Taking a break from his outstanding legal thrillers, the author shows another facet of writing skills as he offers his take on a Hitchcock thriller. With two grieving women making a deal to avenge one another’s loss, the plot gets more and more twisted until we reach a climax no one can honestly say he predicted. Amazing work!

If you kill for me, i'll kill for you. What an offer, two strangers, two different worlds collide to make this a page turner. I loved the multiple viewpoints, I LOVED Gone Girl, and this gave me all the vibes.

Two women suffering from loss come up with a revenge plan based off Strangers on a Train--they will kill the men who caused the death of family members.
Well done thriller with lots of twists. I did miss the humor in the Eddie Flynn series.

Cavanagh is consistently entertaining and this latest is a belter. A recommended purchase for collections where crime and thrillers are popular.

Wonderfully twisted, well-written and gripping to no end. Fans of the genre will love this. I'll make sure to recommend this when it hits the shelves.

I'm sad to say that this is my first Steve Cavanagh book. He is such an experienced, articulate writer which was clearly displayed here and I wish I saw more of his books recommended. The good thing is, I have a lot of catching up to do.
This one had a lot of different narratives going on but was woven together so brilliantly, leaving me beyond impressed. While I have read a few plots that involve swapping murder for murder, this was one of the better takes on it that also had plenty of its own originality. This had devastating loss, revenge, friendship, and a lot of cat and mouse, giving the reader everything they could ask for in a book. I don't think there was one dull moment in this and the twists it held were genius, leaving the reader shocked and in awe of the brilliance of it. I highly recommend this one. Four and half Stars.
Thank you Netgalley and Atria Books for this ARC.

Thanks @atriabooks and @netgalley for read number 119 of 2023. My ARC was provided by the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. Wow!! This book was everything I could have asked for and more. I have read many other @sscav books, but this one might be my favourite. It was like reading an action movie, and I never quite knew what was going to happen next. That ending completely surprised me. It was wonderful how all of the different stories came together. Be prepared: you will not be able to put this book down. A ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read in my books. Make sure to check it out when it hits shelves in March 2024! ❤️❤️

Wow what a ride! I couldn’t put this one down- literally read it in a day. The story was so engaging and there were some very good twists. I would recommend to anyone looking.for a good thriller!

When Amanda's life is turned completely upside down by a murder, she in unable to cope. The only person who seems to understand how she feels is Wendy, a person from her grief group. Wendy's life is also in shambles due to a murderer and she easily convinces Amanda that they could copy the Stranger on a Train plan and take care of each other's problems.
In alternating chapters we meet Ruth, who is home alone when she is attacked by serial killer. She is lucky to live to tell the tale, but at what emotional cost?
All of these characters come together in the most unique way. You will race through this thrilling book to learn the connections and discover what is really happening! Cavanagh has created a stunning plot and characters to root for - check out Kill for Me, Kill for you! #Atria #atriabooks #netgalley #Killfomekillforyou #SteveCavanagh

What if you or someone you love were the victim of a terrible crime, a crime that goes unpunished? What would you do if someone else who has been in your shoes came to you with an "I'll scratch you back if you scratch mine" offer. What lengths would you go to for a taste of vengeance and a chance to see a terrible person get what's coming to them?
This book offers one brilliant and twisted story of just what could happen if you took someone up on said offer.
I was absolutely unable to put this down. Its heavy, there are several trigger warnings needed here. The author does a fantastic job of bringing up some violent attacks without gratuitous descriptions or details. I'm super appreciative of that.
Elegantly written. I'd never heard of the author before receiving this advanced copy from Netgalley to review. However, I'll never not be on the lookout for new books by him.
Stellar work here. Can't wait to see it on the best seller list.

3.5 stars but ill round up. I am a fan of this author and his Eddie Flynn series, so I was eager to read this standalone thriller. It’s a story of two women who go through separate and unbelievably tragic events that drastically alter the rest of their lives. They struggle with their trauma and losses in very unhealthy ways. Amanda stalks the person she is convinced killed her daughter and Wendy is desperate to punish the person she feels took her life away from her. Can they help each other with their problems or will it be to much of a moral dilemma for them to overcome? It was an easy and quick read and really enjoyed the first half of the book but then it became a rollercoaster of twists and turns, and it goes off the rails a bit for me. I will say that just when I thought I had it figured out it still managed to surprise me even if it was a stretch of my imagination. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher Atria Books for providing me with a digital copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

An enthralling whirlwind of a story that kept me absolutely engrossed!
Apart from the gripping plot, the characters exhibited remarkable depth and complexity. The main character, Amanda, is morally grey and the author deftly handles the dilemmas that she faces. Even better was the main antagonist who is difficult to not feel empathy towards, at least in the beginning. The loss of a loved one is dealt with extremely compassionately and the book showcases the myriad of ways people deal with grief.
Even though it seems obvious in retrospect, I did not put together the main plot twist until it happened. However, the ending of the book started to get a little bit out of hand and strain my suspension of disbelief. The last few plot twists started to feel forced and somewhat contrived as characters began behaving in ways opposite to how they had been written previously.
I also think this book struggled to juggle its multiple POVs. In particular, Farrow’s POV seemed to exist solely to provide exposition as his character wasn’t particularly interesting or unique.

This book was a blend of familiar, a plot I’ve seen and read before ( Strangers on a Train) updated and twisted into a thriller that kept me turning the pages.
I thought I’d had it all figured out and then wham , twists I didn’t see coming. Made for a very enjoyable and quick read.
This is my first Steve Cavanagh book and I’m looking forward to reading more from this author.
