has quantum physics and the law of attraction finally started to work in Stacey’s favour?!

This read was EVERYTHING! It was sexy and steamy, sporty, and had science to boot! While I may not understand the subject well, I totally read the chemistry in this book and am giving it an A+! Finding out this book is the first in a series is just the cherry-on-top for me. I found Miles accurately depicted the world of football, and sports in general, and how the spouse and their support (or lack of) can really impact a career.

An easy, light hearted read where you feel quite close to the characters. I got to the point where I was actually rooting for them and willing them to get together, and feeling almost worried for them when something bad happened. A quick read with a nice splash of romance and some good drama too!

This is a cute book. It didn’t blow me away but I enjoyed it overall. I found some of the writing repetitive and it felt a bit slow at times. But Stacy and Reese were a sweet couple.

Off The Charts Chemistry by Christine Miles
4/5 Stars
Release Date: September 26th
Thank you to Christine Miles for my advanced copy in exchange for my honest review

I’m a sucker for rom coms, and one of my favorite set-ups is Opposites Attract. Reading this description for this book, it felt like a fun take on the classic theme.

Stacey is a high school chemistry teacher, and isn’t looking for love. She’s had terrible luck in the past, and is content as she is. Reece is the high school’s new football coach, and when a few of his student’s grades drop, he and Stacey finally meet. The attraction is there, but, on paper, they have nothing is common. After all, he’s the football coach and Stacey hates football. These two decide to start getting to know each other and see if the chemistry is real, despite their differences.

This is a sweet book, and I enjoyed reading it. Stacey and Reece were kind and thoughtful characters, and I greatly appreciated that the conflict didn’t involve the two main characters. Rather than tearing them apart, it brought them together and made them stronger. It was a pleasant change from the standard rom com themes!

This book was very entertaining. It was great to read about a woman in STEM! It nicely balanced the point of views of the two main characters. I didn’t want to put it down.

I did not finish this one, it was not for me, I couldn't relate to the characters, and just did not care for the story.

I just finished Off-the-Charts Chemistry by Christine Miles and here is my review.

Stacey Kinsella loves teaching high school chemistry. It’s a real shame it’s missing from her real life. That is until the sexy football coach walks in on her with her shirt off and the sparks start to fly.

Reece doesn’t need any distractions from his new position as coach of the high school football team but even he can’t deny the attraction so instant, it could melt nickel.

As the two teachers spend more and more time together, they can’t keep their hands off each other but something is brewing with the 2 assistant coaches that could spell the end of Reece’s career before it even really started.
YIKES this book was too dang cute! I discovered I have a real love for STEM in my romance books and this one was fantastic! It was like a warm cozy hug in a beautiful cover. A super fun easy read.
I don’t normally enjoy books set in high school but I loved how it was written so it really did work and the small town vibes were an A++ for me. Stacey is so sweet and I usually don’t like books where I share my name with a character but I didn’t mind it this time. Reece is wonderful and I loved watching them fall in love. I am such a hopeless romantic.
I am so pumped that this is going to be a series and I cannot wait to see what is next! This book was absolutely a winner for me, especially published by an indie publishing house!

4.5 stars!

This was a light and sweet romance about a football coach and chemistry teacher. There isn’t anything too heavy the characters are dealing with, so you don’t have to worry about the emotional roller coaster many other romances send you through. A cute and enjoyable read.

A fun read, the story of Stacey and Reece, chemistry teacher and football coach. I loved both main characters and how it is told from both points of view. Looking forward to the rest of the series.

Really cute rom-com. Small and easy read!

I liked that both characters showed maturity, work through their issues. Small town romance are not always my favorite because everybody knows their business but this one was actually really cool. Fast paced and a bit quirky, Stacey take on chemistry is amazing, I would have love have a teacher like her.
