A gentle romance sneaks in along the way to self discovery and personal growth, not just skills but emotions too. A heavier topics here on loss of a loved one. The connection between Ben and Amelia is sweet enough to make me smile.
Juniper Meadows sounds too good to be true all around, but if it existed I would want to visit and follow my creative dreams.
Here you will find:
- Greif and loss
- New beginnings and self discovery
- Uncovering secrets
- Cute flirting
Thank you to Boldwood Books and NetGalley for the ARC.

This is the second book in the Juniper Meadows series. You definitely need to have read the first book as there is a complex family history which is easier to follow if you have read the previous book.
In this book we are introduced to Ben, Hope's long lost Brother. We also catch up with Hope and Cam as the dig is progressing. Amelia is now one of the main focuses, as her and Ben become close to one another.
It is good catch up with the Travers family and have updates about the dig. There is a lot happening in this book and many characters to follow but the book is well written and I found it easy to follow.
I love the location, it is idyllic and sounds lovely in the Autumn and in the lead up to Christmas. I would definitely love to visit.
There is a fair amount of family drama and some difficult themes. There is still space for romance and fun and some heartwarming moments. I really enjoyed reading this book and I can't wait to read the next book in the series.
Thank you to Netgalley and Boldwood books for my ARC.

This is the 2nd book in the Juniper Meadows Series and even though I have read the first book, I was able to mostly follow along. I do recommend reading the first book though. It won’t be a hardship because this author writes really well. I enjoyed the characters, setting, and story line.
Thanks Boldwood Books and NetGalley for this book.

Loved the second book in this series even though i havn't read the first one but will definetly now.
Hope is looking for the brother she never grew up with due to there parents splitting up when her mother was pregnant with her. She find a notice in a paper with funeral arrangements for her dad that she has never met and decides to turn up.
Ben doesnt want anything to do with her then later decides to seek family out. And finally meet his mother.
Amelia is also having family problems and she and ben become close when he vists his long lost family.

Great to be back in Juniper Meadows catching up with Hope and her family. A lovely easy read telling the story of the brother, Ben, that Hope has only just found out about and the trials and joy of him getting to know the family he also knew nothing about. Lovely heartwarming Christmassy story perfect for curling up in front of a fire with

Beautiful and heart warming seasonal read with added suspense. A gorgeous book which I highly recommend.

This was a cute read, heartwarming story about love and family. Wish I would have read this first book before reading this one.

Thanks to the Publisher and Netgalley for an early review copy.
I thoroughly enjoyed my trip back to Juniper Meadows and catching up with Hope and her family.
Hope finds out that he father has passed away. She thinks about Ben and how he will be coping. She attends the funeral and informs Ben that she is his sister.
That revelation finds Ben learning about all the lies his father told him.
To find out what happened all those years ago he comes to Juniper Meadows, the ancestral estate that his long-lost relatives, the Travers family own.
Whilst Amelia, is also linked to the Travers, but in a different way, and is eager to put things right.
When they meet, Ben and Amelia find themselves drawn to each other, but, as things are awkward between their families, will it impact on their new relationship?
I can’t wait to find out what happens next.
I highly recommend this book.

I really wanted to like this book, based on the premise however it was confusing from the beginning and never seemed to be able to get back on track

In From the Cold is a fun romance about two people dealing with new and stressful family issues. Ben finds out his mother is not dead as he was always led to believe and that he has a sister, while Amelia is dealing with a psycho dad who almost destroys the family name with his craziness. They all come together at a resort called Juniper Meadows that Ben's rich family owns. I enjoyed the family dynamics of Ben and the crew at Juniper, Amelia was a bit tiresome in that she spends most of the book beating herself up for other people's problems. I liked the cozy feeling the book gave and the characters were very well written. I felt that in Amelila's case, it was rehashing the same thing again and again. Anyway, a good story that is perfect for a cool fall/winter night.

The second book in the 'Juniper Meadows' series is a captivating exploration of complex family dynamics. While it works as a stand-alone read, I recommend readers to read the first book in the series to gain a better understanding of each character's situation and personality.
Upon finishing the book, I was left with some unanswered questions that could potentially be addressed by exploring the author's other works. The writing style is clear and the descriptions vividly bring the story to life. This was a 24-hour read for me.
However, it must be noted that the book did not fully meet my expectations, and I found it slightly disappointing. Despite this, I would recommend to those seeking an easy but engaging experience.

I started reading this book before I'd read the first, I quickly realised that to get the best from the story I should read them in order, fortunately it was already in my TBR list so went back. I loved the first one and had high hopes for this and I'm pleased to say that I wasn't disappointed. This one concentrates more on Ben, Hope's surprise brother, and Amelia, her best friend. At the end of the first book the two girls hasn't been talking due to Amelia's feelings of guilt, so I was hoping that things would improve between them. Also, with Hope having a brother that she hadn't been aware of I was intrigued by the back story there. With the wonderful Cotswolds setting and a family that was so supportive of each other and their friends and neighbours, this was exactly the type of place that I'd love to live. A great book to immerse yourself in and dream of living in such an idyllic place.
I received an advance copy of this book from the publisher through Netgalley, however this did not influence my review of the book.

I preferred this book to the first. This one didn't drag as much and I was a little more invested in the characters. A bit disappointed that it evolved more around a romance than delving into the family story and reconnection.

