The Messy Truth by Alli Webb is an honest and inspiring memoir that invites readers into the life of a successful entrepreneur navigating both the highs and lows of her career and personal life. As the founder of Drybar, Alli shares her journey from fame and fortune to the struggles of a broken marriage and a son in rehab. With humor, vulnerability, and raw authenticity, she reflects on how she learned to embrace imperfection and rebuild her life, both professionally and personally. This memoir is a compelling reminder that success doesn’t have to be neat, and embracing the mess can lead to true happiness.

read this book if you've ever been to dry bar. or any blow drying bar cause this was the blue print. alli Webb set out to set herself up for life. but can you ever set plans? or is that just for hair?

This book could have been a home run for me. Powerful women living through adversities but the pace of this book is ridiculously slow here and several times I wanted to quit reading but powered through.
More power to the author, but this book was boring.

I had heard of Drybar before this book but I didn't know anything else beyond it being a place for blowouts. I had never lived close to one or set foot in one before. But I was interested in the title and desired to know more about how Webb sold her company and what it was like to have a business worth that much money.
Webb gets raw and honest in The Messy Truth and it felt like I was sitting down with a friend and they were giving me all the details of their life stories. I loved it. The writing was at a good pace and it didn't drag at all. Webb is an authentic storyteller and I thank NetGalley for the ARC. Five stars.
