Three women have something in common. They all want someone dead. Each woman has different reasons why they wish death to the men who have destroyed their life’s in one way or another, so a plan is made where they will kill each other’s intended targets. Will they each succeed or will the victims escape death? This is a very exciting take resembling the book “Strangers on the Train”.

Author Steve Cavanagh is a new writer to me , as I have not read his Flynn series. But this new stand-alone, "Kill for Me, Kill for You" just really sounded like it was in my wheelhouse & I really, really enjoyed it. I loved the contemporary twist on "Strangers on a Train" here which was such a brilliant novel, but this is even more twisty in nature & the ending blew me away! The two "killers", Amanda & Wendy and how they bond & decide to do the "deeds" are very well-written and I was often kept guessing, just wow!! Highly recommend this for all mystery/thriller fans!! My sincere thanks to the publisher & Net Galley for the complimentary DRC, my sincere pleasure to review this title.

Great book. Clever story and good writing combined to form a book that I couldn't put down! Def felt empathy for the women and overall just a good yarn.

3.5 rounded up. Solid thriller with good pacing. I think the killings getting quicker was a bit convenient at the end and frankly I didn’t need the Billy twist, but I enjoyed this enough to look past that. I would definitely read more from this author.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This was a fun book.
At first I thought it was kind of a copy cat of Strangers on a Train. Turns out it was more of an homage - and it takes an unexpected twist!
I enjoyed our characters and definitely loved how the author ramped up the tension.
I did know one of the big secrets way before the reveal, but I was happy to keep reading to see how it would all turn out.
Would definitely read the author again!

I found the whole premise ridiculous and think authors are coming up with stoy lines that are so out there, they are unbelievable.
In this one, we have a woman who carries a pacific serial killer need, that to eradicate men with blue eyes, who might have been her attacker years ago. Her way of doing so is unique, but once again I found myself wondering if there were that many people willing to kill those that harmed them in such vicious manners.
Definitely a not for me book although I know others really liked it.

WOW! This book was seriously SO good. I read over half in 1 day, I was hooked. This was such a twisty turny book not knowing who was really who - with a major twist at the end. I will be thinking about this book for a while and can’t wait for it to be released!!

An unputdownable thriller that brings a clever spin to a classic trope! I had my reservations at first because the whole swapping murders premise isn't new, but Steve Cavanagh killed it. I was kept guessing the whole time but nothing could have prepared me for brilliant after brilliant twist.
Not only is this an engrossing page-turner that examines how far we are willing to go when pushed to the brink, it also explores grief and loss so effectively that the characters' pain is palpable. I loved the nods to Patricia Highsmith and Hitchcock.
My only gripe is how unrealistic and hard to believe some parts are e.g. I can pretend the characters are so blinded by grief and rage that they become incredibly naive, but that's not how SEO works...?
Nevertheless, I enjoyed every moment and this is a twisted read not to be missed!

This is another Steve Cavanagh thriller with lots of twists and turns that does not disappoint. Amanda's story and Ruth's story are both compelling. Even the detective, Farrow, is interesting.. I don't want to give away any of the plot because a reader needs to go into the author's books with little information about the plot. Then the story takes off with many surprises along the way. I first read Thirteen and got hooked on Steve Cavanagh's other books. I hope he becomes more well known because his writing deserves a wider audience.

Amanda and Wendy meet for drinks one night and put a plan in place to kill the men that destroyed their lives. The other main character Ruth, was part of a brutal assault in her own home. The chapters are told in POV's and each chapter ends with a cliff hanger, you want to keep reading. Several twists with a big one at the end! My 1st book by this author and it is a pretty good one! Clever, Tension Filled Ride, and Full of Surprises! 3.5 stars!
Thanks to NetGalley for the advanced copy. This book is set to release in March, 2024.

This was book was so good that I couldn’t put it down! A murderer is on the loose, and Amanda White is convinced she knows who killed her little girl. While at a grief support group, she befriends a woman who says she can help her with getting rid of this man to get revenge. The twists in this book were crazy, and I wasn’t expecting a lot of them. I finished this book in 2 days because I had to keep reading to find out what would happen next!

