I really enjoyed this book a lot! Always in the mood for a nice slow burn angsty romance and this one was wonderful. I fell into the world easily and it kept me wanting to "just one more chapter" the entire time!

I really enjoyed Wielders Prize! It’s the first book in the series and it had a bit of a prequel vibe to me. I really liked the technique the author used of having the beginning of each chapter be a flash back to Minas past, or interactions with Rixen.

Mina and Rixen were really sweet together and I found Mina’s shyness and inexperience so charming. While their relationship overall was a bit of a slow burn, once they were made partners the romance went full steam ahead!! One-tub is definitely a new favourite micro trip of mine haha.

I’m very intrigued by the demons and world and what will happen next. Overall was a fun fast read that I’ve had on my tbr for a long time, and I’m excited to see where the story goes!

I am shocked. I found the storyline to be one that kept me entertained. I enjoyed the magical world that the author created, and the way that she interwove storylines, character development, and the turn of events as the book developed. I enjoyed all the characters equally I didn't find that. I had a favorite one throughout the book but at times certain one spoke more to me while reading. I hope I get more in this world.

I really enjoyed reading this book this summer! It has some of the elements I love like forced proximity, magic and flashbacks (good ones!).

The main character, Aramina, is a strong woman who is not afraid of danger and I really like that in a female character.
Of course I loved the building relationship between Aramina and Rixon and I can't wait to see how they will develop.

I would say that I would have liked a little more fantasy elements.

I want to thank Melissa Mitchell,BooksGoSocial and Netgally for this ARC

I enjoyed Aramina, the main character and her bravery in the face of danger. This book is romance heavy with a splash of fantasy, so it felt like the worldbuilding was a bit underdeveloped and I would have loved to see and learn more about the world surrounding our characters.

This is the perfect recipe for a fantasy book. It has witches, demons, bonded wielders, badass FMC, Grumpy MMC and amazing tension. I'm amazed how more people don't talk about this.

I don’t know where to begin with this one.
Mina and Rixon are an outstanding pair up. Their dynamic is the absolute best. The slow burn push and pull tension between the characters is everything I want in a story. Oh and the steamy scenes ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Great character development with a lovely bit of smut to go along with it.
With some friends to enemies. Currently buying the next 3 books to devour over Christmas!

I thought, when I picked up the book, I would be facing a fantasy more than a romance. But I was wrong… (and FUUUULL of smut 💀)

I can say that this part overshadowed the growing appreciation I had for the synopsis. This book wasn’t made for me, and I feel like I’m actually reading a LOT of these lately.

So, if you’re looking for a fantasy, don’t pick this one.

Thanks for the e-book, NetGalley.

I Loved this book! It had a little bit of everything that I enjoy in a book. Once I started reading, it didn’t take long for me to be hooked.
The world building was great and the plot was a good steady one. I liked that the writer didn’t overwhelm us with information but gave us just the right amount.
The characters were well written and had good depth to them. I enjoyed reading the flashbacks at the beginning of each chapter.
The story follows our main character Aramina who is a recent graduate Lady Witch off on her first assignment and Rixon our wielder and he bonded. Together the pair are sent off to investigate the rise of demons across the kingdom. I really enjoyed the slow burn romance and I loved their chemistry.
I liked that each of the main characters had their flaws and issue that they needed to work through and how it came across in the book.

I’m looking forward to the next book in this series. I definitely recommend if you love books with witchy vibes because this one is perfect.

Thank you to Netgalley, the author and publisher for an eARC copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

This book was way better then I was expecting. A very happy surprise. It had everything you would want in a fantasy book: Demons, bonds, witches, trials, tension and romance, and epic battles. The romance between Rixon and Mina was beautifully done, and made it almost impossible for me to put the book down and go to bed. And it was very steamy and tension filled. I give it 4.5 stars, will be recommending it to my whole book club.

Thank you NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for giving me an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This was a really easy and addictive read - I could’ve easily finished it in one sitting. It is a warm fantasy romance, with a plot full of twists and turns. Although the plot is slightly predictable, it is still very much an enjoyable read.

I was really looking forward to this book as I’ve been craving a fantasy book, but unfortunately when I went to read this, this was one of the books that had technical issues while being sent to my kindle. Unfortunately, there was a time period where are Books one properly being sent from NetGalley to my kindle and unfortunately this book has I ended up in it so unfortunately I don’t have a copy to read or a view of this book, so I cannot give a review or my thoughts, but I really did like the premise and I can’t wait to pick this up in future

A lovely introduction into the world of Lady Witch, “Wielder’s Prize” takes us into a world fraught with demons that only witches, and their bonded companions the wielders can defeat. Mina, our protagonist witch, takes a journey into self forgiveness and emotional vulnerability, with her newly chosen wielder, Rixon, a burly and laconic fighter with a blemished past.

This book includes:
- demons and witches
- fear of emotional intimacy
- grumpy-sunshine
- a brooding love interest
- age gap romance
- self forgiveness
- hot sword fighting
- slow burn
- one bed and one horse tropes

I really enjoyed this book. It was short and to the point, and I really enjoyed watching Rixon’s and Mina’s trust develop. I’m so used to romantasy novels being 600 pages long, so this 192 page story was refreshing.

I’d recommend this book to anyone who enjoyed book one of “From Blood and Ash” as well as fans of “a Fate Inked im Blood” and ACOTAR. All romantasy lovers will find something for themselves here.

I received this e-book as an arc in exchange for a honest review. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher.

Thank you to Netgalley, the publishers and of course the author for gifting me this advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review.

The first book in The Lady Witch series and I really enjoyed it - full of magic, romance and adventure. The story follows the main character, Aramina (love that name), Only thing I found was at times the pace was a bit slow.

Thank you to Melissa Mitchell for letting me arc review the Wielder's Prize.

A romantasy brimming with magic, action packed adventure with demons, swords and a journey to protect the realm. Twists and turns of this story is exceptional and builds a high fantasy world that rivals the Wheel of Time in its expansive 360 degree elements and rolling outlay. Description of the writing paints a vivid world with insightful detail of the history, magic laws and dynamics political setting. Some of the story involve a lot of travel which can appear repetitive as there is a large amount of distance to cover to the end destination.

The story tells the journey of Aramina ascension to her witch powers and selection of her wielder and protector to their first assignment upon completing their training and trials. A enemies to lover romance told across two POVs of Aramina and her wielder Rixon (first and third person narration). The chemistry between Aramina and Rixon is intense, sizzling off the page build to a passionate romance with spice. I loved the dynamic character depths of Aramina and Rixon (who definitely has hidden secrets to reveal in the next book). Can't wait to see what happens next.

4.5 ⭐️s
I read this book in 2 days, I couldn’t put it down. Every other book I was reading at the same time took the backburner to this one.

This storyline is very original and unique both in the major storylines and the ones creeping back behind the scenes. Aramina and Rixon are power couple GOALS. The heat and intensity between them is intoxicating. They both share similar fears and once they cracked through those fears, they became destined for nothing but greatness.

I was so purely entertained by every aspect of this book. I look forward to seeing how the rest of the series plays out!

If you like witches and magic, mixed with heavy romance and solid world-building, this is the book for you.

I chose this book as someone who adores romantasy books based on witches, Witch Collector being one of my all-time favorites. And Wielder’s Prize didn’t disappoint. The pace was good, the characters great, the plot heavy on romance, although that isn’t something I mind. All in all, great start into the series!
