I enjoyed this thriller. I've seen criticism about it being an unbelievable premise, but what thriller plot isn't a little implausible? I figured out some of the twists but not all, and the action moved along at a good pace.
Thank you to #NetGalley and #AtriaBooks for a free copy of #KillForMeKillForYou by Steve Cavanaugh. All opinions are my own.

Naomi's daughter was allegedly murdered by her teacher. There's not enough proof to put him away, but she knows he did it. Amanda's daughter was murdered by someone whose daddy has a lot of money so he was never convicted. Ruth was brutally attacked in her own home. She survived, she her attackers face but it won't be enough to catch her killer.
I was on a roll with 5 star reads for a while. This one unfortunately didn't catch me. Maybe it was my mood or my attention span, but it felt long and drawn out. There was one twist that seemed fairly obvious by the time it got there, but then there was another twist after that that caught me off guard. All in all, this was a good read it just didn't capture me like my last couple reads. I read it because I had it available, not because I couldn't stop thinking about it. That's what knocks it down to probably a 3.75 Star read for me. I think the biggest thing that got me is that there weren't many bad guys in this book that ever got caught. There was a constant excuse for why people couldn't be put away. I liked Detective Farrow and how he had his victims back in a crappy justice system but there was something lacking in the story for me and I'm not even sure what it was.
If you're a fan of twisty murder stories full of messy revenge and manipulation, then I would still recommend this book. Just because it didn't do it for me, doesn't mean it won't do it for you.

I was excited for this one, but it did not deliver. The premise is so silly, and I just could not get behind the way it played out.

This was a quintessential "okay, one more chapter and then I'll go to bed", only to realize that an hour had passed and I kept reading instead.
I loved how twisty this storyline was, especially towards the end as things were revealed!
I'll be honest it does take some mental focus to keep the characters straight. I even made a running list in my notes app so that I could refer back to it until I could keep everyone straight.
Overall, if you're looking for a fast page turning thriller that keeps you reading, then I would definitely recommend this one!
Thank you to @netgalley and the publisher for providing me an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion!

I am not with all the hype for this book. It did not do the things for me it seems to have done for so many readers. I am a fan of Cavanagh's, but definitely not a fan of this book.
I found myself disinterested in the book by the second chapter. I kept on reading, hoping it would get better (it happens), but it did not.
I didn't like the characters. Not one bit. I think having such a strong distaste with the characters pretty much did me in for the book as a whole. This is a book you should want to root for at least one character. I just couldn't do it.
This was definitely not a winner for me.

A fun, twisty thriller. I may have guessed a few of the twists, but not all. It was a book that kept me turning the pages.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars.
I'm in my thriller era and Kill for Me, Kill for You did NOT disappoint. I don't want to give much away but this twist on Strangers on a Train was just about perfect to me and kept me gasping until the last page.

💭: this book was nuttttts. I’ve heard great things about Steve Cavanaugh’s books (specifically the Eddie Flynn series, bumped up on my tbr) and if this one is anything like his others, I’m in for a treat😋🤝 this thriller had multiple POVs which is always a mark of a great thriller. I’m going to keep this brief because i don’t want to give ANY info that may lead you to the twist/s, but this is for sure a great psychological thriller with a great ending & you should definitely read it.

I really tried with this one! I just could not get into it. The two stories. The main characters over lapped for me and I just couldn’t get into it.

What a thrilling read! I couldn't put this one down. I thought I had it figured out, then came a twist! Highly recommend this read!

Hoo-boy - what a wild ride this book was! And I’m not sure how much to say to make sure I don’t give away any spoilers! Take the concept from Strangers On A Train, where basically two people who have been wronged decide to take revenge on the other person’s villain, ensuring that the obvious suspect would have a perfect alibi. Two women in New York City, both having suffered a terrible tragedy and no suspect has been arrested due to insufficient evidence, decide to do just that. Amanda will kill the culprit for Wendy and Wendy will kill the culprit for Amanda. We also get the story of Ruth, who suffered multiple stab wounds from a home invasion. How do these disparate stories come together?
I was sucked in from the first page. Detective Farrow was a great character and the New York City environment was spot-on. I don’t know how Steve Cavanagh writes so convincingly about NYC (in this book and his Eddie Flynn series) since I see that he was born and raised and still lives in Northern Ireland. Amazing.
The audiobook was narrated beautifully by Stephanie Cannon, both the female and male voices.

Propulsive and engaging. I COULD NOT guess what happened here — even though in retrospect, I can see the foundation being laid. Such great storytelling.