Wow!!! Absolutely loved this one! So many twists and turns. Makes you second guess all your thoughts! Highly recommend!

I loved this different take on Strangers on a Train trope and the way Ruth and Amanda's storylines intersect was amazing! Told in multiple perspectives, it was an intense and suspenseful read that I binged pretty quickly. I really liked how this explored a morally gray area. If you like psychological thrillers involving serial killers, check this out!

Over drinks, Amanda and Wendy realize they have much in common, especially loneliness and an intense desire for revenge against the men who destroyed their families. As they talk into the night, they come up with the perfect plan: if you kill for me, I’ll kill for you.

Thank you Atria Books, NetGalley and Steve Cavanagh for an eARC of KILL FOR ME, KILL FOR YOU, releasing March 19, 2024!

I really loved Steve Cavanaugh’s series with Eddie Flynn. This was the first book I read of his that is a standalone. I was prepared to either love this and make the author an auto read or not like it as much without Eddie Flynn and possibly not read anymore. I’m pleased to say it was the former as this book was every bit as good or better than his series!
I loved the fact that are multiple story lines happening and you don’t know what to believe. Definitely you feel for Amanda but are these other characters as worthy of empathy? Who do you trust? When things started being revealed I admit I did not see some of these twists coming. Excellent writing with incredible character and plot development. Can’t wait to pass this book on to my husband.
Thank you to the author, NetGalley, and Atria Books for the advance reader copy. 5⭐️ Publication date March 19, 2024

That was an intense emotional ride! Wendy and Amanda enter into a murder pact to enact revenge in the hope of finding peace. That’s always a sound plan, can’t imagine how that could go wrong 🤣
Then there’s poor Ruth, a victim of a horrible crime, with no name to her attacker and no way to feel safe, trapped in her fear.
I was engrossed in their stories and felt the palatable suspense throughout the story. I felt the first half was a little on the slow side but did appreciate the side characters introduced and their connection to the story. I love twists that really shock you and this one definitely did.
The ending was definitely jaw-dropping and left me saying, “WTH!”
That’s all I’ll say – don’t get me wrong, I have plenty more to say, but I hate reviews that give away things or hint at things. You’ll just have to read it and decide for yourself 😉
I greatly appreciate the opportunity to read this ARC that was provided by NetGalley and Atria Books. All opinions are my own, of course.

Friends just helping friends…right?
Amanda and Wendy have both suffered horrific traumas. After meeting at a support group, they become fast friends. Sharing what brought each of them to the group, a plot begins to develop. Maybe there is potential for both to get their lives back on track.
While the build-up was a bit slow, once it got going it was like a run-away train. Wow! So, you say you want twists? Steve Cavanaugh delivers! As with all thrillers, go in as blind as possible for the best experience!
This stand-alone is a departure from his Eddie Flynn series. (Which I need to make my way back to). But it’s still chocked full of everything we enjoy from this author. So don’t miss out!
Thank you to NetGalley and Atria Books

This was an interesting book! Even though the plot twist didn’t happen until about 50% through, it still grasps your attention from the beginning. The premise of this book, killing someone for someone, while they kill someone for you in order to have alibis is a very interesting concept that I haven’t read in any other book. Just when you think you know where the book is leading, it’s surprise after surprise. I would recommend this book to those who love a good thriller!

This is my first Steve Cavanagh book and I can certainly see why people rave about his ability to spin a yarn.
I absolutely did not see any of those twists coming. I won’t give anything away, but I actually had to flip back and forth a few times as I said to myself, “Wait. What?”
Readers must definitely suspend belief for most of the book, but Cavanagh certainly keeps things lively.
Overall though, aside from the “gotcha” moments, I felt that the writing tended to be extremely over-descriptive, the pace rather slow, and the plot tended to slog until there was a breakthrough - causing this thriller to warrant only 3 stars from me.
However, those looking for a fine set of twists, or fans of this author, should really enjoy themselves.