We first learned about Hope’s complicated family life in book one. We also learned that her brother had no interest in rekindling his relationship with their mother, so this avenue seemed worthless exploring. However, Sarah Bennett takes us on a heartrending journey as we uncover the levels of deceit that their father stooped to, in his determination to keep Ben away from his mother, Stevie.
Meanwhile, also being drawn back to Juniper Meadows is Hope’s childhood best friend, Amelia. Still reeling from the actions of her father, Amelia has estranged herself from her friends and she is slowly running out of options. With a stubborn streak of determination, she is resolved to remove any association with her erstwhile father and that includes paying off all the debts that he has racked up in their name.
This is a very special story that deals with some darker themes in a kind sensitive manner. It was lovely to revisit the characters from the first book, but I was glad that the focus was on both Ben and Amelia. I really felt for Amelia in book one and won’t deny that I had hoped that she may rekindle her romance with Hope’s cousin, Rhys. However, Sarah Bennett had a much better plan, and I absolutely loved this gentle romance.
Juniper Meadows is an idyllic setting, and it truly is a place that I would love to visit, from the crafts centre and tearoom to the gin production, there’s plenty of things to do.
For me, the most striking elements lay with the character development. We met Hope and Cam in the last book, as well as Hope’s family and friends, but this time, they benefitted from additional exposure. Of course, we learned more about Amelia, but we also peeled back Stevie’s character and examined the pain that she had endured after leaving Ben behind.
I can highly recommend this book and hope that you will enjoy it as much as I did.

I understand that In From the Cold by Sarah Bennett is the second book in a series. This makes me feel better for the state of bewilderment I found myself in at the beginning. And I think it was that bad start that made me struggle to read it. I am sure that those who have read and enjoyed its predecessor will be delighted with this.

Review of In From The Cold by Sarah Bennett. This is the second book in the Juniper Meadows series but can be read as a stand-alone. However for the best reading experience I would recommend reading Where We Belong first, it was a great book so you really wouldn’t want to miss it.
This is another brilliant contemporary novel by Sarah Bennett. With a strong story line and engaging characters. All set in a lovely location. Perfect for you winter reading.

It felt
Good to be back at juniper meadows for the next instalment of this wonderful series. If you haven’t read book one this could be read as a standalone but highly recommend reading in order for the full experience.
I love the setting of this book and sounds like a fabulous place to live. Love how this author through her themes explores relatable issues in her books
In this case loss and grief and families coming together were covered along with how secrets of the past
Can shape the future. Loved reading how the characters become more established in this instalment with the introduction of some new ones along the way.
Can’t wait for the next instalment of this series.

In From The Cold by Sarah Bennett is a most charming contemporary novel. It is the second book in the Juniper Meadows series but can be read as a stand-alone.
I thoroughly enjoyed my return visit and meeting up with familiar faces. The love and care shine through the novel.
We see that we are not destined to repeat the sins of the fathers. We can break free from their stronghold. It is never too late to have a fresh start.
It is important to follow our dreams and not live out the life that others thrust upon us.
Everyone has natural talents. We need to develop our talents and nurture our giftings.
Within the novel there is the spirit of hospitality and generosity. People share what they have with others. Money is only any good if we use it to help where we can. We should not just watch it grow whilst others struggle.
When loved ones die, we all experience grief differently. If we find out things about our loved ones after they have gone, we may feel bitter and anger towards them. We must not let any new revelations spoil the memories we have.
All the characters were delightfully drawn. The reader feels very much a part of Juniper Meadows. We all receive a warm welcome. I look forward to many more visits.
I received a free copy via Rachel’s Random Resources. A favourable review was not required. All opinions are my own.

When Ben’s father dies he finds many family secrets he did not know about. Ben travels to check out some of these secrets and he meets a woman, Amelia, whose father also keep secrets. While coming to grips with those secrets, they find themselves getting closer. Can they be more than friends? I received an ARC from NetGalley and Boldwood Books for my honest review.

I didn’t realise until after I’d finished this book that it was the second book of the Juniper Meadows series. It can though be read easily as a standalone book, although I will definitely be going back to read the first book! We meet Hope Travers and Ben Lawson who have found out they are brother and sister. Their father has just died, but when Hope turns up at his funeral, Ben meets the sister he never knew he had. The storyline follows Ben coming to terms with this and in the process meeting Hope’s friend, Amelia.
I’ve loved this author’s previous books, and really enjoyed this one! The two main characters, Hope and Ben, are such likeable characters and it was wonderful to watch them getting to know each other. I also really liked Amelia’s character and felt for her with all the problems she was having with her family. The storyline flowed along well and was full of lots of family dramas and secrets which kept me hooked into Ben and Amelia’s storylines. Their blossoming friendship and relationship were truly heart-warming, and I kept my fingers crossed as it moved on that they ended up together!
I thoroughly enjoyed going to Juniper Meadows and loved the location! It was very seasonal, and the coolness of autumn and winter certainly cooled me down in the current heatwave! The supporting characters were all lovely, and I loved the idea of living and working within the Estate. This author writes such warming and true to life books which are easy to read, and they fill you with the love of the family and friends that you are reading about! I’m definitely heading back to Book one of the series to meet Hope and her family all over again! Would recommend!
