Lelia and her little dog Nugget are back for another mystery. Its Bark at the Park day at their local baseball stadium and Lelia is excited for the pup parade led by Big Dog, the team mascot. Unfortunately no one can locate the mascot or the mascot costume so the pup parade is canceled; unless Leila and her friend Kate and their pups can solve the mystery! This is a good addition to the series featuring third grader Lelia Beal.
I read this with my Kindergarten granddaughter. It is an easy read and fun to read with her. The illustrations in the book are great. Following along as Leila thinks she is a detective was fun to see what she got into. Leila & Nugget Mystery would be a great add to any book collection or school library. Thank you to NetGalley, Andrews McMeel Publishing for the ARC. I am leaving this review and is my own opinion. #leila&nuggetmystery, #netgalley, #andrewsmcmeelpublishing, #detective, #ballpark
Leila, Kait, Nugget, and Baxter, once again, have jumped to the rescue of trying to save the day. They needed to work fast to find the missing mascot for the game to continue. Leila put all her little investigative skills to work along with her pals for the teams.
A cute mystery for young readers . In the final installment of Lelia and Nugget ( I want to read the first two ) ,Lelia and her dog Nugget along with her friends set out to find a stolen Mascot . This was such a fun read .
I just reviewed Leila & Nugget Mystery by Dustin Brady; Deserae Brady. #LeilaNuggetMystery #NetGalley
I received a complimentary copy from the publisher and all opinions expressed are entirely my own.
This is book 3 in a series and thus I feel shortchanged that I did not read the first two books. I absolutely loved this chapter book that is so catchy and perfect for reading with the little ones. The book tells the story of a stolen mascot and thus it's up to Leila and Nugget to solve the case. Fast paced, well written and a brilliant addition to bookshelves.
It's time to go back to this series for Book Three, meaning more very lively, yet almost cosy crime, capers for our heroines and their dogs. Just like last time (https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...) this is done with so much brio and energy the young reader cannot but like it, although anyone older will find this a bit daft. It's a day for the local baseball stadium to have everyone's dogs in attendance, but the day starts off with a potentially lethal crush, and gets worse for all concerned when the mascot returns to the dressing room to find his costume missing. Yes, this certainly has a different focus to practically all other crime books, even for this young readership, making this a distinctive pick. I couldn't say a brilliant choice, but the thrust of the story is so great and the way the girls manage to use chutzpah and nous to get what they want is superior to the platitudes I found in Book Two. A good series to dip into, then – four stars.
Leila Beal and her little dog, Nugget, are back in this third and final installment of Leila & Nugget Mysteries . Leila, Kait, and their dogs are on a mission to rescue the missing Red Dogs' team mascot.
Very cute! Great for middle-grade readers!
Cute mystery young children will enjoy. Thank you for the opportunity to read and review! Four stars
