Anything Meghan Quinn writes, I want to read. I am OBSESSED. Everything about this was my favorite. This had so many of my favorite tropes.

Well that was just a whole lot of fun! Huxley and Lottie have it all...the hate, the attraction, the love, the laughs. I was invested in their story and laughed a lot while reading it.

The middle definitely made the book for me. The ending was a touch unbelievable with the way the big lie came to be revealed, but as a reader of fiction, I'm never one to think every single detail of a book needs to be 100% believable.

If you like enemies-to-lovers, Pretty Woman-esque vibes, a cinnamon roll alpha male hero, steam, and a few laugh-out-loud scenes, then this book will definitely be for you.

I was really excited to read my first Meghan Quinn book cause I’ve heard so many good things, so I had high hopes for this one. Unfortunately, I had trouble getting into it, and I was a little disappointed.

There were some fun aspects, but I think I just couldn’t connect with the characters (they were kind of annoying) and their relationship. The story and execution were okay, and the spice was hot. I didn’t really like the ending, though. It was like a 4th act breakup that was kinda stupid and then it just ended super quickly.

What I liked most was the new cover and the art included in the book. The illustrations were awesome and I loved seeing art as I read, I think every book should have this.

Overall, it was a fine book, but the ending made it worse in my opinion. I’ll definitely try other Meghan Quinn books still, but I’m hopeful I’ll like them better than this one.

Thanks to NetGalley for the advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I loved this book! I devoured it in only a few sittings and wish there was more to read. The story line was paced very well and the characters were easy to love!

I adore Meghan Quinn and therefore it was a no-brainer when it came to reading this book. These gorgeous new covers are so cute, but they give no indication of the steaminess inside! Classic MQ, this book had it all - comedy, great characters, and plenty of tension of the spicy kind! Absolutely perfect.

If you're into romance books, you'll enjoy this. Truthfully, I kept seeing this book on booktok and I kept bypassing it because of the original cover. When two people recommended it to me (one being the same person who recommended Icebreaker also) I figured personal recs totally made up for it. I'm glad i did. Was it a quick read? Yes. It also sucks you in if you're a fan of the fake-dating trope.

Also, the brothers. You could tell it was being set up for other books (in a good way.) As much as meeting Huxley and Lottie was fun, I also knew that Huxley's brother, JP, who's introduced in this book is definitely going to be my favorite brother, so it will be fun to read his book.

I went into this not knowing anything except the recommendations. Oh also, if you're looking for spice, this book has it.

I would definitely read this again. Too little books, not enough time, but can easily see this series be a comfort series for those who read this genre, especially if they read the genre exclusively.

Meghan Quinn easily gets me back into my love for contemporary romance books every time.

I had a little bit of a hard time getting into this because I felt like the heroine was a smidge too over the top. It made for great comedy and a very cute meet cute, but it was hard for practical me to sink into. Once they started their questions, I was in. I love that trope anyway, but it helped us all to know each other well enough to root for them. This was a fun, fast light read and I really enjoyed it.

Really enjoyed this fake dating billionaire romance! I loved their banter and you could see they both loved their family. I'm very excited to read the next ones in this series!

I enjoyed this book so much! The Lamaze class scene, I literally had tears in my eyes I was laughing so hard. Huxley is hard to love at times but you can’t help but adore him. Wish we heard more about his past but I still really enjoyed.

Meghan Quinn can do no wrong. This book is another example of that. I absolutely loved the meet cute and the chips and guac moment.

Fake dating/engagement/marriage is a tough trope to execute believably but I was ALL IN with this book.

Laughing out loud, snorting, staying way up passed my bed time. This will be a book I will easily reread if I find myself in a slump.

This was my first Meghan Quinn book and it most definitely won't be my last. This book was sexy and spicy, but my favorite thing was the banter. The way Lottie and Huxley go back and forth with each other was hilarious. The public embarrassment was the absolute best. I'm definitely ready to see what happens with Kelsey, Lottie's sister and JP. Solid four stars. Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for this arc.

I loved this one!

Lottie and Huxley were just fabulous. Their story put a fun spin on the fake engagement motif. I definitely enjoyed and laughed at some of the situations Lottie and Huxley got into. And their siblings were great and had you hoping to hear more from them in the future.

I'd read it again!

This was such a cute story! I loved both Lottie and Huxley's characters. I can't wait to read more books in this series and by Megan Quinn.

Was this book realistic at all? Absolutely not. Did I love it though? Yes so much yes! Lottie and Huxley are both unlikable at times and down right childish but they need each other.

Lottie is on the hunt for a rich husband after being laid off by her best friend. Huxley is on the hunt for someone to be his fake pregnant fiancée and thus a fake engagement contract is born.

The chemistry between these two. The banter. Everything.

This was a cute book! I thought the characters were fun and interesting to read about, and the immediacy of their connection didn't throw me like it sometimes can, because it fit in the plot. I thought that the illustrations were a little distracting, but that's more of a personal preference (I'm sure some people liked them). The other thing that kind of threw me was that the descriptions of clothes and things was a bit too trendy, but again that's personal preference. I just feel like it'll eventually date the book (especially the boho hat or whatever that was). I could tell that the book set up so that there will probably be a book for each brother, and I might actually read the other books because the family interested me and I wouldn't mind reading more about them. Thank you to NetGalley and Bloom Books for this ARC!

I had a really fun time reading this book! Meghan Quinn has such a witty writing style that adds layers of humor to her characters’ dialogue while still keeping their voices unique. The romance was also very sweet and pretty spicy at times, which had me consuming the pages from start to finish! I highly recommend this book to anyone who is a fan of romance and is looking for a fast-paced, entertaining read.

4 stars.

Meghan Quinn has done it again! "A Not So Meet Cute" is a sexy, scandalous, banter-filled meet-cute-but-not-meet-cute that's equal parts bonkers and alluring. I found both Lottie and Huxley to be terrific characters (though they/their relationship won't be for every reader). I enjoyed reading about their journey as they go from disliking each other to giving in to their attraction to loving each other. Huxley is a billionaire who has put himself in a bad situation and needs to find a woman who can act like his pregnant fiance so he can score a business deal. Lottie is desperate to pay off her student loans and help out her sister's business. The two of them mutually agree to help each other out in their own endeavors, and soon enough, fake feelings in their phony relationship become anything but. Quinn's writing is funny and amusing. The spice *do be spicing,* as the youths say. I do think the ending is tied up a little too quickly and rushed. Still, this book and Quinn's prose are addicting, so the entire thing reads quickly and is very easily devourable. Fans of fake relationships, billionaire alpha main male characters, banter, and spice: apply within!