I had seen this book being talked about everywhere before even picking it up, but for some reason all the hype had me pushing it back. I decided to finally listen to the audio via Libro.fm’s program, which I’m so glad I did.
This book was absolutely mind blowing and spectacular. I had such a fun time with the Hitchcock inspired ‘Strangers on the Train’.
This is one of those thrillers that pulls you in right away and has you so invested in the story, that next thing you know you’re already done.
I definitely enjoyed this book a lot more than I was expecting to. It was fast-paced, intense, twisty, and had different POVs that kept my interest the whole way through.
There are so many detailed layers in this crazy ride of a story, I couldn’t piece it together until it was approaching the end. It’s definitely bingeable and phenomenal!
Thank you so much NetGalley, Atria Books, and Libro.fm for the review copies in exchange for my honest review!

Kill for Me Kill for You takes us on an unpredictable journey through the POV of 3 strangers and how their lives intertwine in the craziest ways possible. While the Strangers on a Train premise has been done before, I promise you the hold-your-breath, page-turning, utterly gripping twists of this story are NOTHING LIKE YOU’VE READ BEFORE! That ending tho! 😮💨 👀
Once again, a solid must-read thriller from Steve Cavanagh! 👏👏👏 Thank you sir for your twisted mind and bringing us incredibly enjoyable reads!
Thank you to NetGalley & Atria Books for the opportunity to read this digital ARC in exchange for my honest opinions.

Kill for Me, Kill for You is an exciting thriller that dives into revenge and morality. This book does not disappoint with a face-paced developing story that is as thought-provoking as it is suspenseful. It kept me on my toes and engaged during a long drive across multiple states.
The alliance that Amanda and Wendy form is as unlikely as it is morally questionable - each will kill someone for doing wrong to the other. Both women are well-developed characters with distinct voices that are drawn to each other by their shared pain and quest for justice. One of the best parts of the book is its exploration of the moral complexities of justice. This makes you question revenge, pain and the obsession with making someone else pay.
This book has similar themes to those written before it but is done so differently and so well that I was happy to be along for the twisty ride.

This was a fun, fast read! The plot twists were truly surprising. I do think the end of the book did strain credulity a bit, but I still enjoyed the ride.

Thank you so much to Netgalley and the publisher for so graciously providing me qirh this e-ARC! I am very thankful and once read will update this review placeholder with my thoughts and also review on my Social medias.

MY REVIEW:
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I know I'm behind on reading this one , but WOW, what a book!!!
And then it takes a turn , boy does it TAKE 👏🏼A👏🏼 TURN👏🏼
The amount of suspense that's built up is beyond words. I felt it in ever part of my body. I couldn't WAIT to see what happened next. I stayed up EXTRA late reading, because these POVs had such interesting circumstances, who wouldn't be hooked to their stories?
I've also noticed lately, a few of the thrillers I've picked up are written in the 3rd person, this one included, and I'm not mad about it. I'm usually a 1st person preference person, but they've just been vibin' for me recently.
And to top that, this is my FIRST Steve Cavanaugh. It most certainly won't me my last! 🤯🤯🤯🤯

In another part of the city, Ruth is home alone when the beautiful brownstone she shares with her husband, Scott, is invaded. She’s attacked by a man with piercing blue eyes, who disappears into the night. Will she ever be able to feel safe again while the blue-eyed stranger is out there?

When two strangers meet they start talking about their families and discover they both have been in some bad situations. Through their conversations they both realize there is a need for revenge and they can help each other out. After agreeing to exact thie revenge on the other persons problem they split ways and even stop communicating reguarly. But then things start going horribly wrong. Will they actually both take revenge or will something stop them?
This was a very good book and kept me on my feet. I kept cheering for the characters until things took a change and I wanted to go after that person too. It was very well written and a book I would recommend!

This book started really well for me. With Ruth, a woman attacked in her own home, and Amanda, who tragically lost her daughter and then her husband, I was immediately intrigued, wondering what was going on and how the different POVs were connected. The addition of the cop's perspective helped build the tension and I didn't see some of the twists coming. Overall, this was a bingeable thriller where you don't know who to trust and with a lot of gritty and gruesome content. it was the last 20-30% where everything went too off the rails for my taste. I would have liked to see Amanda get justice herself. For all the tragedy and drama that occurred, it was wrapped up to nicely and easily.
Thank you Atria Books for the copy through NetGalley in exchange for a review.
