Amanda and Wendy meet and immediate connect based on their past trauma and desire for revenge. They plan to kill for each other. Elsewhere in the city, Ruth is attacked in her home by a man with piercing blue eyes. Will she feel safe again with him still in the city somewhere?

This was a good twisty read. I love a good revenge story and this one was revenge but with some added twists. I was surprised by a few developments, which I found unrealistic but very entertaining. This book will keep the pages turning that’s for sure.

“We were too late to save our kids. The only thing we can do now is kill the wolf.”

Kill for Me Kill for You comes out 3/19.

This was my first Steve Cavanagh book and I’m glad it say it won’t be the last. It’s intense with great twists. Incredibly talented work.

Such a unique and page turning story, this one will have you saying “just one more chapter” until you find yourself at the end of the ride.

a really fun take on the Strangers on a Train trope - I personally found the reveals a bit easy to figure out but it was still a very fun and entertaining book! I really need to check out his Eddie Flynn series

First read with author, won't be the last. Highly entertaining thriller. Thanks to Netgalley for the opportunity to read this book

This premise of two people, each killing someone for the other, is not new but this one has a definite unique slant on it. There's a second parallel story that takes awhile to figure out but all the twists and turns get tied up!

Steve Cavanagh is easily one of my new favorite authors. The way he tied this storyline together was so well done. There were so many moments in this book where my mouth was wide open. I did not guess one plot twist in this book. I liked all the characters. This is a fast read and def can be read in one sitting. I Highly recommend this book. Thanks Net galley for giving me this Arc.

I have always loved Steve Cavanagh's books but this one proves once again why is worthy of all of the praise!!

I went in thinking this was a Strangers on a Train thriller, and it was, but oh boy, it was also so much more. Stand aside Eddie Flynn, because while I missed you in this one, we can get back to you later...Amanda is everything right now.

Awesome book and I highly recommend.

Thank you to the publisher for gifting me a copy. All opinions are my own.

It’s an incredible face paced mystery thriller filled with so many twists and turns that you are unable to put this down!

Ruth was attacked and stabbed 17 times, then left for dead. Scott, her husband and a lawyer, is furious for leaving his wife at home that night it happened. Amanda’s daughter was taken and murdered, husband killed himself afterwards from his guilt.

I won’t give any of it away, it’s just way too good. Each turn ends up being even better than the last chapter, I highly recommend this book, you’ll love it.

This book is not for the faint of heart. It is incredibly suspenseful with a big giant twist that had me really shaking my head.

Kill For Me, Kill For You explores the dark side of human nature in traumatized individuals and what they’re capable of doing for the sake of revenge.

When Amanda and Wendy meet at a support group for the grief-stricken, they become friendly and forge a bond over drinks one day. They have decided to make a pact - I’ll kill the man who killed your child if you kill the man who killed my child. That way, they could get away with murder as there would be no reason to suspect them.

But things go terribly wrong.

I highly recommend this gritty, dark, edgy, twisted thriller. I was so invested in the outcome, I had trouble putting it down.

Thank you, NetGalley and Atria Books for the advanced copy. You can pick up a copy of this 5-star book on March 19, 2024.

"Revenge, at first, though, sweet, ere long, back on itself recoils." (John Milton)

All the wrongs delivered to your doorstep should take heed. Nothing burns at the heart more than the satisfaction of turning them into dust......at your very own hands. Nothing.

Steve Cavanagh introduces us to Amanda White who has worked her way from care giver to the actual manager of a care home. But just when her life is falling into place, tragedy strikes. Her husband, Luis, decides to take their six year old daughter, Jess, to the park one morning to give Amanda a break. When his back is turned, Jess is snatched up by a stranger. Her small body is later found. The distraught parents will never recover.

But Amanda knows the identity of this stranger even if the police have ruled him out for lack of evidence. She follows Wallace Crone continuously. Amanda has bad intentions for Crone. Crone files a report to the police and threatens to sue Amanda. But Amanda pays no attention. She's out to get Crone her way.

Later, we'll learn of Ruth who was attacked in her own home by a knife-wielding assailant. She almost succombed to her deadly injuries. Ruth suffers from intense paranoia following the attack. She convinces her husband, Scott, to live in a hotel. She remembers those bright blue eyes that haunt her. The suspect has never been found. How can she possibly live in peace now?

Back to Amanda. The police encourage her to seek group counseling and to leave Crone alone. It's here that Amanda meets Wendy whose teenage daughter was killed by her high school teacher. The police have no proof of this, but Wendy knows. Amanda and Wendy decide to take matters into their own hands. And now they concoct a plan to find justice for each other.

Pace is everything. Steve Cavanagh stomps on believability here and accelerates with high-powered adrenaline on every page. We see potholes in some areas of the plot, but we fly over them because the course of the storyline becomes riveting. We just want to know how these two women will pull this off without getting caught. Revenge is pounding in our own ears. So if you're prone to reads that jiggle the handle of crazy, Kill for Me, Kill for You is definitely it.

I received a copy of this book through NetGalley for an honest review. My thanks to Simon & Schuster and to Steve Cavanagh for the opportunity.

Two women, having lost their child to vicious monsters, meet and arrange to kill each other's monsters. In another storyline, we watch a woman dealing with the trauma of almost being killed by a serial killer. Lots of twists in this very interesting story of the intersection of all their lives. And how they live with and beyond the traumas. 4.5

The font size made this extremely hard to read on Kindle -- need more spacing between the lines! I have good vision, but I asked a friend to take a look to make sure it wasn't just me. It's not.

Thank you Netgalley for the ARC of this book. This was such a good read. The premise of it has been done many times but the execution was fabulous. Kept me wanting more and couldn't put it down.

Amanda’s young daughter was murdered, and Amanda wants revenge. When she’s caught stalking the man who got away with her daughter’s murder, she’s forced into group therapy. It’s there that she meets a woman who tries to help her. The woman suggests a “Strangers on a Train” setup. She’ll kill for Amanda if Amanda kills for her too.

Meanwhile, Ruth is awoken one night by shattering glass in her apartment. When she goes to investigate, she’s brutally stabbed. Ruth’s trauma affects everything in her life, including her relationship with her husband, who will do anything to make sure Ruth recovers.

These storylines remain separate for most of Cavanagh’s new thriller, but once they intertwine, readers will be left marveling at the Cavanagh’s corrupt creativity. What at first presents itself as a predictable retelling, turns into a traumatic and twisted story of red herrings. The story is told from multiple perspectives including not just Amanda and Ruth, but also Ruth’s husband and a detective connected to both women’s cases.

This is a must read for mystery lovers.

This was very predictable and has been done many times over.

Two women meet at a bereavement group meeting and forge an unholy alliance - Kill For Me, Kill For You, as they seek revenge against the men who destroyed their lives. As they set their plan in motion, elsewhere a determined cop pursues a serial killer, whose latest victim survives the attack. The author deftly weaves these two storylines into a breathless, topsy-turvy thriller with more than a few “what just happened” moments. This one was a blast to read that completely blindsided me and firmly held my attention from page 1. One of the best I’ve read this year, 5 supernova’s. I received an ARC of this book from the publisher through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
